Here's where we left off with 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' season 1.

I, for one, didn't expect to fall in love with Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. But what can I say? Those damn catchy musical numbers and intriguing plot lines have captured my heart. And now one of the greatest shows of all time is finally coming back for more: season 2 premieres on Friday, October 21, on The CW.

It may have been awhile since you last caught up with Rebecca, Josh, Valencia and the gang. So before the premiere, here's everything you need to catch up with from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend season 1!

If you're totally new here, let me give you a quick overview: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is the story of Rebecca Bunch, a high-level New York attorney who is unhappy at work, suffers from anxiety and depression, and has a tendency to make rash decisions. After randomly running into her ex-boyfriend from summer camp, Josh, on the street, Rebecca decides on a whim to move to his hometown of West Covina, California and start a new life there. But she's totally not moving there just because that's where Josh lives. (Yes, she is.)

Upon arriving in West Covina, Rebecca discovers that Josh has a long-term girlfriend named Valencia. (PLOT TWIST.) Rebecca gets a job at a local law firm, where she meets her new BFF Paula and boss Darryl. The first season is centered around Rebecca and Paula's countless schemes to get Josh to forget about Valencia and fall madly in love with Rebecca. Another major player in all of this is Greg, Josh's childhood friend, who Rebecca is having a fling with at the time of the season finale. Got all that?

Good. Phew. Okay, so here's where we left off in the last episode:

After spending a weekend cooped up in her house having insane amounts of sex with Greg, Rebecca finds herself admitted to the hospital with a UTI. When Paula comes to visit her, she finds out that Rebecca has been sleeping with Greg and promptly freaks out. (Because she's spent all this time intricately planning to get Rebecca and Josh back together. We're talking very intricate planning.) She performs a dramatic musical number about betrayal and storms out.

Greg, having just bumped into Josh bringing Rebecca flowers, begins to wonder if Rebecca is really over Josh. He concludes that his best bet is to assume a "super chill bad boy who will never openly admit that he likes you" identity to protect himself. Because that always works out great.

Rebecca, on the other hand, has come to terms with the fact that her feelings for Greg go beyond just physical attraction and plans to tell him how she really feels. Her first attempt while they're hanging out at her house doesn't go so well, but she's convinced they'll have their moment at Josh's sister's wedding.

Meanwhile, Josh has decided to finally pull the trigger and propose to Valencia. He asks her to let him do it in his own time, and she agrees.

At the wedding, Josh is blown away when he sees Rebecca looking like a straight-up princess. He goes over to her and starts telling her that Greg is complicated and that he'll disappoint her. Greg sees the two of them talking from across the room and decides that he must have been right about Rebecca still liking Josh, and gets fantastically drunk to help hide his true feelings for her. Rebecca attempts multiple times to tell Greg she cares about him, but he's too drunk to realize it and ultimately tells her, "I think you're cool," before passing out.

At the request of Darryl, who is also at the wedding with his new boyfriend White Josh, Paula comes back to comfort the sad Rebecca and they make up.

Later, Josh's aunt gives him a ring for his proposal to Valencia. Sounds great, right? Wrong. Josh finds out Valencia and Aunt Myrna have planned this little scheme and he is super pissed. ANOTHER PLOT TWIST! It's Valencia who ends up dumping Josh when she realizes that after 15 years of dating he may never ask her to marry him.

Josh catches Rebecca's eye from across the room and asks her to meet him outside. He brings her to his sister's "Just Married" car, tells her that he and Valencia are over, and shows her the letter she wrote him when they were at summer camp, which he apparently keeps on him.

SO, as you might guess, Josh and Rebecca hook up on the hood of that super cool red convertible. (Greg, meanwhile is drunkenly puking into a trash can and finally admits to his empty room that he's in love with Rebecca.) After she and Josh have sex, Rebecca blurts out that she did indeed move to West Covina for him. This is brand new information for Josh, and he looks understandably freaked out. Oblivious to his horror, she calls out, "This is our moment, Josh Chan! I’m just so excited our love story can finally begin!” And then the episode ends.

So that's where we're at and ready for Season 2! It's going to be so good, you guys.

'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' star Rachel Bloom opens up about her struggle with depression and anxiety.

Rachel Bloom is the co-creator and star of the always brilliant, always hilarious Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. What you may not know is that, like many people, Bloom suffers from anxiety and depression. She recently opened up about her mental health battle in an essay for Glamour.

Bloom says the anxiety and depression she dealt with as a child "came back in full force" while she and her Crazy Ex-Girlfriend co-creator, Aline Brosh McKenna were writing the show'spilot episode. Her character on the show, Rebecca, also suffers from depression. There's a scene in the pilot where she Googles, "How long can a person go without sleep?" Bloom says that scene was "inspired by me at my very worst."

In the essay, Bloom details her most recent "spiral," which she says started with "one sleepless night" during the time where she and McKenna were pitching the show to networks. "In my head, this was my chance to 'make it,' which hinged on my performing in those meetings," she writes. "I didn't sleep for a second that night."

A few weeks after she had made it through all her pitch meetings, Bloom's then boyfriend, now husband, Dan Gregor proposed. Even though it was a joyful occasion, Bloom explains that it brought up some leftover relationship anxiety from when the two had dated long-distance and she had worried the relationship would fail. That combined with her sleep anxiety was not a good mix. Bloom says she fell into "the worst depression" of her life.

That's when she sought the help of a psychiatrist. "In his office I finally felt safe," Bloom shared. "I told him everything. Each session improved my life. He diagnosed me with low-grade depression and put me on a small amount of Prozac."

Since then, Bloom has been coping with her depression through meditation and by being open and honest with her loved ones about how she's feeling.

She says she's in a good place now. "And when I'm tired, I just fall asleep."

She rocks.

Woman accuses Donald Trump of sexual assault at U.S. Open: 'I was in shock.'

A woman named Karena Virginia held a press conference in New York City on Thursday to accuse Donald Trump of sexual assault.

The yoga instructor and inspirational speaker tearfully told her story alongside her lawyer, Gloria Allred. She says the sexual assault happened at the U.S. Open in 1998, where she met the businessman "by chance" when she was 27-years-old.

As she waited for a car to leave the event, she says she saw Donald Trump and overheard him talking to his associates about her.

"He said, 'Hey, look at this one. We haven't seen this one before. Look at those legs' as if I was an object rather than a person," said Virginia.

"He then walked up to me and reached his right arm and grabbed my right arm, then his hand touched the right side of my breast."

"I was in shock," she said. Trump allegedly responded to her physical recoil by saying: "Don't you know who I am? Don't you know who I am?"

According to Mic, Virginia marks the 12th woman to accuse Donald Trump of sexual assault.

Blac Chyna bought herself a $400,000 push present, like you do.

On Thursday, Rob Kardashian's fiancée and soon-to-be baby mama, Blac Chyna, Instagrammed a picture of herself with her new $400,000 gift to herself—a brand new Rolls Royce. Because that's how you roll when you're super rich, duh.

Her caption reads, "A little gift to myself for working this hard all year! Cant wait to bring my baby girl home!" She's almost definitely referring to her actual human baby girl there, and not the car.

Some sites are reporting this purchase as Blac Chyna's "push present." A few of you out there are probably wondering, "What's a push present?" A push present is a gift that the half of the couple not giving birth typically gives to the half that is. There's no rule saying a woman can't buy her own push present, and if you're going to do it, why not go big? And if you're marrying someone ridiculously wealthy, why not go even bigger?

But I don't think this is a push present, because, imo, there's no way that she's not expecting a gift from Rob. Although that doesn't mean she won't pick that out herself, too.

This middle schooler asked his mom to pack him two lunches a day for the sweetest reason.

This 14-year-old boy and his mom may have single handedly restored my faith in America today. Josette Duran, from New Mexico, had been packing her 14-year-old son, Dylan, an extra school lunch every day, at his request. For awhile, she just assumed he was hungry (teenagers!). But then she eventually found out the real reason, and it's heartbreakingly sweet.

"Are you not getting full boo?" Duran asked her son, she wrote in a Facebook post which has since gone viral. Dylan responded: "Yes Mom its for this boy. He only eats a fruit cup for lunch can you make him lunch too? I don't think he has lunch money."

Here's the full post. Warning: may cause feelings.

Dylan: Mama can you make me TWO lunches today? Me: Are you not getting full boo? Dyl: Yes Mom its for this boy. He only...

Posted by Josette Duran on Friday, September 9, 2016

Turns out being an awesome person runs in this family, because Duran continued to pack her son two meals, and left encouraging notes in both lunches. Then one day she was called in for a meeting with the principal, and learned that the other boy's mom had found out about Duran's kindness and wanted to repay her.

“She says, ‘I know this isn’t much, but I just got a job, and I know you’ve been feeding my son,’” Duran explained in a Facebook video she posted on Oct. 14, which has been reposted by Iowa-based news station KCCI:

Mom packs an extra lunch for son's friend & video goes viral

HEARTWARMING: A mother packed an extra lunch for her son's friend for weeks. The woman found out the little boy's mom lost her job and couldn't afford to pay for his school lunches.

Posted by KCCI on Friday, October 14, 2016

In the video, which has been viewed over twenty million times, Duran gets weepy as she talks about her son's good deed. "It's pretty intense," she says through tears.

The story gets even better. Duran said that the players on the volleyball team she coaches raised $400 to repay her for the lunches. But instead of keeping the money, she put it all towards paying off past-due accounts at her son's school cafeteria. “So now, nobody in that school owes any money,” she says in the video. “And now everyone can eat.”

And better: apparently her good dead has set off a ripple effect. A few days after she posted the video, an Iowa man named Jerry Fenton was inspired by Duran's story to give $700 to pay off overdue lunch bills for kids at the elementary school he went to as a child, he told the Des Moines Register. “I don’t want to tell people what to do, but it’s always nice when people do nice things," he said. Amen to that.

The strangest thing is how much this high school senior looked like Barb from 'Stranger Things.'

Everyone saw fan favorite Barb meet her grim and slimy end at the hands (claws?) of the Demogorgon in Netflix's summer hit Stranger Things—but what if she somehow made it out of the upside down alive?

A Reddit user recently uploaded a picture of their coworker's senior portrait taken in the '80s. Not only does the person in the photo strike an uncanny resemblance to the beloved Stranger Things character, but her name is also Barbara, and she goes by Barb. BARB LIVES!

The Redditor says their coworker, who works as a nurse, was inspired to dig up her senior portrait after watching the show.

Maybe the upside down is actually just a high school yearbook? Sounds scary.

Sarah Jessica Parker shoots down sexist rumors of 'catfighting' among 'Sex and the City' castmates.

Sarah Jessica Parker didn't take it lightly when she heard rumors of "catfighting" between her and fellow Sex and the City stars Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis. During a recent appearance on The Howard Stern Show, the actress shot down reports of behind-the-scenes feuding and pointed out the sexist double standard for how male and female friendships are perceived.

"This sort of narrative, this ongoing catfight, it really upset me for a very long time," she said.

She said it bothered her a lot in part because her male castmates weren't subject to the same scrutiny. “It used to really confound me and really upset me because we were part of a family of Sopranos and no one ever questioned the relationships of the men on that show and no one ever said to them, ‘Did you hang out this weekend with each other? Did you give each other Christmas presents?’ ” the 51-year-old actress told Stern. “These were my sisters, these were people that I grew to love and admire.”

She admitted that every day on set wasn't "perfect," and that everyone wasn't always "desperately, hopefully in love with each other" (that actually sounds like it would be a disaster). But she said the cast was "a family of people who needed each other, relied upon each other and loved each other."

TELL 'EM, SARAH.

Sidenote: Were Aidan and Big fighting behind-the-scenes? Because that I'd love to see.

You can listen to the full interview here:

In summation: just because women are interacting or even arguing doesn't mean they hate each other.

Audience participation is major in Rocky Horror and longtime fans have all the key moments memorized by heart. Here are the most important heckles so you can participate in audience participation, from the comfort of your own home. (Warning: NSFW language, but it's nothing Donald Trump hasn't said!)

1. Whenever Brad appears or his name is said, yell "Asshole!"

2. When you see Janet, yell "Slut!" (Sadly, Janet has been slut-shamed for 40 years)

3. During "Science Fiction Double Feature," whenever Trixie says "Doctor X," add "Sex Sex Sex!"

4. Put a newspaper over your head like Janet as they approach the Frankenstein Place in the rain, and squirt water guns if you're willing to clean it up.

5. When Frank-N-Furter says "Shiver with antici—" during "Sweet Transvestite," yell "SAY IT!"

6. At the end of "Touch-A Touch-A Touch Me" after every character says "creature of the night," yell "Switch!"

7. When you see Dr. Scott, boo or yell "Kiss ass!"

8. Throw toilet paper when Brad enters the lab and says "Great scott!"

(I couldn't find a "Great Scott!" Rocky Horror GIF so I had to go with Back to the Future)

Khloe Kardashian launches size-inclusive denim line for 'the real girls.'

Khloe Kardashian is taking a stand for the "real girls." She recently launched her new size-inclusive Good American denim line, which ranges from size 0-24.

At the launch of the Good American line at a Nordstrom in Los Angeles, Kardashian said that she and business partner Emma Grede hoped to create "a designer denim that was still trendy and cool and edgy that went into a variety of sizes that for some reason, the market feels like they don’t need to produce, which is really unfair."

She also hopes that the rest of the fashion industry will follow suit. “I know it’s going to be more competition but we want them [designers] to copy us and hopefully expand their line into larger sizes and to real woman sizes and to really embrace this trend. We want it to be a trend forever,” she said.

Kardashian said the inspiration for a size-inclusive denim line came from her own experience feeling body-shamed when she tried to buy denim in boutiques that didn't carry her size. With her own denim line, she said, "I’m fighting for all the real girls and all the girls with hips and curves, yes!”

Khloe, the real girls thank you.

Waitress receives worst 'tip' ever telling her 'a woman's place is in the home.'

0
0

Today in nightmare news from the customer service industry, the internet is enraged after a waitress in Greenville, South Carolina, received the very worst kind of "tip" from customers: unsolicited advice.

Some awful customers at the restaurant where she works left, in place of a cash tip, a long note scribbled on a napkin. It gets worse. In the note, in a deeply misogynist tone, the customers reprimanded their server about her life choices and reminded her "a woman's place is in the home," adding "it even says so in the Bible."

If you can stomach it, the full note reads:

Dear (name omitted,)

The woman's place is in the home. Your place is in the home. It even says so in the Bible. You may think that you're contributing to your household by coming into work, but you're not. While you're in here 'working' this is the reason your husband must see another woman on his way home from a long day at his work. Because you should be home taking care of the household duties, you may think what you are doing 'working' is right, it is really essentially a disgrace to his manhood and to the American family. So instead of coming to your 'job' and looking for handouts to feed your family, how's about going home and cleaning your house and cooking a hot meal for your husband and children, the way your husband and God intended, and help make America great again. Praying for families and our nation.

Love,

(Guests' last name)

These people are straight up the worst. Even if they happened to arrive at the restaurant by time machine from the 1950's, they should know that you leave MONEY for your server, not a napkin with words on it.

The server, who wanted to remain anonymous, told WYFF News that the customers were a couple in their mid-50's who had been otherwise friendly to her throughout the meal. So she was shocked to receive this nightmare of a "tip" from them. "I felt mortified, embarrassed, humiliated even," she said. "It is a bit disheartening and discouraging that things like this happen at this day and age."

Luckily her co-worker, Elizabeth Neal, has her back. Neal posted a photo of the note to Facebook along with her own response.

This was left, with no monetary tip, to a coworker of mine. For those who can't read the small writing, here is what it...

Posted by Elizabeth Laurel Neal on Friday, October 14, 2016

Her (fantastic) response to the note reads:

Dear lovely guest,

You cannot demean a worker that provides a service that you enjoy. Without my coworker, myself, and the countless others females in the service industry, you and others with your same mindset would not enjoy the "excellent service" that we provide. May I ask why you were eating out, instead of eating the nice meal that your wife obviously must have prepared for you at home?

Do you write this lovely note to every female server you have? Every woman who is a single mom supporting her children? Every woman whose husband has passed away and is struggling to make ends meet? Every military wife who is trying to pay bills while her husband is away? And God-forbid, every woman who enjoys working? How dare they, what an outrage! Your server makes $2.13 an hour, and deserved to be paid for the service she provided for you. To someone who comes from a generation that often complains that those younger than him have everything handed to them, you seem awfully entitled.

Sir, you have no idea about the life your server lives. The server you wrote this to, for example, does her job because she enjoys it, does indeed cook dinner for her boyfriend, and keeps her house immaculate. And if she didn't? There would be nothing wrong with it.

So how's about instead of writing demeaning and hurtful notes to your servers in lieu of a tip, you stay at home and save us all from the experience of waiting on you.

Sincerely,
A female server who loves her job, and doesn't give a rat's furry behind if you think it's "appropriate" for me to work.

On that note, don't forget to tip your servers! With cash. And if you're reading this and you think a woman's place is "in the home," reminder that it's 2016 and a woman's place is wherever the hell she wants it to be.

World's coolest dad makes amazing Tauntaun for his son's 'Star Wars' costume.

It's not unusual for parents to make Halloween costumes for their kids, but one dad has gone above and beyond expectations. So far above and beyond, in fact, you might say he's taken kids' Halloween costumes to a whole other galaxy. Clint Case (who is a leather artist by trade, to be fair) created an extremely realistic-looking Tauntaun for his son'sStar Wars Halloween costume. This tiny little Jedi is definitely going to have the most impressive costume on the block this year.

He looks like he just came straight from Hoth.

And here's a close-up of the beast itself.

The Force is strong in this one. Hey, Clint, can you help me make my costume next year?

This is why you don't store your eye drops next to your vape liquid.

0
0

A case report in the journal JAMA Opthamology recounts the eye-watering story of a Scottish woman who accidentally poured vape liquid into her eye after confusing it for her prescription eye drops. Luckily she was OK, but as you can imagine, the experience was none too pleasant.

The woman, who is in her 50s, immediately knew something was up. She immediately suffered pain, redness, and blurred vision. Plus her eye suddenly couldn't stop talking about EDM.

She quickly rinsed out the juice, preventing any serious damage from taking place. She went to the hospital, where doctors determined the vape oil had a pH of six, meaning it was mildly acidic. But still, who even knows what's in that crap?

As the authors of the study point out, vape liquid typically comes in bottles very similar to eye drop bottles, without any warning label explaining what to do if the user accidentally squirts it into their damn eyeball.

Just asking for trouble.

Will this unfortunate incident lead to greater regulation of the fledgling vape industry? Right now it's the wild west out there. And while we're at it, maybe we can make it illegal to exhale a giant cloud of sickly-sweet vapor onto somebody walking by on the street. Punishable by death.
