In the years since face swapping was invented, we've seen plenty of creepy examples. Whether someone is face swapping with a tattoo, their hand, or their eerily similar half-sister and reality show co-star, there are countless ways this technology can go wrong. But Redditor mghnfcgdf has outdone them all by face swapping with a medical dummy in a hospital bed. The result is something straight out of your worst nightmare.
The creepiest part is that on the dummy, her face looks plastic too. It's a bizarre optical illusion that will make you question whether everyone in your life is just a realistic doll, and your entire reality has always been an elaborate lie.

Man hacks his stolen cell phone, uses the footage to make a movie about the thief.
What happens to a phone after it gets stolen? This is the question that Dutch filmmaker Anthony van der Meer pondered after his phone was snatched along with his personal information, photos and contacts. So van der Meer to matters into his own hands by purchasing another phone, bugging it with spyware, and allowing it to purposely be stolen with the intention of keeping tabs on the thief.
After four days of leaving his phone exposed and unwatched in public areas, no one seemed to want to steal the phone (yay humanity!). Of course, once the cameras stopped rolling, a man swiped his cell while in the metro, which seems suspicious, but you can assess for yourself if the documentary is legit or not.
So essentially van der Meer stalked his phone's captor, tracking his movements, taking pictures and video without consent, and spying on his calls. Technically, he was doing something more illegal than stealing a phone in the first place.
And creepier.

Chrissy Teigen blesses Christmas with a silly, sexy faux-workout video.
Behold! Chrissy Teigen is adorable, sexy, hungry, and sporting retro jazzercise wear in a faux-workout video for Day 16 of Love magazine's annual Advent calendar (a different model or pop star each day for the 25 days leading up to Christmas, for all you non-gentiles).
For the workout video, the 31-year-old Sports Illustrated model has been styled to look like Olivia Newton-John and Flashdance rolled into one. It's like if a Patrick Nagel picture and a Carls Jr. commercial had a baby.

Anyone who has ever kept up with the Kardashians knows Khloe has always struggled with her weight. Even the president-elect publicly called her a "fat piglet." Now that she's finally fit, people are asking why now?
Khloe explains the damned if you do, damned if you don't situation in this month's Health Magazine.
Some people were like, "It took you so long to lose weight." And I'm like, "I've been fat or out of shape my whole life. It's gonna take time to reprogram my body." But some people were like, "I liked you better when you were fat." I get body-shamed now that I work out! But I don't care what weight I am. It's genuinely about me being healthy. I was never like, "I want to lose 30 pounds in 30 days." Trust me: I've done juice cleanses. I did the Master Cleanse. Like, what would Beyoncé do? But it didn't work for my body and my lifestyle.
The Good American designer reveals that what really kicked things off for her was when her marriage to Lamar Odom fell apart.
I was going through my divorce, and I just really needed an outlet. I had turned to food and had an unhealthy relationship with food my whole life, and I was like, "Food has never helped me lose weight." So I joined Equinox. I escaped there, and as a by-product, I started losing weight.

Khloe says working out gave her some relief from the pressure of public life, and once she started seeing results she hired a personal trainer. Eventually, she was teamed up with a nutritionist who, along with tragically telling her to cut out dairy, dropped a really hard truth about one size definitely not fitting all.
Kim can eat anything, and I'm like, "I hate you." The nutritionist was like, "Kim has a body like a Ferrari, and you have a body like a Honda." I was like, "Yep, that sounds about right. That's my life—you just summed it up right there."

Kate Beckinsale and Michael Sheen have the sweetest reaction to their daughter getting into college.
Actress Kate Beckinsale shared an adorable photo of her and ex Michael Sheen celebrating their daughter Lily's acceptance into college.
The picture shows Sheen scooping up his daughter and his ex for big, celebratory hugs, which Beckinsale calls the "appropriate fatherly response" to the happy news. The opposite of this will happen when Lily has to pay her first student loan, though.

Tinder doofus blows it with super flirty girl by trying too hard to play along.
Most dudes on Tinder are so used to rejection, they're easily overwhelmed when a woman makes it easy for them. (I speak from personal experience.) That's what happened to Redditor jorgeselva. He matched with a young woman who immediately started flirting with him HARD. But then he got ahead of himself, and wound up ruining everything. Still, you can't help but feel for him.
Ouch. Tough break, dude. For what it's worth, I get what you were trying to do.
At the same time, jorgeselva deserves a lot of credit for sharing this online so the men of Reddit could learn from his mistake. But predictably, they cut him no slack.

Olivia Wilde calls out breast pump ad featuring a model who is definitely not a new mom.
Actress Olivia Wilde is the mom of two young kids (the youngest of which was just born in October), so we're pretty sure she knows what having a child, and subsequently breastfeeding that child, does to your body. When she saw an ad for a breast pump bra worn by an extremely fit model who clearly did not just have a baby, she took to Instagram to call it out.
Her caption reads:
Real quick just wanna take a break from online (lazy-person) x mas shopping to call bullshit on ad for a breast-pump bra cuz this lady definitely did not recently birth a child who requires breastmilk to be pumped. Also want to give a quick cyber hug to this model who had to pretend to have recently birthed a milk-fed baby-child when she clearly has spent the last year lifting tiny weights and meditating. (Side note: why does Amazon insert breast-pump ads into every single goddamn search I make? I'm no longer in the market for more pump supplies Amazon! Shut it down!) PS. The struggle is real between this family's Roomba and their lazy dog.
I can't stop laughing at this too-real, too-relatable video of a lazy dog engaged in quiet battle with a Roomba. And it's not just because I had three cups of coffee today, I swear!
The puppy, named Gauge, belongs to Texas couple Julie and Andrew Zak, who uploaded this video of him trying to rest in the very spot their Roomba was trying to clean.

This is what happens when Bill Gates is your Secret Santa.
Every year Reddit facilitates a worldwide Secret Santa gift swap so you can buy gifts for a stranger you would normally argue with over the content sharing platform. Participants vary in age, race and socioeconomic status, so you truly never know who you are going to paired up with, but everyone always secretly wishes they will get richest person in the world, Bill Gates. Gates has been participating in the gift swap since 2013, and this year, one lucky Redditor out of the 119,000 participants was matched up with multi-billionaire. Spoiler alert: he did NOT disappoint.
Reddit user Aerrix was the lucky girl this year, and received a giant box from the philanthropist filled with expensive gifts catered to her specific nerdy desires. She claims that her jaw dropped when she opened the oversized packaged and saw the coveted signed note and picture of Bill Gates staring back at her.
As is customary when receiving a gift through Reddit's Secret Santa, Aerrix uploaded the photos of her loot with a thank you note to the sender, and she doesn't skip a detail when describing her surprises. First thing she did was call her husband at work to tell him the good news. Next, her mom. Then she tore into the gifts.
I just had to go for the two unwrapped boxes that said 'Aerrix's Mittens' and 'Clairrix's Mittens' first. My dog's name is Claire, btw, how freakin CUTE IS THAT?! He got me ZELDA MITTENS and you guys, matching ones for my [DOG]!
Next I open the three pink boxes stacked together, and it's three special edition wireless XBOX one controllers! I was confused, but only for a moment, because then I noticed the specific SIZE of the big pink box to my left....I knew what it was, I KNEW WHAT IT WAS. It was an XBOX ONE MINECRAFT EDITION!!!!!!!!! There was also a handwritten note from him that says 'I love my XBOX and thought you might like one too.' Well yes, yes I would!
She also unwrapped a pair of slippers, a Cajun cookbook (she wrote about missing her Uncle's Cajun cooking in her profile), and a Zelda blanket. Gates also included a delicate Master Sword (also from Zelda) completely made out of paper and a custom Zelda picture frame. The photo inside? A picture of Aerrix's family with Gates photoshopped in.

Next Aerrix unwrapped three movies— The Martian, The End of the Tour and Believe: The Eddie Izzard Story. Then she opened a NES Classic Edition. If you are not familiar with the nostalgic gaming console, they are harder to get than a Furbie in 1998.
Finally, Aerrix was down to her last gift. Gates made sure to stick to the theme for the grand finale.

You will relate HARD to this girl who is 'done' studying after half a second.
This is 16-year-old Jes Dhadli.
Dhadli is a high school student attending The Midlands in England and, like so many students right now, is studying for finals. On a whim, Dhadli filmed her good friend Harpreet Nijjar trying to prep for a Biology exam, and happened to catch her in a very "I give up" moment.
As Nijjar told Buzzfeed News, she barely opened her book when she realized “I was just so done.”
Total time Dhadli calculated for Harpreet to become so done? 0.5 seconds.
Who hasn't been there?
Dhadli said she posted the moment to Twitter "as a joke" before going to bed, and by the time she awoke it had been shared over 14,000 times.
Apparently, if you are in high school, this moment is you right now.
Nijjar told Buzzfeed that she did end up taking the test, but never opened the book again. That is just so everyone.

Guy's Tinder slideshow on 'Why You Should Swipe Right' is hilarious and strangely convincing.
Dudes on Tinder have to go to great length to stand out. One enterprising young man has taken that to the extreme, by turning the collection of photos on his Tinder profile into an expertly-produced slideshow explaining why potential dates should give him a chance. He titled his presentation "Why You Should Swipe Right."
This is pretty amazing. What's even more remarkable is that this isn't the first Tinder slideshow we've seen. This strategy must really work.
And why shouldn't it? If there's one thing that turns women on, it's graphs. And the possibility of their boyfriend reaching Paul Rudd-level hotness in under a decade.

Climate change denier taunts 'Social Justice Warriors' on Twitter, gets literally schooled.
On December 9, Toronto Sun editor Lorrie Goldstein tweeted the following jab at all those bleeding-heart Social Justice Warriors who choose to believe in climate change (just because the overwhelming majority of scientists do, and can provide mountains of evidence). Reading this tweet, you can just imagine him chuckling with self-satisfaction.
Enter writer Karen Geier. She decided to take Goldstein up on his challenge by explaining the science in terms even he could understand. And she capped it off with a jab at the tabloid he works for, just for good measure.
Ouch. In retrospect, Goldstein's mistake was assuming that no one would actually know the science of climate change, despite the fact that everyone learns it in elementary school. Maybe he missed that day.

Octavia Spencer's reaction to meeting President Obama should win her an award for Best Face.
The cast of the movie Hidden Figures, including Octavia Spencer, Taraji P. Henson, Janelle Monáe, and Kevin Costner, attended a special screening of their film at the White House on Thursday. Apparently, the meeting was supposed to be with First Lady Michelle Obama only, but President Obama managed to stop by to say hello. And boy howdy, was Octavia Spencer excited about that, as evidenced by this official White House Instagram showing her making the best face.
The picture was taken right after she met President Obama, as he was shaking the hand of Kevin "The Bodyguard" Costner. The caption for the White House's Instagram reads,
That face when the President drops by for a visit. Today, the cast of Hidden Figures visited the White House to highlight the stories of Americans who defied stereotypes and broke glass ceilings to advance human space flight, science, and innovation.
Octavia Spencer re-posted the White House's Instagram on her own account, because why wouldn't you re-gram yourself meeting the president, right? Her repost of the picture included the same caption, only she added, "Our screening was with #FLOTUS but #POTUS surprised us. Humbling bc he has a million things to do but stopped by to say hello!!!! @tarajiphenson"
Octavia Spencer's face is the best part of that Instagram, but the framed picture on the wall behind her of what appears to be President Obama pointing to himself in the mirror is a close second. What even is going on that picture? Is he giving himself a pep talk? If so, seems like it worked. Note to self: talk to the mirror more often.

Woman posts her pants on Facebook to point out how ridiculous women's clothing sizes are.
It's an open secret that the sizes of women's clothes don't mean anything. A size two from one store could be identical to a size ten from another. (As a man, I didn't learn this until I was an adult, and I was horrified.) But even though all women know about this, it doesn't keep impressionable young girls from having their egos warped by the onslaught of contradictory body judgment.
One youth counselor named Deena Shoemaker finally got so sick of this madness, she decided to speak up. She posted pictures of herself to Facebook wearing six different pairs of pants in different sizes. And along with the photos, she included a harshly-worded open letter to the fashion industry. Her message: cut it out.

No I'm not selling my pants; I've just got a bone to pick.
I've worked with teen & pre-teen girls as a leader and counselor in various places for the last 6 years. I've listened to countless girls tell me about their new diets and weight loss fads. I've have girls sob in my arms and ask me, "if I were skinnier, would he have stayed?" I've counseled girls who were skipping meals. I've caught some throwing up everything they've just eaten.
But as I was going through my clothes tonight I started to notice how dramatically different the size of all my pants were. And I have a real problem with the fact that my size 5 pants fit me THE EXACT SAME WAY that my size 12 pants do.
Let me explain why I'm not happy, America. You photoshop models and actresses and slap them on the front of beauty magazines. At this point it's a pretty universally known truth that you're lying to us and those aren't accurate portrayals of the human body. I can prove it to girls pretty easily by simply showing them how photoshop works.
But when you resize a girl's pants from a 9 to a 16 and label it "plus size," how am I supposed to fight that? Photo manipulation is one thing but how do you expect me to convince her that the number printed inside her clothes is a lie too? How do you expect me to convince her that she doesn't need to skip dinner for the next month because her pant size didn't *actually* go up by seven digits?
STOP telling my girls that a size 4 is the "ideal body size" and the "epitome of beauty" if you're going to change a size 4 into an 8 or a 12 or whatever number you feel like on any given day.
And to you; my dear beautiful girls, my size 2 girls or my size 18 girls, your size doesn't determine your beauty; your life does. The size printed inside your clothes is subjective to the fashion industry's personal taste and it fluctuates rapidly. Stop believing the social normatives about who and what you should be.
You are lovely and you are loved.
Just exactly the way you are.
Good on her. The tyranny of this sizing issue has to end. We won't have true gender equality in our society until women's pants are measured in inches, like men's are. It's really a pretty good system.
