Let's celebrate the end of Tax Day by sitting home alone with no money.

Teen becomes internet hero for 'accidentally' smashing her classmate's racist pottery project.

A teen from Washington State has become a controversial Twitter hero after taking a stand against racism in her high school art class. Brigitte Yasamin's story begins yesterday when she noticed the student next to her in pottery class painting a confederate flag on a ceramic box. She took to Twitter to share her anger and disgust.

"Im in my pottery class rn and we're making boxes as our current project and the bitch next to me box is confederate flag themed I'm....sick," she wrote.

She then shared a photo of the box. You'll be....sick, too.

Instead of sitting idly, Brigitte took matters into her own hands.

"Oooppsss" she wrote. I'm no detective, but this doesn't seem like an accident.

Her following tweets confirm that smashing the box was 100% intentional:

Seems like maybe her art teacher doesn't have sympathy for racists either.

No word yet on what the consequences will be. But don't worry, because as we know by now, Brigitte DGAF.

And she has no plans to apologize.

And in case you were wondering, no, she doesn't live in the South.

Brigitte is blowing up on Twitter and being called a "legend" and a "hero."

Of course, there are some people defending the confederate flag and calling out the teen for "smashing someone else's personal property."

But others aren't having it.

And this person made an excellent point.

So did this person:

Whether or not we all agree that this teen deserves a "medal," can we at least agree she deserves an A in pottery class? That smashed confederate flag on the floor is museum-worthy. This girl might be the next Andy Warhol.

Mom shares creepy messages her daughter got on a music app as a warning to other parents.

One mommy blogger is going viral with a sobering warning about the dangers kids face on even the most seemingly innocent corners of the internet. Brenna, the writer behind Suburban Snapshots, shared a screenshot on Facebook of a message her nine-year-old daughter received on the app musical.ly. The app, which her daughter and her friends used to create short music videos with audio and video effects, also includes social networking functions. Apparently, those functions are being used by internet creeps for nefarious purposes.

Brenna writes:

I'm eating some parenting-flavored crow today and reversing my stance on musical.ly. I enjoyed the creative, funny videos Anna would make with her friends. I had rules (no identifying info, private account, and parental access at will). It wasn't the hand gestures or obnoxious song loops or even the swears Anna would always report to me that ended her video career, it was finding that she switched her account to public, had deleted comments, and then this, which I found in her "people you don't know" mailbox. I trust your judgement with your own kids, but remind you to be diligent in monitoring their activity.

Here are the messages she received:

Brenna's readers came forward with messages of support and their own stories.

It's a chilling reminder that parents can't be too careful when their kids are online. There's no app in existence that creeps won't try to use for their own disgusting ends.

Tax Day is one of my favorite days of the year to despise rich people.

Kylie Jenner revealed her morning routine and it sounds exhausting.

Kylie Jenner is a busy gal. She has her own company. She has millions of social media followers to entertain. Now, she's revealed what her morning routine is like, and I have to tell you, I'm exhausted just reading about it.

In an interview with Violet Grey, Jenner revealed that her morning starts when she wakes up in her bedroom next to a fireplace that she says "is always on." After that, she gets to work on her makeup. (No surprise there.)

My makeup room has all these drawers filled with makeup that I just rarely touch because I use the same stuff every day: Laura Mercier Setting Powder, Kylie Cosmetics eyeshadows, two mascaras (Too Faced Better Than Sex and brown Dior Iconic for under the eyes — Dior is a necessity to me). I love MAC brushes, Nars Concealer, Anastasia Brow Wiz, Anastasia Contour Palette, Anastasia Stick Foundation, Makeup Forever Foundation, Becca Blush, Nars Blush, Benefit Blush, Maybelline Fit Me Blush, Stila Lip Color, and Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kits.

After her makeup is all set, Jenner says she makes eggs, rice, and sausage for breakfast (because Tyga's mom used to make him eggs and rice), and has a double shot Americano with almond milk.

After breakfast, she catches up on her texts.

First I read all my texts. I usually have a bunch because I have a lot of family members and we have a big family group chat. The main one is with my three older sisters, Kendall, and my mom. Then we have one with that group plus Scott, then we have a separate one with that group plus Rob.

And then, of course, Instagram.

I check Instagram really fast and see who’s on my feed. When I’m interested I’ll go on YouTube and see what people are saying about Kylie Cosmetics, just to learn how I can improve. Some people say mean things on purpose just to get views.

After that, Kylie Jenner says she wraps up her morning routine with some Kylie Cosmetics meetings.

Man, most mornings I need to guzzle a large iced coffee just to make sure I get to work on time. You keep doing you, Kylie. I'll be over here hitting snooze one more time.

How I Feel When I'm Without My Phone

It seems like Donald Trump might not know who the leader of North Korea is.

In an interview that aired on Fox and Friends Tuesday morning, which Donald Trump surprisingly wasn't live-tweeting himself, the president answered questions about the current situation with North Korea.

Not only does Donald Trump not know what the plan is, it's also possible he doesn't know who is in charge over there.

Trump said that two of his predecessors, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, have "all been outplayed by this gentleman."

"This gentleman" likely refers to the current dictator Kim Jong-Un, who has been in charge since the 2011 death of his father, Kim Jong Il. Bill Clinton, who was president from 1993-2000, was outsmarted by "this gentleman's" father, who is a different person.

People would like the President of the United States to be more specific when discussing foreign adversaries, or at least do a little more research.

If his threatening tweets are any indication, it looks like he'll sure find out who's in charge.

Netflix made a joke about suicide on Twitter and people are mad.

Hulu and Netflix are beefing on Twitter, which makes sense. Because they're both my boyfriends (and also competing popular streaming services for movies and TV). But Netflix's Twitter account may have crossed a line when they made a joke directed at Hulu referencing 13 Reasons Why. A show about suicide.

The beef began innocently enough yesterday when Hulu fired off this salty, promotional tweet:

"Streaming only on Hulu," they wrote. "Not on Netflix." Shots fired!

Netflix then shot back with this tweet, which quickly went viral (you'll only understand if you've seen 13 Reasons Why which, incidentally, is streaming on Netflix):

"Welcome to your tape" is a line from the popular Netflix series (co-produced by Selena Gomez) about a teenaged girl who kills herself, leaving recorded tapes behind for each person who she believes contributed to her suicide.

The line has become a popular "meme reply" on Twitter, with lots of people making similar jokes to Netflix's.

Basically it's a dis that implies: "you make me want to kill myself." And not everyone finds it funny. As Refinery29 explained, the phrase"makes light of the experience of being depressed, isolated, and hopeless."

Now a bunch of people are dragging Netflix on Twitter for the joke.

While others are accusing Netflix of misunderstanding and misrepresenting "the point" of the show.

The show has already sparked controversy online, with some mental health organizations arguing that it "glamorizes" suicide and "does more harm than any good," ABC reports.

Of course, this is Twitter, so not everyone agrees. Others are praising Netflix for their "genius" clap-back and found the joke hilarious.

The thread turned into that age-old debate about whether something that is "just a joke" can also be harmful.

What do you think? Is this joke funny? Or harmful? Could it be.... both?

Sound off in the comments. But be considerate, please. Or else, welcome to your tape.

Kourtney Kardashian shared a nude photo of herself to celebrate her own birthday.

In case you missed the urgent office-wide memo: Kourtney Kardashian turns 38 today. And in honor of her birthday, the mom-of-three celebrated in the most Kardashian way possible: with a classy nude photo of herself.

A post shared by Kourtney Kardashian (@kourtneykardash) on

People may often accuse the Kardashians of having "no talent," but clearly they are all highly skilled at pulling off a classy nude. In public, no less?! If only there was an awards show for that.

Kourtney captioned her most recent Instagram post "birthday suit" because she's in her "birthday suit" and it's her BIRTHDAY. Get it?? People really need to stop asking why these people are famous as if they weren't obviously born to be.

I mean, just days ago, Kourtney Kardashian declared herself the "Queen of Easter."

Queen of Easter.

A post shared by Kourtney Kardashian (@kourtneykardash) on

Another talent the Kardashian family has in abundance: ability to love themselves. So don't hate them 'cuz you ain't them! Especially when there are far better reasons to hate them, such as narcissism, obscene wealth, and vocal fry.

Nobody is getting fired over the United dragging incident, says airline CEO.

After a passenger was dragged off a United airlines flight last week, the internet threw up its arms in outrage. The incident, which was caught on camera, has been watched millions of times by viewers around the world, and left viewers wondering how an airline can treat its customers so poorly and get away with it. Today, the airline's Chief Executive Officer, Oscar Munoz, announced that no one would be fired over the incident, Bloombergreports.

"It was a system failure across various areas, so there was never a consideration for firing an employee or anyone around it," Munoz said Tuesday on a conference call with analysts.

This isn't a huge shock, considering that Munoz previously defended the security officials who violently dragged 69-year-old Kentucky doctor David Dao from his seat and off the flight. In the company-wide letter Munoz characterized Dao as "disruptive and belligerent" and said he "emphatically" supported the employees who removed him.

This was the worst of several recent missteps the third largest airline made, including the upset caused when two young girls were barred from boarding their flight because they were wearing leggings. Oh, and there was a scorpion on a flight that stung a passenger, too.

Dao being dragged off the flight was pretty unanimously seen as inhumane and an abuse of power. It felt like United might receive the #DeleteUber treatment, and face huge backlash, though Bloomberg noted that the airline said it's too early to tell if the bad publicity hurt their earnings for this quarter. Unfortunately, customers are often so limited when it comes to booking flights in the first place, that it might be harder to adhere to a boycott than with something like Uber, where there are plenty of simple alternatives. That's part of why the outrage over the incident was so fiery; customers already feel taken advantage of due to the lack of choice and high cost of flying, so to receive such horrible treatment on top of that feels like salt in the wound.

Munoz is specifically concerned about the Asian market, though, where the video of Dao's treatment rapidly spread, accompanied by anger. He has a trip planned to China in the coming weeks, which is one of United's critical markets, where he plans to meet with officials about the incident. The inherent racism of targeting Dao as the passenger to be removed from the flight has been noted, including a piece called "Why It Matters That the United Dragging Victim Is Asian" on The New Republic. Well, we'll see how this all shakes out for the airline.

Tracy Morgan still calls Jack McBrayer from '30 Rock' by his character's name: Kenneth.

While it's been four years since the final season of 30 Rock aired, Tracy Morgan might still be in character. Either that, or he's never known actor Jack McBrayer's real name.

Monday on Conan, McBrayer told the host about calling up Tracy Morgan to wish him a happy birthday this past November. "Yo Kenneth, I just gotta say man, I love you, thank you for this," McBrayer said was his response. "My name is Jack," he then clarifies for Conan and the audience.

"Kenneth is your character's name," says Conan.

"I know that!" retorts McBrayer. Clearly, it's Morgan who we should be concerned about. That crazy man can't tell fact from fiction. Or maybe he just thinks its more fun to keep the show alive. I certainly revisit the show to feel whole again, from time to time. You can watch the clip here:

Billy Bush is trying to get back on TV and sang a sad 'Grease' parody about it.

After the Access Hollywood tape of Trump bragging about sexual assault leaked leading up to the election this past fall, Billy Bush was promptly fired from NBC. Well, after months he's back and wants America to know that he's ready to be on TV again. He told us this using a classic form of PR: an Instagram video of him singing while getting a haircut.

Time for a haircut with my beloved @tommy_cyr.

A post shared by William Bush (@billybush) on

The tune of choice? "Look At Me, I'm Sandra Dee" from the hit musical Grease. Billy's lyrics went like this:

Look at me, I'm Billy B

Trying to get back on TV

My hair's long and flat and it makes me look fat

And I can't be--I'm Billy B

Honestly, it made me kind of sad. Billy, looking into the camera, brow furrowed, clearly having written these cheesy lyrics ahead of time, while a man behind him silently cuts his hair. Sigh. Good luck out there, Billy B. Maybe there's hope for you yet. After all, the man in that Access Hollywood video did go on to win the election and become our President. Now please enjoy the original Grease version of the song to make you less sad.

Jimmy Kimmel tricked Trump supporters into defending Casey Anthony and Charles Manson. It worked.

Recently, the Trump administration has decided to keep the White House visitor logs secret, even though President Obama made them public during his eight-year term as a matter of transparency.

Jimmy Kimmel decided to run with this factoid for the latest edition of "Lie Witness News," where he told Trump supporters that the president has been taking meetings with everyone from Bill Cosby to Charles Manson. Not only did they believe it, but they fully defended the fictional meetings.

Really.

Check it out.

Whether the correspondent told the Trump supporter that the president is getting tips from Bernie Madoff or learning about child endangerment from Casey Anthony, they seemed pretty chill about the whole thing. Well, except for that one guy who seemed (rightfully) perplexed about Trump allowing John Wilkes Booth to sleep in the Lincoln bedroom.

Man, people will believe anything you say as long as you are holding a microphone.

Zara pulls denim skirt after Twitter points out it has a racist meme on it.

Fresh off a "body positivity" debacle featuring tiny models in skinny jeans, clothing retailer Zara has been forced to pull an embroidered skirt from their website, according to the UK's Guardian. See if you can tell why:

Yes, that's Pepe the Frog, or close enough to draw the ire of commenters on Twitter.

The skirt features several smug-looking cartoon frogs, and the internet was typically quick in making the connection to Pepe, a smug-looking cartoon frog that has become the online mascot for white supremacists. Here's what you get if you type Pepe the Frog into Google Images:

Not great for a skirt.

Pepe frogs often appear in the profile images of the alt-right and the Anti-Defamation League puts it in the category of "General Hate Symbols." (It should be noted that the original cartoon by artist Matt Furie didn't have the hateful connotation. As The Daily Beastexplains, it was only after the meme had been around for years that it was eventually embraced by white supremacists.)

A spokesperson for Zara said "there is absolutely no link to the suggested theme," the Guardian reported. “The designer of the skirt is Mario de Santiago, known online as Yimeisgreat. Mario explores social interactions through his work and in his own words: ‘The idea came from a wall painting I drew with friends some years ago.’"

Nonetheless, the skirt is no longer available on the Zara website.

The Pepe meme has become taboo for brands, and even social-media-hero Wendy's came under fire after tweeting it back in January.

'School' sends 7-year-old home with a 'totally legit' note saying he needs to work on this one thing.

It's important that parents take very seriously any notes sent home from their kids' schools. Except maybe this "totally legit" one, which Redditor EclecticBlue's 7-year-old son Nathan brought home. The note from "the school" claims that Nathan has been "doing good" in all his classes, except video game class.

The school recommends that Nathan be allowed (nay, forced) to stay up all night playing video games, lest he be kicked out of school altogether! Their instructions say that he can play computer, Wii, iPod, iPad, phone, or any other "elecktronic." Come on, "parents," don't you want Nathan to excel?

James Corden insists that he found the worst 'promposal' ever.

Prom season is upon us, which means that we are going to have to endure several months of viral "promposal" photos and videos, a.k.a. teens asking each other to prom in ways that are more elaborate than most proposals.

Although there have been some pretty horrific promposals in the past, like the ones that can be read about here, James Corden swears that he has found the worst of them all.

Around the 2:12 mark in the video below, Corden begins discussing a high school boy from Georgia who staged a fake drug bust with the help of local police in order to get a girl to go to prom with him. And...it...worked?

"Look, this is a family show and I would never usually say this, but f*ck this kid," remarked Corden of the boy who completed his over-the-top promposal with a sign that read 'Say yes or you're under arrest.' Just what every girl dreams of!

Hey teens! Ever try just asking in a sweet and simple way? It works. Ask all the generations of prom-goers that came before you.

Corden later joked, "In my day, school dances were a simple affair. Everyone said no, and I stayed home. It was simple!"

Welp. That works, too.

Tennis match interrupted by loud sounds of amorous couple nearby.

Tennis is a great game, but not everybody finds it super interesting. Like, for example, this amorous couple who were too busy having sex loud to pay attention to a tennis match. Or maybe they were actually really into tennis, and sex was their way of showing it.

The couple wasn't actually at the match, which was between Frances Tiafoe and Mitchell Krueger at the Sarasota Open in Florida, according to Brobible. No, this couple was somewhere nearby, making love SO LOUD that it actually momentarily interrupted the match.

The tennis players aren't the only ones grunting. You can first hear the sounds of lovemaking at around the :10 mark, causing the announcer to say, "Well, that is the most bizarre situation…I don't know how to put this, folks, but somebody's phone, going off in the stands…and it was an adult video."

The sounds quiet down and the match continues, until around the 1:50 mark, when the announcer says, "I still hear it. It's still going. What is going on?" At that moment, one of the players makes everyone burst into laughter by actually yelling out, "IT CAN'T BE THAT GOOD!" "Nope, that's not a phone," the announcer concludes.

Apparently, it can be that good, or else the couple was just really, really, REALLY into the match. Insert pun about tennis/love here.

Kim Kardashian's jokey tweet about her 'amazing diet' is making people burn up.

Poor Kim Kardashian. No matter what she does, it always seems to rub people the wrong way. She currently has the flu, and decided to tweet about it on Wednesday morning with a cute little joke. Nobody else found it cute.

"The Met" refers to the upcoming Met Gala, a star-studded annual red carpet event where A-list celebrities trot out their weirdest outfits and fittest bodies. Last year's theme was "Fashion in the Age of Technology," which Kardashian embraced by dressing like a chandelier. Her husband Kanye West opted for a much eerier option, blue contact lenses.

Together, they looked like rejected X-Men.

It's understandable that Kardashian would want to look her best at the Met, but people on Twitter were not pleased with her "diet" joke.

There's no denying that Kim Kardashian is a role model for countless young, impressionable girls. But is this such a big deal, or are people just trolling her out of habit? This issue is still up for debate, but one thing is clear: Kanye's blue contacts were weird.

Shannon Purser bursted onto this scene this summer playing the dearly departed Barb on Stranger Things, and also appears on this spring's newest obsession Riverdale.Playing Ethel Muggs, Purser has appeared on a few episodes of The CW's sexy Archie Comics-inspired murder mystery teen drama (It's better than it sounds, I swear).

In one of the fist episodes of the show, Betty and Veronica (you know, from the comics!) shared a kiss that was meant to "shock" their peers, which angered members of the LGBT community but also prompted some serious 'shipping.

Jezebel reports that in a now-deleted tweet, Purser commented to co-star Cody Cole Sprouse (who plays Literary Bro Jughead Jones) about "angry beronica stans."

She was then inundated with tweets from people criticizing the show for queerbaiting, using a same-sex kiss as a salacious ratings boost, not a relationship.

She responded:

Shannon Purser later shared a longer note apologizing to people who were hurt by her comment, explaining that she was unfamiliar with the concept of queerbaiting and that she, herself, is bisexual.

Fans responded positively to the note, welcoming her to the LGBTQ+ community and grateful for her apology.

Last week, Shannon Purser tweeted about sexuality.

Here's hoping that Riverdale will catch up to real life and feature some real queer relationships (Kevin Keller deserves better than a Serpent taking advantage of him!)

Sixth grader deliberately breaks school's 'sexist' dress code to send a powerful message.

A sixth grader in Portland, ME has had enough of sexist dress codes.

According to the Portland Press Herald, King Middle School sixth grader Molly Neuner was upset after a teacher allegedly made her and another female student measure their tank top straps and shorts, respectively, in front of the whole class.

"She made us feel really uncomfortable," Molly said. "It was really uncomfortable and weird."

When the teacher found that Molly's tank top straps weren't wide enough to lay two fingers across, she told her to cover up and warned her that her next violation would result in a detention after school. (You can see a photo of the tank top in question if you click through to the Portland Press Herald.)

Molly thought that was pretty unfair, so a couple days later Molly decided to send a message. Last Wednesday, she deliberately violated the dress code and wore a tank top to school. On her arm, she wrote "#IAmNotADistraction," a hashtag that's been used to call out sexist school dress codes before. Molly's mom Christina Neuner posted a photo of her daughter's outfit on Instagram, and explained why the topic was so important to them.

This girl... I have no words for her bravery... Today has been quite a day. We woke up to our strong, brave, beautiful girl on the front page of the paper. When we agreed to be part of the article, I thought that the article would be tucked in the back page of the opinion section. But instead, there she was, front and center standing up for herself for all to see. Some may read this and think it’s “just a strap” or that “rules were meant to be followed” or that “girls should cover up” or (my personal favorite) “it’s a distraction to boys.” But my question to you is, why? Why do you feel like this? Why do you jump to those conclusions? It’s because of what we are taught. We have been taught to mask our own feelings and stay small and not make waves. We are taught that our bodies are inherently sexual objects that WE need to cover so WE stay safe. Well, no longer my friends. We need to stand up for ourselves and our for children. We need to teach our beautiful, young, innocent daughters that their bodies are beautiful and powerful and their own to display or portray in any way they wish WITHOUT consequence. And we need to teach our young, kind, brave sons that they are smart and strong and capable of controlling their own bodies. And don’t even get me started on the issues of the LGBTQ kids who are completely overlooked on this issue. The other piece that this amazing story left out is that last week, the students in my daughter's class had a meeting to review dress code. In that meeting there were many questions about the girls rules and when one of the students asked why the girls had so many rule they were told that it was because they were a distraction to the boys… I’ll let that sink in for a minute… And maybe you need another minute… It is 2017 after all. And while the school has assured us that this is not the opinion of the school, the dress code still stands in place until the end of the year. This is not just about a tank top, it’s about years of underlying messages of shame to our girls that MUST stop. #mybodymybusiness #iamnotadistraction #iammorethanadistraction

A post shared by Christina Neuner 💌 (@christinaneuner) on

“We need to stand up for ourselves and for our children. We need to teach our beautiful, young, innocent daughters that their bodies are beautiful and powerful and their own to display or portray in any way they wish WITHOUT consequence,” Christina wrote in the Instagram caption. “And we need to teach our young, kind, brave sons that they are smart and strong and capable of controlling their own bodies.”

Other girls at school were inspired by Molly's protest, and about 20 of them followed her lead and wore clothes that deliberately violated the dress code.

“It was so cool to see everyone doing it,” Molly said.

It wasn't just other students that were on board, though. Molly says even teachers were coming forward to give her their support.

"My social studies teacher told us that it was super cool we were doing it, and that we were right, that we aren't distractions," Molly said in an interview with Mic. "She was super supportive of it, and our teachers were all super supportive. Then the principal called me into her office and we talked, and she said they would review the dress code at the end of the year."

That day, the school's principal Caitlin LeClair announced that the school will review the dress code at the end of the year with the students' concerns in mind.

“We plan to take this feedback and use it as an opportunity to have some students’ and parents’ input,” LeClair told the Press Herald.

Molly isn't going to let them off with just a promise, though. “I’m happy they’re going to look at it, but I want to make sure they really do it,” she told the Press Herald.

What an awesome kid.
