Matthew Perry reveals the 'Friends' storyline he vetoed because even Chandler has limits.

0
0

Chandler Bing, who is actually an actor named "Matthew Perry," spilled some Friends gossip last night while playing a game called "Plead the Fifth" on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live.

Cohen asked Perry, who seemed a little less than thrilled to be there, to "name a storyline from Friends that you thought jumped the shark or you thought when you got the script, 'is this really happening?"

Perry responded that there was one storyline that made the actor say NOPE. It involved a strip club—and sandwiches.

“There was a storyline on Friends where Chandler went to a male strip joint because he really liked the sandwiches," he said. "I called up and I said, 'Let’s not do this one.'" The writers agreed to cut the plot line from the show, which is too bad because tbh that sounds hilarious (why don't you like sandwiches, Matthew Perry????).

You can watch the whole segment here:

Cohen also asked Perry if any of the main six cast mates ever slept together off-screen (there have been some salacious rumors). But the actor said he thinks there was "no sex between any of them." MMMMmmmmmmkay, Matthew Perry. Mmmkay.

It's wedding day, fam! Kate Middleton's sister Pippa Middleton got married to her fiancé James Matthews on Saturday. Photos from the ceremony have begun to surface, and we don't know about you, but the only thing we can focus on is how beautiful Pippa's dress is.

Look at this! It's every Pinterest wedding board's dream!

According to E! News, Middleton's dress was designed by Giles Deacon. Pippa is also wearing a veil by Stephen Jones, a tiara by Maidenhair Fern, and Manolo Blahnik ivory satin shoes.

Middleton and Matthews got married in an intimate ceremony at St. Mark's Church in Englefield, England, E! News reports. They were set to celebrate with a champagne toast afterwards, followed by a reception with 300 guests at Middleton's family home.

Congrats to Pippa and James!

This model says she was fired from a Louis Vuitton show for being 'too big.'

The fashion industry has made a lot of strides in the body positivity department in recent years, but according to one model, it seems it still has a way to go.

This is Danish model Ulrikke Louise Lahn Høyer.

Last show in NY @marchesafashion @sb_cast @hotchowchow ✨ #marchesa#show#nyfw#aw17#offtolondon#excited#flymode

A post shared by Ulrikke Hoyer (@ulrikkehoyer) on

The 20-year-old model recently went viral with a Facebook post she wrote after she was allegedly fired from a Louis Vuitton show in Kyoto, Japan for being "too big." She's a size 6.

When I tell people I work as a model, I always get a very positive responds as people have this idea that modeling is so...

Posted by Ulrikke Louise Lahn Høyer on Thursday, May 18, 2017

In the post, Høyer said she was initially flown to Paris to try on outfits and audition for the show. Louis Vuitton allegedly confirmed her to model their Cruise collection in Kyoto before she even left the fitting. "I was excited to go to Japan and happy to know that even though I wasn't in my skinniest 'show shape,' Louis Vuitton would still have me in their show," she wrote in her Facebook post.

A couple weeks after her initial fitting in Paris, Høyer arrived in Japan. The next day, she had an additional fitting. She said that everything seemed to be totally normal.

Thursday at 3:30pm I had my fitting. That day I ate a very small breakfast and had just water and tea before the fitting, because that’s how we do it… I tried my dress and the coat which I was confirmed fitted in Paris. I changed shoes and trousers a couple of times, (also very normal procedure as they want to find the best look). Afterwards I tried on a puffy dress with a semi bare back and then I was done.

That night, though, things took a turn for the worse. It all started when Høyer got a call from her French agent, relaying a message from the show's casting agent.

Later that night my French agent called me and told me that [the show’s casting agent] had said that there had been some problems during the fitting,” Høyer wrote. “According to her, I had ‘a very bloated stomach,’ ‘bloated face,’ and urged me to starve myself with this statement: ‘Ulrikke needs to drink only water for the next 24 hours.’ I was shocked when I heard it.

I just returned from Tokyo/Japan, where Louis Vuitton held a beautiful cruise show in Kyoto, I just never made it to Kyoto cause I was canceled for the show due to being ‘too big’. (I’m a size 34-36) Ashley Brokaw’s caster Alexia had said that there had been some problems during the fitting. According to her I had “a very bloated stomach”, “bloated face”, and urged me to starve myself with this statement “Ulrikke needs to drink only water for the next 24 hours”. I was shocked when I heard it. I woke up at 2am and was extremely hungry. The breakfast started at 6:30am – I had the absolute minimum. I was afraid to meet Alexia so my luck she didn’t arrive until 8am, when my plate was taken off the table. She said good morning to me and the other girls and looked at me, then down on my non-existent plate and up at me again. She was checking if I had been eating food. At 7pm my mother agent from Denmark called my to tell the sad news that Louis Vuitton had chosen to cancel me from the show without the refitting and that I was going to be sent back home. Not only did I have a belly, my face was puffy now also my back was a problem. I am glad I’m 20 years old with an elite sports background and not a 15 year old girl, who are new to this and unsure about herself, because I have no doubt that I would then have ended up very sick and scarred long into my adult life. A post shared by Ulrikke Hoyer (@ulrikkehoyer) on

Høyer said she skipped out on the dinner and karaoke that Louis Vuitton had planned for the models that night because she didn't feel comfortable eating in front of the casting agent. The next morning at breakfast, the model says she ate "the absolute minimum." The casting agent arrived after Høyer's plate had already been cleared.

"She said good morning to me and the other girls and then looked at me, then down on my non-existent plate and up at me again," Høyer recalled on Facebook. "She was checking if I had been eating food."

Later that day, Høyer said she found out that Louis Vuitton had dropped her from the show and that she would be sent home. She said the fashion brand contacted her primary agent in Denmark, and said the decision was made because Høyer was "too bloated."

Høyer says she decided to share her story on Facebook not because she was upset about being canceled from a show, but rather because of the way she was treated.

“Such lack of respect and decency have let me decide that I will never work under such conditions again,” she writes. “I cannot accept the ‘normality’ in the behavior of people like this. They find pleasure in power over young girls and will go to the extreme to force an eating disorder on you."

"I have worked/and work with so many wonderful people as well and have great experiences, so a big up to all of you amazing clients with human hearts," the model concluded.

Honestly, Høyer is probably better off not modeling that show. No one should ever have to work somewhere where one of the job requirements is "no snacks."

Katy Perry responds to rumors that her new song is a Taylor Swift diss track.

When Katy Perry released her new single "Swish Swish" on Friday, the internet immediately spiraled into madness over rumors that its lyrics were about her beef with Taylor Swift.

Perry stopped by The Tonight Show on Friday night, and even Jimmy Fallon wanted to know if the rumors were true. He asked Perry if the new single had anything to do with "someone we know."

After pausing a moment, Perry responded, "I think it's a great anthem for people to use whenever someone's trying to hold you down or bully you." Perry also said that to her, "Swish Swish" is about "the liberation from all the negative that doesn't serve you."

Hmm... so Katy Perry won't say the song is definitely about Taylor Swift, but it's not *not* about Taylor Swift.

The feud continues.

Trump curtsied to the Saudi king for a gold medal and you can't honestly say you're surprised.

Back in 2012, Donald Trump thought the U.S. president shouldn't bow to the leaders of Saudi Arabia.

He also said, as recently as the 2016 campaign, that the Middle East country wants to enslave women and kill gay people.

Saudi Arabia and many of the countries that gave vast amounts of money to the Clinton Foundation want women as slaves and to kill gays. Hillary must return all money from such countries!

Posted by Donald J. Trump on Monday, June 13, 2016

Given his apparent disgust for the Saudis, who could have guessed that Trump would start off his first big foreign trip as president by bowing to its king? Wait, I'm sorry—I meant to say he curtsied.

Yeah, guess all Trump's principles fly out the window as soon as you flash a little gold at him. But we knew that.

But seriously, that curtsy is something else.

Even his own long-serving advisor (and Babadook) was pissed.

But the best part? All the conservative websites reporting that unlike Obama, Trump did not bow. Yeah, because he curtsied.

Anyway, congrats to Trump on his shiny new participation medal. Keep up the good work, buddy.

This café is serving lattes in avocados because it's 2017 and nothing matters anymore.

Food crazes come and go, but if the avocado latte from Melbourne, Australia's Truman Café catches on, it's definitely the end of the world.

Look at this caucasian nonsense:

Combing two of Melbourne's obsessions - lattes and avo 😂

A post shared by Truman Cafe (@trumancafealbertpark) on

Right now, you're trying to convince yourself that this isn't what it looks like. That no one could possibly want a latte served in a hollowed-out avocado—an increasingly expensive food that is apparently injuring lots of millennials. Sorry, but the avolatte is totally real, and now you know about it.

Of course, that doesn't mean you have to be happy about it.

In fairness, the avolatte was probably just a joke designed to go viral—but now that it has, it's only a matter of time before Starbucks has them. So enjoy your last few weeks of mostly avolatte-free life, because there's no going back now.

A Fox News anchor is demanding that Republicans apologize to Hillary Clinton. No, we're not kidding.

So many crazy things have happened in American politics over the last few months that almost nothing can surprise us anymore. Well, nothing except this. Juan Williams, a co-host on the Fox News show, The Five, has authored an op-ed demanding that Republicans apologize to Fox News' least favorite person, Hillary Clinton.

No, this isn't prank. A Fox News anchor actually wants Republicans to say they're sorry to Hillary Clinton.

"When will Republicans drop the partisan games and apologize to Hillary Clinton?" Williams wrote in his piece, published by The Hill.

Granted, Williams is one of Fox News' more left-leaning correspondents, so that may be why he's on Hill's side here.

Williams noted how Republicans mocked Clinton for saying, "If the election had been on October 27, I would be your president," at a forum in New York City earlier this month. (She was referring to former FBI director James Comey re-opening the investigation into her emails during the final days of the 2016 presidential race, which certainly didn't help her campaign.)

Williams wrote that after Clinton made those comments, Republicans that insisted that she should just accept defeat and take responsibility for a poor campaign, Clinton (sort of) got some support from President Trump last week when he fired Comey with the reasoning that he violated policy when he cleared Clinton of a crime and then condemned her as a "careless" public official on TV. Of course, Comey's firing conveniently came at a time when he was investigating the president's ties to Russia.

Now that Trump's firing of Comey has spiraled into a full-on scandal, Williams argued in his op-ed that Republicans need to distance themselves from the "fire" in the White House. If they don't, they risk being fired by voters in the 2018 mid-term elections.

The first thing Williams thinks they need to do? Apologize to Hillary Clinton. You can read his full op-ed over on The Hill.

Anderson Cooper apologizes for 'crude' remark on his show, but he only said what we're all thinking.

Four months into the disastrous presidency of Donald J. Trump, every American with an ounce of common sense is wondering the same thing: What will it take for the last few people who support this demagogue to turn on him?

After a long week of crazy White House news, this question was clearly on Anderson Cooper's mind as well. The CNN anchor was talking with Jeffrey Lord, a political commentator the cable news channel pays to be a pro-Trump voice on various shows, and Lord was—of course—defending Trump's impulsive decision to divulge classified intelligence to Russian diplomats. A clearly exasperated Cooper had to interrupt: "If he took a dump on his desk, you'd defend it," he said.

Sadly, Cooper went on to (unnecessarily) apologize—both on the air and in a follow-up tweet. C'mon, Anderson! Stick to your principles!

Besides, this is a distraction from the real problem: That CNN and other channels are enabling people like Jeffrey Lord to defend Trump's behavior.

Anyway, hang in there, Coop. This crap is far from over.

Alec Baldwin's 3-year-old daughter has an even better Trump impression than her dad.

When it comes to passing on knowledge, each parent is unique in the life skills and wisdom they give their children. Alec Baldwin, for example, is giving his 3-year-old daughter Carmen a killer Donald Trump impression.

Baldwin's wife Hilaria Thomas posted a video to Instagram on Saturday, showing the actor, who plays Trump on Saturday Night Live, teaching little Carmen how to impersonate the president.

It's Saturday! Season finale of @nbcsnl ...sound up 🙈

A post shared by Hilaria Thomas Baldwin (@hilariabaldwin) on

"Carmen, what day does Daddy play Donald Trump?" Hilaria can be heard asking in the video.

"Saturday," Carmen replies.

"And we go like this with our hands," Alec says, raising his hands up.

"And we say, 'Saturday!'" he continues, waving his hands. "Saturday! Saturday! Okay everybody, it's Saturday!" Then the actor laughs and gives his daughter a hug.

Even if it's not technically the best Trump impression out there, Carmen's impression is without a doubt the cutest. Maybe we'll see her on the season finale of SNL on May 20.

Julian Assange debuted his new haircut and people are roasting it without mercy.

With the news that Sweden had dropped its long-running investigation into an allegation of rape against Julian Assange, the WikiLeaks founder is publicly vowing to continue leaking CIA documents and defeat any U.S. legal threats. Unfortunately, making public vows involves being seen in public, with the result that his new haircut is on display for the entire world to see.

Let's just say that people... weren't fans.

Brutal. But the roast was far from over.

You know, Julian, at your age, I just might cut it short. But it's your call.

Little girl is totally fed up with Snow White's nonsense. Her icy looks are everything.

Everyone has a Disney princess they strongly identify with, as well as one or two they don't really care for. That's fine! There are plenty of princesses at Disney theme parks; hug whichever one you want. But a problem arises when one of your non-favorites tries to engage—how do you get rid of them?

In a delightful video making the rounds on Twitter, one girl found she couldn't shake a Snow White who had interrupted her lunch. Silent and unwilling to smile for a photo, she waits impatiently for the princess to take the hint and leave.

Those looks are withering. She could turn you to ice with a simple glance.

You beat the Evil Queen, Snow White, but you're no match for this kid.

The Trump administration mourns their tough news week in a musical 'SNL' opener.

The White House has been under a lot of scrutiny for the last couple weeks, as suspicions that President Donald Trump and his associates colluded with Russia have been mounting on the daily. Saturday Night Live got the whole administration together to take a moment to reflect on their recent troubles in the musical cold open of its Season 42 finale on Saturday night.

Alec Baldwin's Donald Trump sat at the piano while Mike Pence (Beck Bennet), Kellyanne Conway (Kate McKinnon), Eric Trump (Alex Moffat), Donald Trump Jr. (Mikey Day), Sarah Huckabee Sanders (Aidy Bryant), Melania Trump (Cecily Strong), Ivanka Trump (Scarlett Johansson), and Steve Bannon (the grim reaper) gathered around him to sing "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen.

Of course, at the end of the song, Trump insists that he did nothing wrong. "But I can't speak for these people," he says.

A fitting way to start Alec Baldwin's last show as Donald Trump, if you ask us.

Dwayne Johnson and Tom Hanks become 'running mates' for the 2020 election during 'SNL' monologue.

0

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson hosted Saturday Night Live for the fifth time on May 20. A host's fifth SNL monologue is typically a pretty star-studded affair, with other Five-Timers showing up to welcome the new member.

Dwayne Johnson's was especially important. Not only did Alec Baldwin and Tom Hanks show up, but Johnson asked Tom Hanks to be his running mate in the 2020 election. (Rumors have been popping up around the interwebs recently that "The Rock" is considering a run.)

Johnson and Hanks seem to be joking about the run for office, but it still makes for a pretty fun monologue.

Actually, you know what? We can't totally tell if they're kidding or not. What do you think, guys? Johnson/Hanks 2020?

More than 100 Notre Dame graduates walk out during Mike Pence's commencement speech.

While President Trump is busy curtsying to Saudi royalty, Vice President Pence is stuck here in the U.S. trying to give advice to this year's crop of college grads. Which might be easier if they didn't already know what divisive and hateful ideas he stands for.

On Sunday, Pence was in his home state of Indiana to deliver the commencement speech at the University of Notre Dame, an 85% Catholic school. In the days leading up to this appearance, a student coalition calling itself We Stand for ND called on students to reject Pence's views on LGBT and women's rights, immigration, and criminal justice by simply getting up and leaving the ceremony when he took the podium.

"The participation and degree-conferring of VP Pence stand as an endorsement of policies and actions which directly contradict Catholic social teachings and values and target vulnerable members of the University's community," Xitlaly Estrada explained in a press release shared on social media.

The effect was striking: As Pence greeted the massive audience, more than a hundred graduates silently filed out. Some family members exited as well. With police well aware of the protest beforehand, and the students instructed to depart respectfully, there were no reported incidents.

According to the South Bend Tribune, Pence "spoke against 'safe spaces' and 'tone policing' at colleges across America, saying free speech was under attack on campuses." Which sounds like a really boring episode of South Park. Good thing those kids used their First Amendment right to get the hell out of there.

David S. Pumpkins makes his triumphant return to 'SNL' and we have several questions.

0
0

Back in October, Saturday Night Live introduced us to David S. Pumpkins, a man in a pumpkin print suit who dances at haunted elevator guests. David S. Pumpkins, played by the legendary Tom Hanks, quickly became one of the most beloved SNL characters of the last few years. Imagine how delighted we were last night when David S. Pumpkins made his triumphant return.

On last night's season finale, SNL aired a sketch called "Rap Song," a parody of hip-hop collaborations that have way too many artists on the track.

This particular "Rap Song" featured the likes of 2 Black Guyz (Michael Che and Colin Jost), Pregnasty (Kate McKinnon), and musical guest Katy Perry. Well, it was actually Katy Perry plus Kathleen Bell (played by Aidy Bryant).

Tom Hanks was in the SNL studio Saturday night to announce his plans to join The Rock's presidential ticket in 2020, so SNL viewers got quite the delightful surprise when none other than David S. Pumpkins, showed up at the end of "Rap Song." He did change his name to David S. Pimpkins for the occasion, though.

Any questions?

Witness the terrifying moment this giant sea lion snatches a little girl off a pier.

Sea lions, like so many of nature's most fascinating animals, are both adorable and dangerous. And nobody knows that better than a girl who was almost dragged to the watery deep by one.

In startling footage by Michael Fujiwara, we see a few people milling around Steveston Fisherman's Wharf, in Richmond, British Columbia, checking out a sea lion swimming just off the pier. At one point it leaps out of the water as if to see if a girl at the edge is holding any food. Then, when she sits down with her back to the water—at the 1:38 mark—it decides to pull her in.

A heart-stopping scare, to be sure, but thankfully, everyone walked away uninjured—so we may now use the incident as a meme without guilt.

Kind of makes you appreciate the glass walls at the aquarium, right?

Mom goes viral with photo celebrating her major weight loss, loose skin and all.

Texas mom of two Jordan Kirkham was overjoyed recently when her husband Daniel was able to pick her up in the pool.

According to TODAY, Kirkham has been on a weight loss journey since January 2015. Since that time, she's lost about 140 pounds, down from over 300. This was the first time her husband was able to lift her up.

"I haven’t been picked up since I was a kid, so when he did that with no hesitation, no struggle, just picking me up, I almost cried," Kirkham told TODAY. "I felt light as air. I was over the moon I was so happy."

That's why she decided to document the occasion. Though she was a little self-conscious about her excess skin (which is normal when one has lost over 100 pounds), Kirkham decided to post the photo to Instagram. It quickly went viral.

"The excess skin is real, but that's what you get when you've lost 130lbs," Kirkham captioned the photo. "Anyways, this post isn't about my skin, it's about the fact that my husband can pick me up! Hot damn."

(She also made sure to clarify that the child behind her and her husband in the photo is fine, and not drowning, as some of her Instagram followers had feared.)

Kirkham, who is a mom to two sons age 3 and 11 months, said that her husband whispered to her, "Look, I can pick my wife up," and pretended he was carrying her over the threshold. She wanted to share the moment on her popular Instagram account as part of her weight loss journey.

"That's a pretty non-scale victory so I wanted to post it," Kirkham told TODAY. "I was hesitant because of the loose skin, but that wasn't the point. The point was my husband picked me up."

Kirkham told TODAY she thinks the loose skin in the photo may be the reason it's been liked almost 50,000 times.

"It was so raw and so real," she said. "I didn’t tuck it or hide it. This is real life."

Kirkham says she hopes her viral photo will encourage others who might be afraid to lose weight because they don't want to be left with excess skin.

"I’d rather hold onto this 15 to 20 pounds of extra skin rather than having hundreds of extra pounds of fat on my body," she told TODAY. "It’s OK to have flaws. Mine right now is my loose skin."

Yes, girl! Keep on being awesome.

Proud dad posts shirtless selfie with son that's so heartwarming it just might break Instagram.

Most of the time we take selfies, they're about ourselves—hence the name. Maybe we're showing off a cute outfit, revealing where we're on vacation, or just want some followers to fave our faces.

This one is a little different. Yes, there are abs, but that's not why this dad and his son, Chace Elijah Selby, have their shirts off. Here's what Chace's father Robert wrote about the photo, submitted to the inspirational Instagram account @miraclesandmesses:

"My son is sucking in his stomach, trying to show off his abs like his daddy but all you see are his little ribs😦😁💪 I just cut and glued one of his G-tube on me to show support for him. He has a congenital heart defect and he uses a feeding tube. But as long as I'm breathing he'll never be in a fight alone✊"

Messages of love and support poured in for this dynamic duo, and it seems Chace couldn't ask for a better dad. For more on their story, you can also check out @thelifeofchaceelijah on Instagram, as well as their YouTube account. It's all just as cute as the photo above.

One thing's for sure—this kid has a great life ahead of him.

Reese Witherspoon went back to her old dorm room and found a college student living there.

You know when you're just chilling in your dorm room and world-famous actress Reese Witherspoon shows up? A student at Stanford University named Caitlyn does.

Witherspoon was back at her alma mater (which is in fact Stanford and not Harvard Law as Legally Blonde would have us believe) as a guest speaker recently, and took a moment to stop by the dorm room she once called home. Once she got there, she found the room's current tenant, Caitlyn, and stopped to take a photo with her.

"Surprise!" Witherspoon wrote on Instagram. "While re-visiting Stanford, I popped by my old dorm room... and met its newest tenant, Caitlyn! She was so nice; she even welcomed me in!"

Well of course she welcomed you in, Reese! That's what you do when a celebrity shows up at your dorm room. We hope you at least taught her the Bend & Snap.

Trump touching a creepy glowing orb with Egyptian and Saudi leaders is all you could want in a meme.

0
0

President Donald Trump's first foreign trip continued today with the opening of the Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This time, Trump wasn't curtsying to King Salman, but the pair did take a moment—along with Egyptian president Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, to touch a strange centerpiece in the space: a glowing orb in the shape of planet Earth.

Well, yes—but doesn't it also remind you of something from a movie or TV?

Other people saw something a little different in the orb.

But mainly, we all just wanted to know what the hell it was (and what it means).

At the end of the day, though, definitely nothing to worry about.

All hail the orb.
