Adam Driver brought his Kylo Ren intensity to the role of 'Porn Doctor' on 'SNL.'

Whether he's fighting for the galaxy in Star Warsor fighting with Lena Dunham on Girls, Adam Driver brings a signature intensity to his roles, and SNL is no different. Driver combined his Star Wars fierceness and Girls sexiness to play a doctor in a pornoready to soothe all ills with his special concoction. That is, until Aidy Bryant keeps bursting in, thinking he's a real medical professional.

The doctor will see you now:

Aladdin and Jasmine ride a carpet through a whole new, way-too-realistic world on 'SNL.'

SNL jumped on the Internet's love of realistic Disney princesses by taking Jasmine and Aladdin on a modern magic carpet ride. Aladdin's romantic tour might have taken the pair over Syria and under an airplane's septic tank, but the greatest surprise of all is Adam Driver's impressive singing chops, which will serve him well in an inevitableStar Wars musical.

'SNL' shows what really happens when Mommy & Daddy win Golden Globes (w/Liev Schreiber).

If you've watched an awards show, you've seen a speech where winners tell their kids they love them and not to wait up—it sounds so sweet, but Adam Driver and Vanessa Bayer on SNL show what those parents are really up to while their nervous kids (Kyle Mooney and Kate McKinnon) wait for them to come home. What follows is a cautionary tale about winning a Golden Globe. In short, they go crazy and try to party like real famous people—and they probably get too involved with Liev Schrieber.

Be glad you have mediocre parents, kids. Otherwise they'd be banging the guy who played Sabretooth (among many other distinguished roles).

'The X-Files have been reopened' by Scully & Mulder in the first full-length look at the new season.

As a certain other website might say, "only 90s kids will get" all the references in the first full-length trailer for the new X-Files season on FOX, but even if you have never seen the source material, this show looks pretty good. Fox Mulder and Dana Scully have been dragged back into the hunt for the truth—a truth that isn't as out there as it used to be, and is indeed coming home to roost. A crashing UFO and clear panic in the nation's capital indicates this 6-part miniseries won't be beating around the bush—and an unseen villain in a black suit (part of The Syndicate?) isn't happy about it.

'SNL' & Fred Armisen pay tribute to the time David Bowie 'transformed live television' forever.

Portlandia star Fred Armisen may have left SNL, but he returned last night to the show (hosted by Adam Driver) to talk about the profound effect watching David Bowie on the show had on him as a child. Seeing as Armisen certainly turned out a little odd, it's believable. The performance of 'The Man Who Sold The World' was influential for more than just Fred, however—it also helped launch the career of Klaus Nomi (the backup singer in black), the wonderfully bizarre pop opera singer who sadly became one of the first AIDS deaths in the country, before the disease was even named. Bowie's iconic suit in the performance was directly based on Nomi's style, which has also influenced Lady Gaga and others. Here's Armisen introducing an abridged version of the 1979 performance, with the full video below:

Here's the original clip of Bowie's performance from 1979, complete with introduction by a young Martin Sheen:

If you recognize the song but didn't know it was performed by Bowie, that's because it was performed in Nirvana's famous MTV Unplugged concert:

For better or worse, that's all the clips currently available of beloved performers who have left us singing this song. Well, there are probably more but you've suffered enough.

HBO releases a 7-hour, chronological version of 'The Godfather' Parts I & II in HD today.

If you're not watching the Democratic Debate tonight and have HBO or HBO GO, you could do far worse than checking outThe Godfather Epic—a re-mastered, uncensored, 7-hour-long chronological edit of the first two Godfather films, complete with deleted scenes that didn't make it into either theatrical cut. The Godfather Epic was designed to tell the story from young Don Corleone's humble immigrant beginnings as Robert De Niro to his apex as Marlon Brando and following his son Vito Corleone (Al Pacino) on his fall from grace and rise to power. It will be airing at 5pm EST on HBO and will be available at that time on HBO GO. A similar version originally aired on NBC in 1977 and was released on VHS in 1981—and although that version was broadcast-friendly, this new one is HBO-friendly (aka NSFW) and remastered in high definition. Here's a trailer from a movie theater that recently showed the 1981 VHS version:

Adam Driver & 'SNL' show why the French should never be allowed to narrate cat videos.

Following his success as Kylo Ren in The Force AwakensAdam Driver had a very well-received hosting stint on SNL last night, but maybe the weirdest sketch of the night was America's Funniest Cats, which, ironically gets destroyed by two Frenchwomen with such zingers as making a cat say, "Ah, oui, boi-oi-oing, I want to be witz my huzband in hell, where all ze suicides go." Actually, a lot of people would probably watch cat videos with dark, existential French narration. It would be like Ze Frank's Sad Cat Diary, without all the making sense.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AH4yRRTgcE8

As a side note, Cecily Strong speaks fluent French. Kate McKinnon, on the other hand, is great at making vague sounds. Oh yeah, Finn Reynal-Beads is the best subtle Star Wars joke in the show.

SNL's Republican debate cold open was even more brutal than the GOP show itself.

If you missed this week's GOP debate on Fox Business News, this cold open from last night's SNL is a pretty good way to catch up on the birther and "New York values" battles between Cruz and Trump, Christie's vows to prosecute everyone for everything, and poor Jeb Bush's attempts to stand up to his bully. Even if you're not one of Donald Trump's ever-growing legions, you might root for him to stay in the race for the joy of seeing master impressionist Darrell Hammond return to Studio 8H to bring the Donald to bombastic life:

That ending does really make you miss Showtime at the Apollo (if you're someone who agrees with Ted Cruz about "New York values" Showtime at the Apollo was the show that used to come on after SNL that you probably turned off really quickly).

Bernie Sanders running for a train is probably more entertaining than the #DemDebate.

The Democratic Debate is about to begin tonight at 9pm EST on NBC, but for some reason the thing captivating the Internet tonight is a video of Senator Bernie Sanders running to catch a train. Whether it's because it creates an opportunity for puns about "running "for election (none of which are in this article. Rest assured, you're not missing much), or simply because it's amusing to see a Senator sprinting for mass transit, this video from November has picked up speed today like a septuagenarian legislator who just realized he's about to miss the Amtrak Vermonter.* Two things are for certain: 1) the man is remarkably spry for his age, and 2) he probably felt the Bern.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZP_J6gmJYiU

*Editor's note: I don't know what train he's running for. That's just the name of a train that goes to Vermont (where Sanders is from) that I've always wanted to ride.

The 33 funniest reactions by comedians to the last #DemDebate before the Iowa Caucus.

It's Sunday night, the NFL playoffs are in full swing, and you know what that means: Time for the first Democratic primary debate of 2016!

Bernie Sanders denounced big banks and championed single-payer healthcare in a furious monotone. Hillary attempted to be authoritative, feisty and likable simultaneously, namedropping Obama and championing his policies. Meanwhile, Martin O'Malley scrambled to avoid fading out of existence Back To The Future-style, plugging his website and at one point plaintively soliciting donations. Twitter had plenty to say about everything, include the goofy animations and livestreamed music. Here are the top 33 reactions from Twitter comedians and commentators!

'Girl Meets World' star Rowan Blanchard comes out as queer, open to meeting the whole world.

$

At 14, Girl Meets World star Rowan Blanchard is already curating her Twitter and Instagram feed, writing articles for magazines, and preaching about feminism. Today's new young stars have to be so freakishly self-possessed! She's also expected to speak to her sexuality in a public way at the time most people are figuring out where their butt is (it's a totally normal phase, relax). On Saturday, she tweeted this to her 300,000 followers:

https://twitter.com/rowblanchard/status/688462817310081028

There were some follow-up questions, like what, and how, and who. Basically, it seems like Blanchard is open to anything even though her heart has mostly only ever yet quickened for male-identified people:

https://twitter.com/rowblanchard/status/688510489962254337?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw

If this seems brave, keep in mind that in December, Blanchard actually spoke out against "squads" in an interview with Just Jared Jr., saying:

Of course female friendship is a beautiful thing. It’s insanely powerful...Sisterhood is something so valid and important when you are growing up that I literally think the essence of it should be taught in schools. But the 'squads' we see in the media are very polarizing. Feminism and friendship are supposed to be inclusive, and most of these 'squads' are strictly exclusive.

It makes feminism look very one dimensional. Feminism is so multi-layered and complex that it can be frustrating when the media and the celebrities involved in it make feminism and 'squads' feel like this very happy, exclusive, perfect thing...There’s so much more than that. 'Squad goals' can polarize anyone who is not white, thin, tall, and always happy.

If she's ready to take on Taylor Swift, saying she's queer is probably no big deal for her.
