Taylor Swift surprises 96-year-old veteran with the performance of a lifetime.

Cyrus Porter, 96-year-old WWII veteran and oldest Taylor Swift fan, got the surprise of a lifetime when Taylor Swift herself showed up at his house in New Madrid, Missouri on December 26.

Swift played her hit song "Shake It Off" for Porter and his family, as well as taking time to meet his relatives, hold a baby or two, and check out his WWII memorabilia.

Cyrus Porter's grandson, Robert Frye, tweeted pictures and video of Taylor Swift's visit.

A family member named Caroline Fowler told E! News,

My Popo was ecstatic! He was grinning from ear to ear and even had tears in his eyes. The first thing he said to her was "How did you get here?" He loved every moment. He told her how he was proud of his family, his country and Taylor Swift!

Previously, in an interview with local TV station KFVS, Porter talked about his admiration for Taylor Swift, saying, "I've been to two concerts. Memphis and St Louis. Look what she does...she puts on a show no one else puts on...I just liked the way she did stuff."

Now he can add a third concert: his living room. Not too shabby!

Daughter asks for pride flag for Christmas, her dad does her one better.

Dakotah Whitcomb, a 20-year-old college student from Ohio, put a pride flag on her Christmas list. But she "just assumed I probably wasn't going to get one because it was so last minute," she told BuzzFeed News.

Don't underestimate the power of Santa (spoiler: a loving parent).

Her father delivered the flag, accompanied by a note that has a very real chance of making you get all teary eyed/regret that the most touching thing on your Christmas list was a Hatchimal.

Merry Christmas Dakotah,

When I saw that a Gay Pride flag was on your list, at first I thought it was an odd request. But after thinking about, I think I know why.

I reckon that you feel that everyone else in the family, except grandma, has a flag that represents something we were/are a part of. I have the Marine Corps, grandpa & mom have the Navy, and Darr has the Army. So it makes sense that you would want a flag to represent something you are a part of.

I present you with this flag, to display how you would like. In the spring, when I hang the flags up, I would be proud to hang yours up.

Love you,
Dad

"Military has always been part of my family and I can't join because of medical issues," Whitcomb elaborated.

"So the fact that my dad would fly my pride flag next to everyone's military flag just made me feel even more loved and included!"

Church accidentally prints Tupac lyrics instead of 'Hail Mary' prayer.

In a tweet that has now racked up 18,000 retweets and 22,000 likes, a Sri Lankan man reveals that instead of the actual Hail Mary prayer, a church in Sri Lanka accidentally printed the lyrics of deceased rapper Tupac's "Hail Mary" in the booklet for a Christmas Carol service.

Okay, looks good, everything's in order.
Hmmm…something's not…right…here.

This has to be one of the funniest mix-ups involving Christmas and Tupac in history, and people on Twitter had a field day making jokes.

A priest from the archdiocese named Father Da Silva told CNN that they asked for the booklets back after realizing their mistake. He explained that the person in charge of printing up the booklets was a "young boy" who'd downloaded lyrics to the wrong version of the song. Maybe so, but for so many people, it was truly the highlight of Christmas.
