Uber's CEO has quit Trump's advisory board after the #DeleteUber backlash.

Uber CEO Travis Kalanick has decided to step down from his position on Trump's economic advisory board, according to emails sent to his employees that were obtained by The New York Times. This news comes less than a week after #DeleteUber was trending around the country, as a result of Uber continuing to pick up passengers during the taxi strike at JFK airport, which was done in solidarity with the Muslim ban protests. Many past Uber users saw this as the final straw, and began posting screenshots on social media of the messages they were sending to the car service company when asked why they were deleting the app.

That same day, Kalanick was also criticized for his mealy-mouthed response to the Muslim ban, as well as his involvement and defense of the fact that he was a member of Trump's advisory board:

"I understand that many people internally and externally may not agree with that decision, and that’s OK. It’s the magic of living in America that people are free to disagree."

But in today's email, Kalanick made clear that he had plans to part ways with Trump completely:

Earlier today I spoke briefly with the president about the immigration executive order and its issues for our community. I also let him know that I would not be able to participate on his economic council. Joining the group was not meant to be an endorsement of the president or his agenda but unfortunately it has been misinterpreted to be exactly that.

So, #DeleteUber worked. Great job, everybody, and make sure to appreciate this win. This means that enough people responded negatively to Kalanick's ties to Trump (by deleting the app, or negatively covering him in the press) that it caused him to feel that the company was in jeopardy. The victory demonstrates that the general public has enough sway to make those working in the private sector think twice about cozying up to Trump, and hopefully sends a warning sign out to future companies with ties to the White House.

Someone made a 'Thank You Obama' clothing line to help remind you of the good old days.

It's hard to not want to bury your head under a pillow for the next four years, and we're not even two weeks into the Trump presidency. But thankfully designer JoeFreshGoods of Chicago made a "Thank You Obama" clothing line that will help us remember simpler times. And he got none other than Chance The Rapper, a fellow Chicagoan and friend and fan of Obama's, to model the line.

The collection includes a "MALIA" t-shirt that I suggest you hover over, because the fine print takes the shirt from great to incredible, as well as an Obama jersey, a Barack and Michelle wedding t-shirt, and more. JoeFreshGoods shared his inspiration for the line on his website. It's sweet, relatable and a reminder that we can continue to put good things out into the world, despite the feelings of dread.

with this project i wanted to timestamp a period in my life where i felt like i can do whatever i wanted to do and be whatever i wanted to be. The night obama won his first term gave me so much hope, especially & most importantly as a black man. I decided to make a collection saying "thank you" and give me something to smile at every now and then when i look in the closet.

Grab yourself some goods and give yourself something to smile at when you get dressed to face the bleak, relentless world each morning.

I hope your birthday falling on Throwback Thursday gives you the illusion of being younger.

Beyoncé's dad found out she was pregnant at the same time we did.

On Wednesday, Beyoncé, an expert in breaking the internet, once again served up a master class in how to disseminate info on social media with a pregnancy post. Everyone around the country clung to the news of her forthcoming twins with a white-knuckled ferocity indicative of a good news starved populous. And interestingly, the post was the first time Beyoncé's father, Matthew Knowles, found out about the babies as well.

"I was shocked," the 65-year-old college professor said in an interview with TheInsider. "I got a first text, and I was like, ‘Why is this person saying congratulations?’ Then I get a second text from one of my students at Texas Southern, and I was like, 'What are you talking about?' He was like, 'Go to the web.' I didn’t know myself.”'

Beyoncé and Matthew have not always had the easiest relationship. He was Destiny's Child's manager when the group first launched, and was cited as the reason they broke up in 2002. Later, he managed Beyoncé's solo career, but in 2011 they split ways in a parting the called mutual and strictly professional. But later that year, Matthew and his wife, Tina, divorced with rumors that he had fathered a child with actress Alexsandra White. When he remarried in 2013, neither Beyoncé nor Solange attended. He was featured in several videos for Lemonade, released earlier this year, including clips from her childhood as well as recently. And while she may be nostalgic for the times when they got along, it seems as though the relationship is strained now.

Despite all that, it seems like he's happy for the couple. "I’m extremely, extremely proud and happy," he said. He even noted that it was a slick PR move for her to announce it herself before the media could get to it. "That was very smart that she did it rather than someone else, [like] the media, doing it. So I think that was a really smart move on her part."

Sounds like somebody might be trying to cover up the deep hurt they're feeling inside. On some level, you have to feel for him. It must be strange to find out that your own daughter is pregnant via a photo that has already been liked by 7 million people by the time you see it in your newsfeed. Do you think he double tapped?

The 21 best reactions to Kellyanne Conway completely making up the 'Bowling Green Massacre.'

On Thursday, Kellyanne Conway, a top advisor to Donald Trump, tried to justify the president's travel ban on seven majority-Muslim countries. As Iraq is one of the seven countries, Conway made up something called "the Bowling Green massacre," supposedly orchestrated by two Iraqi refugees.

I bet it’s brand-new information to people that President Obama had a six-month ban on the Iraqi refugee program after two Iraqis came here to this country, were radicalized and were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green massacre. Most people don’t know that because it didn’t get covered.

There is no Bowling Green massacre. It did not happen. It is completely made up. Skip to 2:40 for the quote.

According to the Washington Post, Conway was "likely referring to two Iraqi citizens living in Bowling Green," Kentucky who went to prison after their 2011 arrest for trying to give weapons and money to al-Qaeda in Iraq.

Because this is madness, "Bowling Green Massacre" quickly became the top trending topic on Twitter. Here's what some of the internet had to say on the latest blunder from the queen of alternative facts.

Nordstrom drops Ivanka Trump's clothing line because it's selling so poorly.

A spokesperson for Nordstrom confirmed Thursday that the luxury department store will no longer carry Ivanka Trump's clothing line. This comes after the anti-Trump group Grab Your Wallet organized a boycott of the store several weeks ago, according to the Washington Post. Wow, nice job, activists, it worked!

Nordstrom didn't publicly acknowledge the Ivanka Trump boycott; they said the decision to stop carrying Ivanka Trump-branded clothing and shoes was a result of poor sales. In a statement issued on Thursday, Nordstrom said:

Each year we cut about 10% [of brands] and refresh our assortment with about the same amount. In this case, based on the brand’s performance we’ve decided not to buy it for this season.

But Susan Coulter, who helps run Grab Your Wallet, counts Nordstrom's decision not to carry items from the Ivanka Trump brand as a big victory for her organization. In an email, she wrote:

The cause and effect here is very clear. Over 230,000 Tweets and who knows how many millions of dollars’ worth of missed purchases later, they finally heard us.

Nordstrom does still have four styles of Ivanka Trump shoes on their website, but they are heavily discounted. A representative for Nordstrom told the Washington Post that once they sell through that existing stock, there will be no more Ivanka Trump merchandise for sale at the store.

Adam Lambert and James Corden pay tribute to Queen with an epic 'front man battle.'

Look, no one can replace original Queen front man Freddie Mercury, but Adam Lambert and James Corden are going to give it their best shot.

American Idol alum Adam Lambert has been touring the world as Queen's surrogate front man. But talk show host James Corden told his audience on Thursday that he thought he could best Lambert as the iconic rock band's lead singer. After inadvertently challenging Lambert to a sing-off, the two men went head-to-head and belted out some of Queen's most iconic tunes, including "We Will Rock You," "Don't Stop Me Now" and "Somebody to Love" with original band members Brian May and Roger Taylor.

Although Lambert clearly slaughtered Corden in this battle of the vocal chords, James Corden's latest excuse to sing on television ended the way they all do— with the talk show host and the guest coming together to sing an epic duet. You did Freddie proud, boys.

Watch NFL players read mean tweets about themselves just in time for the Super Bowl.

Jimmy Kimmel put together another edition of Mean Tweets, just in time for the Superbowl. Mean tweets are always funny, even, as in this case, if the targets are sports celebrities, about whom I know nothing. Kimmel's "Mean Tweets - NFL Edition #2" on Thursday night featured NFL players from the two teams playing the Super Bowl, whichever they may be. The Something Somethings versus the Other Place Other Things.

Tony Romo is such a good sport (awww yeah, sports pun). Actually, all the guys were. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that no matter what mean things people might say about them, they still get paid gazillions of dollars to play a game they love. Haha, nailed it, HOME RUN!

Of course this is what Mariah Carey wears to the gym.

Most of us wear a giant t-shirt and sweats to the gym, but not diva extraordinaire Mariah Carey. On Thursday, the Grammy Award-winner shared some pictures and videos of her getting her sweat on with trainer Gunner Peterson wearing stilettos, a bodysuit, jewelry and fishnet stockings. Hey, would you expect anything less from the woman who makes pizza in a silk nightie and takes bubble baths covered in diamonds?

The first video, entitled "running amok," shows Carey sprinting in heels from the FentyXPuma collection, demonstrating the quickest way to sprain your ankle.

Running amok. @gunnarfitness

Next Mimi uploaded a video of her lifting two 20-pound weights, looking seductively into camera. Maybe her fitness secret is wearing clothes so uncomfortable that they motivate you to get through your workout faster?

We must we must ... ;) 😘 @gunnarfitness

The third Instagram is a photo of Mariah Carey peering over her shoulder while climbing a stairmaster-like machine in very high heels, pretending this type of behavior is totally normal. (Which, to be honest, is something she is very good at.)

Climb every mountain 👊🏾😘 @gunnarfitness

J.K. Rowling sends troll to hell for referencing 'the mark of the beast' in Harry Potter.

As J.K. Rowling's refused to stay silent on the same political and humanitarian issues everyone else argues and discusses 24 hours a day, some of her (former) fans have taken to burning her books.

In the latest troll attack on one of the most celebrated authors of our time, a tweeter attacked Rowling for—not witchcraft, not politics—but devil worship! How fun.

Nicolas Flamel, Rowling's fictional alchemist, created the philosopher's stone and gained immortality. At the risk of spoiling the end of the first Harry Potternovel, Flamel eventually gives up the stone and the implication is that he will one day succumb to mortality. He doesn't actually die in the book. Anyway... her fans had her back.

If the new J.K. Rowling book comes out a little later than you might want, you know why.

Nicki Minaj's Los Angeles mansion was robbed and vandalized.

What is it with celebrities getting robbed recently? TMZ reports that thieves broke into Nicki Minaj's Beverly Hills mansion this past weekend and made off with $200,000 worth of jewelry and other property.

In addition to stealing her things, sources told TMZ that Nicki Minaj's house was trashed on the inside, and that the damage looked "personal." They destroyed picture frames, perfume bottles and furniture, and cut up some of Minaj's clothing.

Nicki Minaj was apparently out of town at the time of the burglary, and her team reported it to police over the weekend. The LAPD are currently looking for surveillance video, but as of this time there are no suspects.

A student named Bianca became an accidental homewrecker when she texted her classmate to get some much-needed notes. Unfortunately, her classmate's paranoid girlfriend saw the text first, and immediately went ballistic. But although the conversation started out hostile, by then end these two women were commiserating. So it all worked out—except for the dude. He's in deep s**t.

Bianca's tweets has gone viral with the drama-loving people of Twitter. In less than three days, it's been retweeted more than 4,000 times, and received more than 16,000 favorites. People have been coming forward with messages of support.

Chelsea Clinton calls out Kellyanne Conway's 'alternative' Bowling Green Massacre.

Chelsea Clinton, former First Daughter and would-be First Daughter again according to the popular vote, tweeted out her respect to people effected by attacks both factual and fictional.

In Paris on Friday, February 3rd, a French soldier shot a man who was wielding a machete in front of the Louvre museum. The attacker was hurt, but fortunately nobody else was harmed.

On Thursday, February 2nd, Kellyanne Conway made up something called the Bowling Green Massacre, as an attempt to justify Donald Trump's Muslim ban. Nobody was hurt in the Bowling Green Massacre, because it didn't actually happen.

The dangerous road that this White House is going down with "alternative facts" and made-up massacres can only lead to one place: 1984.

You heard what Chelsea Clinton said: Please don't make up attacks.

Good Samaritan comes to the aid of a squirrel with a cereal bowl stuck on its head.

It's important for we as citizens to look out for all of our neighbors, including rodents. When one man in Omaha, NE saw a squirrel struggling to get a plastic container off its head, he stepped in to help.

In a video posted to Facebook by The Hope Center for Kids in Omaha shows a man trying to get a hold of a squirrel who has a single-serving plastic cereal bowl stuck on his head.

We so believe in our mission of HOPE, even for animals…🐿 Today our staff noticed a squirrel outside The Hope Center for Kids #Omaha with a container stuck on its head. After attempting to remove the box using a broom, our team member Joey Wolfe courageously rescued our new friend! Hey WOWT 6 News, This Made Us Smile.

Posted by The Hope Center for Kids on Tuesday, January 31, 2017

The man, whose name is Joey Wolfe, told Omaha.comhe noticed the squirrel darting into traffic, unable to see, so he attempted to remove the container from its head using a broom.

"I had to do a double take because it looked like it was wearing a little hat," Wolfe told Omaha.com.

"There were a couple of times he jumped out of the way of an oncoming car or truck," Wolfe said. "It would have been really sad to come out later that day to see a squirrel with a cereal bowl on his head, dead in the street. It would have been a tragic thing."

"The last two weeks haven't been the best for a lot of people," Wolfe continued. "Even if this is the smallest thing I can do to make things better, maybe it will brighten up someone else's day a little bit."

Aww! On behalf of the world's citizens (both human and squirrel), we would just like to say, "Thank you, Joey."

Women show Trump all the ways they #DressLikeAWoman at work and it's not just skirts and dresses.

It's no secret that Donald Trump is obsessed with women's looksespecially his daughter's. Now the president expects nothing less but the most tailored and feminine ensembles from his staffers.

Online news outlet Axios reports that Trump allegedly told all the women in his orbit that they need to "dress like women." He wants women in dresses, looking "neat and orderly."

Now women on Twitter are grabbing back, showing how women "dress like women" at work.

Women are doctors.

Women are soldiers.

Women are astronauts.

Women are politicians.

Women are activists.

Women are athletes.

Women are pioneers.

So yeah, this is how you dress like a woman.

Girl doesn't like flowers, so her boyfriend surprises her with a much more savory bouquet.

If there's anything I've learned about love, it's that snacks are the key to anyone's heart. One couple who recently went viral proves my point.

Twitter user Annika Aguinaldo isn't a big fan of getting flowers. Her boyfriend, Rico, understands and acknowledges that about her, so instead of getting flowers, he surprised her with a different kind of bouquet - a bouquet of Chicken McNuggets from McDonald's.

That's some real love right there. Aguinaldo's tweet quickly went viral, even grabbing the attention of the Chicken McNugget king itself, McDonald's.

Guys, I'm telling you. If you want to show your significant other you care, just buy them their favorite variety of fried chicken. (And if you want to get really fancy, craft it into a bouquet.)

The picture of Emma's new locks was uploaded by Nine Zero One co-owner Nikki Lee with the caption "Things got hot today 🔥 ." The orange-red shade is definitely a departure from the fair hair the actress has been rocking for months, but she hasn't always been a blonde. She played around with warmer tones last year as well.

Change is always a good idea 👻 #DesertRose thanks to @nikkilee901 & @riawnacapri ❤️
