Katy Perry looks like a totally different person with her dramatic post-breakup haircut.

When you're going through a major change in your life, it's common to feel like you need a major change in appearance. That's probably why Katy Perry got a dramatic new haircut just a couple days after her split from Orlando Bloom.

Perry posted two videos to Instagram showing off her brand new blonde pixie cut.

I WASNT READY TILL NOW

A post shared by KATY PERRY (@katyperry) on

Very chic. Very edgy. Very Miley Cyrus circa 2013.

In one of the videos, Katy Perry's stylist tells her he's wanted to give her that haircut since the day he met her. Perry says she "wasn't ready" until now. Well, now is the time for you to do you, Katy.

While Perry's new haircut may or may not have been a response to her breakup with Orlando Bloom, there are hints that the two ended their relationship pretty amicably. On Thursday, Katy Perry posted a tweet about staying friends with former partners.

Well, at least Katy Perry seems to be taking 2017 by storm. Let us all stare at her in envy of her ability to rock a pixie cut.

This pregnant woman found some extra protein in her French fries. And it had four legs and a tail.

Disgusting if true—a pregnant woman found a fried lizard in with her French fries at a McDonald's in Kolkata, India. Yeesh, I've heard of pregnancy cravings but this is too much.*

Actually, this was more of the opposite of a pregnancy craving, and according to Mashable, the sight of the dead lizard made the pregnant woman sick (which is believable, because ew). She reportedly called the manager to complain, but was pissed off at the generally unconcerned response she got. So she took a picture of the food and filed a complaint at the local police station.

In an email to Mashable, the official spokes person for McDonald's India (North & East) wrote,

We are taking the situation seriously. Immediately upon being made aware of the complaint, we launched a thorough investigation in an effort to gather the facts of the matter... it is still on-going.

The officials from Food Safety Authority have also fully inspected our restaurant including the kitchen; and have given us the permission to reopen the restaurant. We are fully co-operating with the authorities involved.

It's awful and really gross that this happened, but it's not as if one can't see how it could happen. Bugs end up in food all the time (I mean, hopefully not at the same restaurant, but at restaurants all over the world) simply because that is the nature of the food-service industry.

But the manager should have bent over backwards, then done a full backbend, then maybe a back flip, too, in order to make it up to the lady. He should have been horrified and apologetic. This is where customer service makes a difference. This woman is most likely never eating at a McDonald's again, and she's certainly not going to be a big fan of their French fries.

It's not as if this is the first time there's ever been a story of things in fast food that definitely should not be there. Ooof, maybe just eat at home instead.

(*Tugs at collar Rodney Dangerfield style*).

This 'smart condom' measures your 'performance' and is your worst nightmare.

Are you looking to spice up your sex life? Do you wish for a more tech-savvy way to be judged by your penis? Look no further than the iCon, the world's first "smart condom" that can keep track of every thrust.

A ring you put at the base of the penis, the i.Con is a FitBit for the naughty bits, that will measure a whole bunch of things about your sexy time, including speed, duration of sessions, penis girth, and perhaps worst of all, can compare your performance to that of people all over the world. Eek.

The manufacturer, British Condoms, explains/threatens that the i.Con records:

- Calories burnt during sexual intercourse

- Speed of thrusts

- Total number of thrusts

- Frequency of sessions

- Total duration of sessions

- Average velocity of thrusts

- Girth measurement

- Different positions used (currently BETA testing – will have more info in a release coming soon)

- Average skin temperature

There are a whole bunch of i.Pros to the i.Con. Once you finish (and hopefully your partner does, too), you can use the i.Con app to download your data and charge it up.

"You will not know that the i.Con is there, it’s extremely lightweight and non-invasive," a spokesperson told Mashable.

This sportscaster roasting transphobic bigots is truly glorious to watch.

Texas sportscaster Dale Hansen came to the defense of a transgender teen during a segment on WFAA-TV, and totally shut down transphobic bigots in the process.

In the video, Hansen spoke specifically of Mack Beggs, a 17-year-old athlete who is forced to wrestle against girls although he is a transgender boy. Beggs takes testosterone as part of the gender confirmation process, which changes his body to be more typically masculine. Hansen argues that this is not only unfair to the girls Beggs is wrestling, but to Beggs himself who clarified that he would feel more comfortable wrestling other boys.

"I don't understand his world...but I do understand he is a part of mine." HANSEN UNPLUGGED: http://on.wfaa.com/2lODg8p

Posted by WFAA-TV on Monday, February 27, 2017

"Transitioning is a struggle I cannot imagine. It is a journey I could not make," says Hansen, adding, "The problems that Mack Beggs is facing and dealing with now remind me again that I don't have any problems."

Dale Hansen is checking his cis, straight, white male privilege and we LOVE IT.

Beggs is often boo'ed by parents and peers when he wrestles, and many of his competitors forfeit matches to avoid wrestling him at all. Hansen is sending the message that you don't have to fully understand or agree with someone in order to be decent toward them.

Dale Hansen urged viewers to support trans youths instead if trying to delegitimize and devalue them. "[Beggs] does not need a group of old men in Austin telling him who to wrestle because of a genetic mix-up at birth... He’s a child, simply looking for his place in the world and a chance to compete in the world."

Hansen has used his platform to elevate marginalized groups before. In 2015, he spoke candidly about racism, and before that he gave a similar speech about gay football player Michael Sam.

Hansen is not asking you to understand or endorse—he just wants you to listen.

Patrick Stewart is applying to become an American citizen to 'fight, fight' Donald Trump.

Patrick Stewart joined The Viewon Thursday to talk about becoming the poop emoji, to show off some Star Trek bloopers, and to muse about Donald Trump resistance.

As The View viewed a Patrick Stewart tweet about sleeping in close proximity to Donald Trump (apparently, this is a bad cure for insomnia), Stewart shared his desire to become an American.

"I'm not a citizen, however, maybe it's the only good thing as a result of this election, I am now applying for citizenship. Because I want to be an American, too. All of my friends in Washington said there is one thing you can do: fight, fight, oppose. But I can't do it, because I'm not a citizen."

There's always room in America for a good Sir, as far as ICE isn't concerned. But unfortunately, Sir Patrick Stewart failed to elaborate on what sort of resistance, exactly, he plans to exercise once he becomes a citizen.

Obviously, you can still resist without being a citizen, although just as obvious is the fact that you're more likely to get kicked out of the country. The conversation made me reminisce about another British man, a celebrity who himself was nearly deported for his outspoken protest of the government: John Lennon.

The U.S. vs John Lennon is a great documentary about Richard Nixon's government trying to silence a very popular, very British anti-establishment figure via deportation.

Is Patrick Stewart our era's John Lennon?

As if being a talented actress and fierce feminist weren't enough, it turns out Emma Watson is also a benevolent makeup artist.

Emma Watson and her Beauty and the Beastco-star Dan Stevens were in the middle of an interview when Emma noticed that the reporter had some pen on her face. Instead of ignoring it and letting her continue on with a smudged face, Watson paused the interview to personally wipe the pen off herself.

"You would do this for me, and I would do this for you. You've got pen on your chin, and you're going to be so sad when you see this, and I just have to do this for you," Emma Watson said as she wiped the pen off. "I'm sorry, I know what it's like to have something on your face."

As if that wasn't nice enough, Emma also called off-camera for someone named Amanda to bring the reporter some concealer. Emma Watson stopped an interview to do something very sweet for a reporter.

Good looking out, Emma.

Dr. Pimple Popper 'wiggles' out a lipoma that looks like a brain buried in this woman's back.

Lipomas (benign fatty lumps that develop under the skin) are part of Dr. Pimple Popper's classic repertoire. There's something about seeing these surprisingly large chicken cutlet-looking things get popped out of a normal person's body that gives popaholics the chills. Like many torso lipomas, today's example gave Dr. Lee some trouble, but once she dug in there, she was able to "wiggle" it out in mostly one piece. It was worth the wait.

Skip to 7:50 if you're busy and just want the good stuff.

Lipomas are like family tension—there's always more buried under the surface.

Lesbian couple who both breastfeed their baby are blowing people's minds.

Steph and Claire Eden-McIlroy have a baby girl, LJ, and take turns breastfeeding her. While Claire is the mom who gave birth, Steph trained her body to lactate in the months before the baby arrived.

“I started pumping regularly months before the baby was born. I also took a lot of fenugreek, breastfeeding biscuits and breastfeeding tea. As many natural things as I could to help with it," Steph toldITV's This Morning.

The two went viral back in February for a gorgeous series of photos that showed them taking turns feeding LJ. Birth photographer Lacey Barratt took the photos, and the new moms wanted to show same-sex couples the possibilities the human body can present.

"Ladies, did you know, that you DO NOT have to be the birth mother in order to breastfeed? Adoptive parents, surrogacy parents, you can breastfeed your baby!" Barratt wrote in the caption.

People were amazed by the Eden-McIllroys' appearance on This Morning, celebrating how cool this is that the human body could pull this off and give every mom an opportunity to bond with their baby.

But of course, there were bigots, too.

It turned into a great debate.

This Morning's Dr. Zoe that some men are able to breastfeed too, so dudes, you have no excuse.

Rod Stewart apologizes for bizarre video of him mocking a real ISIS beheading.

Rod Stewart's wife, Penny Lancaster, posted a video taken in the desert outside Abu Dhabi. You know, just a nice little fun vacation clip she took, of Rod Stewart and some friends climbing the sand dunes. And then reenacting something that looks very much like an ISIS beheading video, as Rod Stewart kneels in front of a friend who pretends to cut his head off. Ha. Ha. Oof.

Lancaster uploaded the mock-beheading video with the caption "Rod Stewart (leader) band doing a ‘Beatles’ sand dune crossing." She deleted the strange ISIS-like video a few hours later, though. According to the Daily News, Rod Stewart issued an apology, which reads,

From re-enacting the Beatles’ "Abbey Road" crossing to spontaneously playing out "Game Of Thrones," we were simply larking about pre-show. Understandably, this has been misinterpreted and I send my deepest apologies to those who have been offended.

But people are still very upset about the beheading video, and some British citizens are calling for Rod Stewart's Knighthood to be revoked, according to TMZ.

Twitter is freaking out over this super creepy video of turkeys doing some weird ritual around a dead cat.

Here is the weirdest thing you will see all day, if not all week: a resident of Massachusetts (Boston, not Salem), took this video of a ring of turkeys eerily walking in circles around a dead cat in the middle of a road.

WHAT. THE. FLOCK.

Cool. So, either the turkeys are practicing black magic to harness enough power to become our new animal overlords, or this is some weird, feathery sign of the apocalypse. Either way, Twitter is freaking out.

Fortunately, Alan Krakauer, a biologist at the University of California, Davis, is here to assure us that the bizarre behavior is nothing to worry about. This is what Krakauer toldThe Verge:

Sometimes, animals lower down in the food chain approach predators — a behavior that can be seen as risky, but can actually help the prey. Making the predator aware that the prey know it’s there can sometimes scare the predator away. The “inspection” also allows the prey to check how determined the predator is to attack, and can alert other animals to the danger.

Of course, a cat corpse is not exactly dangerous to a living turkey, but the animal could have recently died and now the turkeys are just stuck in a never-ending loop of following the bird in front of them. So yeah, not quite the organized conspiracy it originally appeared to be...but still pretty damn creepy.

This 99-year-old woman just fulfilled a lifelong dream to go to jail.

Why was this 99-year-old woman cuffed and booked? Because she wanted to be—going to jail was an item on her bucket list, and the Nijmegen-Zuid, Netherlands cops were nice enough to help her out.

Bijna 100 en een bucketlist: Vanochtend hebben we Annie een zeer mooie dag kunnen bezorgen door één van haar laatste...

Posted by Politie Nijmegen-Zuid on Thursday, February 23, 2017

The police station posted the pictures of the woman, identified only as "Annie," loving her jail experience. Their post quickly went viral, racking up over 7,000 likes.

Why did she want to get arrested and go to jail? Who knows. I just wish we could see the rest of her bucket list. Hopefully she's already crossed off skydiving, bungee-jumping, and joining a motorcle gang.

Also, take note: according to Distractify, this isn't something the police station would normally allow. Sorry to all you prison-buffs out there who are just dying to go jail.

Wow, this certainly didn't go as planned—a man proposing marriage to his girlfriend had the misfortune of vomiting right as he popped the big question. It wasn't so much from nerves as it was from airsickness. Still, the timing was impeccable.

Luckily, this didn't deter his girlfriend (now fiancée) from saying yes. And hey, they'll have a story for their kids: "Well, when a man and a woman love each other very much, the man takes the woman for a romantic ride in a small plane and vomits."

He sure didn't.

Sorry you’re jealous of my relationship with the delivery man.

Gay siblings brilliantly prank their homophobic parents by 'dating' each others' partners.

A gay brother and sister with conservative, homophobic parents made lemonade out of lemons by figuring out a genius plan to have sleepovers with their partners. Under their parents' roof.

The brother shared his scheme on Imgur and the post has gone viral:

It reads:

My sister is a lesbian and I’m gay but our parents are very conservative so she ‘dates’ my bf & I ‘date’ her gf, so if they stay over, they stay in opposite rooms, but jokes on my parents.

By "opposite rooms" I assume he means, guys in one room and gals in another. While the parents assume the son and his sister's "boyfriend" are chatting about dude stuff, like sports and girls. And the daughter and her brother's "girlfriend" are painting their nails and braiding each others' hair, before they all drift off into heterosexual sleep.

PSYCH!!!!!

Hopefully in the future, homophobia and hate will finally die out and everyone will be free to love who they want to love regardless of gender and no one will have to lie to their parents. But until that happens, this is a brilliant ploy for glorious gay sex to happen under a homophobic roof.

Sexism may be depriving women of getting the sandwich they paid for.

Ladies, it's not easy being us. We don't get paid as much, we're held to high beauty standards, we're expected to "have it all." But are we also getting smaller meals than our male counterparts without realizing it? Do people unconsciously fill our sandwiches with less delicious goodness? WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE?!

A recent episode of the Sporkful podcast sought to answer an interesting : does "sandwich sexism" exist?

In a previous episode of the podcast, food critic Mimi Sheraton told the story of the time she packed 104 pastrami sandwiches into her car, taking them to a scale in order to figure out which Jewish deli gave you the biggest sandwich for your money.

After hearing Sheraton's anecdote, a Sporkful listener by the name of Bill in San Clemente called in to pose an interesting question: Do sandwich places make smaller sandwiches for women than they do for men?

An interesting question. Sexism is all over the place in our society, but would it dare infiltrate our lunches? Sandwiches are so delicious, so pure. They couldn't possibly be contributing to the patriarchy, could they?

Sporkful host Dan Pashman set out to settle the question once and for all. He enlisted his friend Laura to go with him to several different sandwich shops around New York City. At each location, the two of them separately ordered the exact same sandwich.

They talked to the people who made their sandwiches about whether or not they ever take gender into account when they're making food for people.

You can listen to the whole episode of the podcast here:

Once Dan and Laura had all their sandwiches, they brought them back to the WNYC offices and weighed them on the scale in the mailroom.

Their findings? Three out of the four sandwiches were actually made bigger for Laura than they were for Dan. (Granted, four sandwiches is a teeny-tiny sample size, but hey. We can't all be scientists.)

I must say, this Sporkful episode gave me hope. I was fully expecting Laura to get a bunch of puny "lady-sized" sandwiches. Sure, we still don't have equal pay, but at least we are equal in subs.

Hilariously quirky Emma Watson pranks a nanny with the help of Ellen.

You know Ellen DeGeneres loves a good prank. So when Emma Watson was a guest on her show, she devised a scheme wherein she (Emma Watson) would be holding a job interview to hire a nanny. A nanny for her (Emma Watson), not for children, because she doesn't have any kids. But she definitely acted like one in the interview.

Throughout the whole thing, Ellen is in her ear, telling her what to say. Much like all her other celebrity pranks, she ups the ante on craziness with basically each sentence. And with a humongous lollipop for Watson.

Here's a brief summary of the chosen nanny's necessary qualifications, as dictated to Watson by Ellen: "I don't like crusts on sandwiches. I don't like milk, but I do like Red Bull...I like to go potty alone. I don't need you to help me potty."

Thank goodness Ellen's prank co-conspirators tend to be professional performers—there's no way a novice could get through this without cracking up.

Let's mom dance this weekend.

Jeffree Star accused of using blackface in his latest makeup campaign.

Jeffree Star is never too far from controversy, and it would seem that the makeup mogul has pissed off the internet yet again with his most recent advertising campaign.

Star unveiled new advertisements for his upcoming Androgyny makeup palette coming out on March 4th, but not everyone is cool with images. Specifically, people are accusing Star of darkening model Nikita Dragun's skin tone to the point of blackface.

People voiced their anger over the alleged cultural appropriation via Twitter.

However, Dragun defended the campaign pictures by insisting that she simply got a spray tan.

She also tweeted this throwback picture to her younger self with family so fans could compare and contrast her coloring.

Dragun often uploads seflies with different wigs, makeup, and lighting, and has been accused of appropriating black culture in the past.

Star also weighed in on the controversy with a simple tweet of support for his friend.

Star has been accused of racism before, and his ex-best friend Kat Von D brought the receipts proving that the rumors of Star's troubling past were indeed true.

On top of his disturbing racist past, Star also has been accused of rampant misogyny, cyber bullying and promoting drug use, but apologized by saying that he was young and tried to be "shocking" on the internet. Star also feuded with Kylie Jenner on the internet over lipstick last year.

Restauranteur posts surveillance video to expose reviewer who tried to scam him with a hair.

A family-owned Italian restaurant in Brisbane, Australia is enjoying the sweet flavor of vindication today after foiling an attempted smear campaign by a pair of nightmare customers. Sarah Biuso co-owns Casa Nostra Ristorante along with her husband Biugio Buisco, who is the head chef. As they described to news.com.au, the incident started when a couple came in for dinner on Saturday evening. And for a family of seasoned foodservice workers, this pair immediately set off alarm bells.

We had two people book a table for dinner, with the woman booking saying she was bringing the Duchess of Netherlands as her guest. My son who works in the restaurant took the booking, and it was quite bizarre, but he listened and took down what they said.

When they walked in, they immediately started making demands. First they moved tables, and then they tried to combine two entrees for the price of one. Once their meals arrived, they quietly ate 75% of them. But then they brought their server over to make a complaint.

Biagio Biusco.

The customer who had asked for the Frankenstein dish pointed to her plate, where there was a hair. She demanded the meal for free because of this disgusting violation. But Biusco wasn't buying it.

As soon as the waiter cleared the plate, it was obviously the woman’s hair. We all have short dark trimmed hair, and this was a strand of dirty blonde curly hair.

When Biusco's son refused her request, she threatened to expose the hair in a negative review on TripAdvisor.com.

She was really rude while dealing with my son, but she was adamant and said, "If you don’t take this off the bill we will destroy your restaurant."

But Biusco's son stuck to his guns. And true to the woman's word, two scathing reviews appeared on TripAdvisor only hours later, one of which mentioned the hair fiasco.

That lion pic is a sure sign of trouble.

The review reads:

We came here for a romantic Italian dinner.... and it turned out to be the worst experience ever! when we received our food my partners meal had a long hair in it, and when we showed this to the waiter, he got upset at my partner accusing him that it was his hair. His hair isn't even that long!

But hers was. And she didn't count on one other smoking gun—the surveillance cameras installed by the Biuscos, just in case something like this should happen. They posted footage of her clearly placing her own hair in the pasta on the restaurant's Instagram, along with a hilarious voiceover by Biugio.

The Customer Is Always Right hey?????? Look what we, and other food business owners have to deal with on a regular basis. We work hard every single day to give our customers an amazing experience in our restaurant and then you find people like this who decide to try and blackmail us for a hair in their meal. As you can see, she put her own hair in the plate, stirred it around and insisted the waiter remove it from her as she was so offended. FYI they tried to pretend it was a man and woman, but it was two women and both wrote a review. We could see 101% it was the customers hair and that is the reason why we did not remove this dish from the bill. Because we did not remove the dish from the bill, they told us explicitly that they would post bad reviews on Trip Advisor, which they did. Trip Advisor has a no blackmail policy for reviews and if you inform them in advance, they say they will not post them. Ummm no, we emailed them on the night this happened saying the customers threatened us with these bad reviews and we gave them easily identifiable information. Yep, you guessed it, the reviews are posted on Trip Advisor for all the world to see. Once again Trip Advisor publishes whatever they want for the world to see with no regards to the blood sweat and tears of business owners and our complete inability to control or withdraw fake and blackmailed reviews from these sites. Trip Advisor have been sued successfully in the past over similar incidents. Any other business owners have similar experiences and have had enough? We are in talks with our lawyer in regards to pursuing a case for defamation. Please share as much as possible to show the world what's going on.

Sarah Biusco.

The Biuscos also sent the video to TripAdvisor, as well as to news outlets including 9News. In response to the overwhelming outcry, TripAdvisor eventually did take down the reviews—almost a week later.

In the years since sites like TripAdvisor and Yelp have become critically important to all sorts of businesses in the service industry, owners have become increasingly paranoid about the damage that could be done to their lives by a single unhinged customer like this. But stories like this prove that that paranoia is justified—if the Biusco family hadn't installed those cameras, they might be out of business. So next time you're going to write a review of your dinner, choose your words carefully.
