Woman's text response to homophobic aunt was so scorching, it got the whole family involved.

Over the weekend, Charlie (twitter user @maggieglenn) found herself in a text fight with her homophobic aunt. She took screenshots of the texts on her phone and posted them on Twitter, where the whole conversation quickly went viral, due to the aunt's horrible remarks, and Charlie's hilarious reply.

https://twitter.com/maggiegIenn/status/716324399570403329https://twitter.com/maggiegIenn/status/716342161353089025

Her aunt's text read:

I hope I didnt upset you earlier. That was not my intention. You need to stop being so sensitive I did not mean faggot in a bad way I just mean you gay people have a lot of drama. I tried to understand this bi shit you claim to be but you teenagers make stuff up all teh time. Youre young you will find a man. You can change. You used to be so clever. If you think you cant accept my help dont come to Indies birthday I do not want you ruining the day.

https://twitter.com/maggiegIenn/status/716345278387847168

After receiving the offensive text from her aunt, Charlie texted back:

Hi aunt Marie,

Don't worry about it! I know what you're like after a few bottles of wine. I can't make Indie's birthday I'm afraid, I have a huge lesbian orgy that day and me and the other faggots have been planning it for months. By the way how's your divorce going? I saw uncle Lee with his new girlfriend, she's 20 years younger than you right? Speak soon!

(The tweet with Charlie's awesome response to her aunt has been re-tweeted almost 40,000 times on Twitter.)

And then the rest of Charlie's family started jumping in, as she got texts from her mom, dad, and presumably cousin Hollie.

Of course, people on Twitter responded to Charlie's tweets, sharing their own experiences and just generally giving her support.

https://twitter.com/twoheadedpug/status/716396689880428546

In an interview with Fusion, Charlie said that she'd come out to her family as bisexual two years ago, and her father's side of the family had been mostly supportive. Her mother's side, though, was struggling a bit more to understand. Charlie told Fusion, “In the past I’ve never called out my family or friends for being homophobic because most of the time it’s down to lack of education, they don’t realise why they can’t say the things that they’re saying. I think a big problem with them is that they don’t want to change their views because it’s how they’ve grown up.”

But her aunt's homophobia was too much for her to take passively. Charlie said she thinks her response to her aunt resonated so strongly with a lot of people because "LGBT teenagers/children are very passive when it comes to ignorance and abuse from their family because it’s their family. They feel as though they can’t argue with them or even defend themselves because we’re taught that family is the most important thing and conflicting views shouldn’t change anything.”

Charlie said the one thing she wants other people to learn from this whole exchange is that it's okay to stand up for yourself. As she put it: “You should remind yourself that you are worth more than the ignorant people in your life. Whether you’re out or not you’re amazing and there is definitely nothing wrong with you, you should always be you and put yourself first.”

Have fun at that orgy, Charlie—you probably won't be missing much at Indie's party anyway.

In perhaps her most LA moment, Courtney Stodden's hair caught on fire during a seance.

Courtney Stodden, who recently bared her soul face to the world, is entertaining the masses this week with a video of herself accidentally lighting her hair on fire. While dabbling in the occult with artist/psychic (what an intriguing combination) Sham Ibrahim over the livestreaming app Periscope, Courtney Stodden chose the wrong place to lay down her very flammable hair.

Stodden, wearing lots of orange on her body and not her flaming hair.

Stodden posted a clip of herself getting a bit too cozy with the candle on her Instagram:

https://www.instagram.com/p/BDyervQEbJn/?hl=en

Ok so during a seance to contact Michael Jackson, my hair went up in flames. I feel MJ had my curls catch fire as a sign he was there. His hair caught fire while filming a Pepsi commercial

Neither the clip nor Stodden's caption do the fiery scene justice. If you want to watch from the beginning to witness this whole "really serious" spectacle that has guest appearances from Amy Winehouse and Michael Jackson, you can check out the Periscope:

https://twitter.com/CourtneyStodden/status/716868121659768832

Stodden was not ashamed of the night's proceedings:

Just an average evening for a 21-year-old quasi-celebrity.

Video about what happens when you skip the gym might actually motivate your mushy body.

In a educational video that serves as an excellent lesson in how to weigh people down with guilt and anxiety in 70 seconds, Elite Daily compiled seven potential results of quitting the gym. Do not watch this video while eating pizza, because you will feel shamed if you do, and no one should ever feel bad about enjoying pizza.

https://www.facebook.com/EliteDaily/videos/1144544612263836/

Speaking of depression, that video was depressing. But this only applies to people who have been working out—so if you haven't been hitting the gym then none of these things can happen, right? Maybe? Or is it that type of thing where non-gym goers are already experiencing all of these negative side effects and unknowingly suffering? Yes, it's definitely meant to be that, sadly.

Taylor Swift's bodyguard is the true star in this photo of Taylor Swift on a Disney ride.

Taylor Swift has a ton of obsessive fans, so of course she needs a particularly hardcore bodyguard to accompany her in public places like amusement parks. Here is the pop singer in Disneyland with model Lily Aldridge and Aldridge's daughter Dixie on the Radiator Springs Racers ride. But the first person you look at in this photo won't be the two lovely women or the cute kid. It will be Swift's bodyguard, the sour-faced man sitting behind them having zero fun on a rollercoaster ride.

In Taylor Swift bodyguard's defense, she seems like the kind of adult who is a little too into Disney, you know? Must be tough to deal with.

Whether you loved 'The X-Files' or never watched it, you can now catch up on the whole series in 3 minutes.

America's favorite paranormal detectives returned to TV earlier this year, but just in case you missed both the reboot and the original series, Mashable gave The X-Files their TL;DW treatment. Short for "too long; didn't watch," this short animated video summarizes the basic gist of the show's 208 episodes. Even if you have seen it, the video's commentary will delight the most rabid of Mulder and Scully buffs.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFNpde-v1o4

You'd think after at least one hundred times of Mulder being right and the FBI being wrong, the FBI would finally accept it and say, "damn, guess ghouls and aliens are real, huh?" The X-Files clearly believes in paranormal phenomena and conspiracy theories more than it believes in the competency of federal U.S. law enforcement.

Have you seen The X-Files?

Woman removes old carpet to discover creepy cellar filled with an unexpected collection.

The friend of Redditor Madhats19 recently ripped up an old carpet to discover that, lo and behold, her house has a secret basement. This could either be the beginning of a horror film or the start of a great HGTV show.

Luckily, this friend's story fits more in line with some solid HGTV programming than a gory flick, as what she found inside the cellar was fascinating—and creepy, but mostly fascinating.

At first the cellar appeared to be a regular old basement that could nicely house, say, the decaying body of a serial killer's mother. Then after a quick look around, this homeowner found jars. Lots and lots of jars.

And inside some of the jars: food.

The homeowner and her friend didn't share much information yet, which leaves room for speculation. Here are a few potential theories for the mysterious jars:

- The former homeowner was really into pickling, but somehow, over time, this precious space was forgotten.

- A guy paranoid about nuclear war was stocking up for life underground.

- A witch used to live in the house and hid all her potions in the cellar.

Hopefully the Redditor and homeowner will update the post with more information, assuming they haven't been murdered in that creepy basement.

Adele's mighty voice shorts out sound system mid-song, then she proves she doesn't need it.

During her April 2 concert at Genting Arena in Birmingham, Adele encountered some technical difficulties, again, on the same song that gave her trouble during the 2016 Grammys, "All I Ask." Around two minutes and 40 seconds into the song, all the sound, including the piano, cut out completely. But that didn't stop Adele and her tremendous voice, because she and her fans just kept right on singing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74GQtdFjdbY

And about a minute later, the sound came back on. As it turns out, she didn't even notice. She asks the crowd why they all started cheering midway through the song, and when they explained, she said "The sound went off?? The f*cking PA went off??" That's Adele for you, though—basically the human embodiment of an unstoppable force, albeit one who's had some unfortunate experiences with audio equipment a little too often.

It's Beyoncé and Jay Z's 8th wedding anniversary. Here's why they're still the ultimate power couple.

April 4th, 2016 marks the official eight-year anniversary of Jay Z"putting a ring on it" and marrying the closest thing the United States has to a queen, Beyoncé. The couple, which has been together since Beyoncé was 19, are #relationshipgoals personified, and not just because they both have a lot of money and entertainment empires. To celebrate eight years of marriage, here are eight reasons why Bey-Z is the ultimate power couple.

1. The couple got married secretly, proving they don't always need an audience.

According toEssence, the couple's 2008 secret wedding ceremony only had 40 guests, and it took place at Jay Z's Manhattan penthouse. The couple requested all their guests "leave their Blackberries home" for the ceremony. Although Blackberries are basically extinct now, Beyoncé and Jay Z are still together, despite constant divorce rumors.

Although the couple never released and photos or video from their wedding day, they did include snippets of it in a video used during their On the Run Tour, where they sang along to the most lavish and adorable home video ever.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmfmdKOLzVI

2. They make chart-topping music together.

So far, the couple has collaborated on nine songs together, and with rumors that Beyoncé will be dropping a new surprise album at any minute, it is possible that that number will grow. The first song the couple collaborated on was "Bonnie and Clyde" in 2002, and they went on to do "Crazy in Love" the next year.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJAEpILeLi8https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViwtNLUqkMY

The couple also collaborated on "Upgrade U"...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nr8hPnZfMU

...and "Deja Vu"...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQ9BWndKEgs

...and "Drunk in Love"...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1JPKLa-Ofc

...and, OK, there is no need to list all nine songs. But it is clear that they like, really really really like to collaborate.

3. They made the cutest baby ever, and she steals the spotlight just like her parents.

After four years of marriage and the whole world acting like an impatient mother asking her daughter "when are you gonna give me grandbabies?!" Beyoncé gave birth to a Jay Z look-alike named Blue Ivy. In a total power move, the couple decided to release the first images of their daughter, born in 2012, on their own terms on Beyonce's official website. There have been plenty of photos of the couple's mini-me ever since.

Like your family, they also rocked a group Halloween costume at some point. Except, you know, better.

https://www.instagram.com/p/9jpK_LPw2T/

Blue even appeared in the music video for her mom's song "Formation."

4. They co-headlined a world tour together. A WORLD TOUR.

A photo posted by Beyoncé (@beyonce) on

After completing their separate solo tours—Beyoncé's The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour and Jay-Z's Magna Carter World Tour from 2013-2014, the married couple teamed up to co-headline the On the Run world tour, named for a song they couple did together in 2013. It made sense for the new mother and father. Think of their tour as a big family road trip, but instead of piling in the mini van, they had private jets.

A photo posted by Beyoncé (@beyonce) on

5. They know how to surprise each other.

US Magazine reported that before Beyoncé's 2015 Superbowl performance, her husband showed her his support by sending her...get ready...10,000 roses. That's over 833 bouquets of a dozen roses. Jay Z also bought the mother of his child a gift usually associated with The Mother of Dragons, and purchased one of the dragon's eggs from Game of ThronesWhat a cool gift to get the woman who has everything!

Emilia Clark, who plays Daenerys Targaryen on the HBO show, said "They are really, really, really expensive. And they are really f–king heavy and serious works of art."

The small rose field and egg are nothing compared to what Beyoncé allegedly bought her husband for father's day– a 40 million dollar jet

6. They really love and respect each other.

Gift-buying aside, the two seem to truly love and respect one another. At the end of their On the Run tour, Beyoncé told her husband that she is his "biggest fan." Mr. Carter responded that it was his "honor and a pleasure" to share the stage with his wife. "I couldn't dream for anything else to be in a stadium with the woman I love, who I believe is the greatest entertainer of our time."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCWBcH1_G78

Love is real, and that video is proof.

7. They look great whether they are dressed up or dressed down.

Being ridiculously well-dressed comes with the title of "A-list celebrity," but Beyoncé and Jay-Z truly take it to the next level. There seems to be no evidence of either of them ever "bumming it" or rocking old sweats...ever. Even when Bey is completely bare faced, she still looks like a beautiful angel.

Still, the couple knows how to rock some formal wear.

But they look equally as good dressing it down. Like "better-than-you-will-look-on-your-wedding-day" good.

8. They are the closest thing the US has to actual royalty.

As the United State's premiere power couple, Beyoncé and Jay Z keep good company with other couples just as powerful (and visually appealing) as them. They are good friends with the Obamas, and they visit the White House semi-frequently. Bey even got a birthday shout out from FLOTUS Michelle Obama this year.

Enjoy these adorable rats fighting prejudice in their own squeaky words for World Rat Day.

Today is World Rat Day, a fact not lost on one Redditor who resurfaced some photos from an old Tumblr called Kara's Rat World. In it, pet rats fight rat-shaming in the only way they can: with little words in beautiful penmanship.

Little guy even drew his own ratmoji.

At the time she made the blog, Kara was a zoo keeper at the National Zoo in Washington DC where she worked, appropriately, in the Small Mammal House. She also owned seven pet rats and used her blog to raise awareness and acceptance for the little creatures.

She called the series "Ratvocates."

"They have a bad rap because of the actions and reputations of their wild cousins but they make amazing pets," Kara wrote at the time. "Rats follow us wherever we go and the similarities between our species and theirs are striking."

If you're starting to get into these photos and think you might be ready for a rat companion of your own—start thinking "two." Kara says getting just one is "very cruel to your rat! Rats are extremely social creatures that can become depressed without any companions." Double the rats, double the fun.

Apparently, Petco isn't the first place you should go to look for a rat. Obviously, the New York subway is the last place, but a better option is to just google it and find a rattery in your state.

Kara also found several of her rats by searching for rescues. If you're truly a hero at the level of Rat-Man, you can do this too.

Plus, he eats less.

According to WorldRatDay.com, the holiday started in 2002 when a rat-themed mailing list decided their misunderstood, furry pals deserved a day of positive recognition.

Yup, he's telling the truth. Verified by such prestigious outlets as NPR, rats have been used in Cambodia to sniff for land mines. They can apparently clear a 200 square meter area in about a half hour.

Check out Kara's Rat World for more photos and information on owning a pet rat. In the meantime, enjoy this GIF:

Horrifying things sometimes come out of the sea. Here is one: a strange-looking... shark? ... thing that was caught on March 29 off the coast of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

https://www.facebook.com/piscessportfishingcabo/posts/10154037978273744

Said the company that owns the fishing boats:

Jaime Rendon is the well known and liked local captian of the panga Dr. Pescado; he is also a great fisherman - we don't have all the details yet, but know that he caught this strange creature off of Cabo today. It appears to be some kind of shark. He realized it was something special and RELEASED it him/her back into the Sea. Well done Jaime - very few people would have done that. Photos have been sent to local experts to try and find out what it is. If anybody has any ideas please let us know.

That was indeed pretty nice of the captain, since if the monster-human roles were reversed, that alien would have probed the f*ck out of him.

But is it, in fact, an alien? Believe it or not, scientists say no: according to the fishing group, experts have told them that it's likely a swellshark with albinism. Swellsharks are small for sharks, but they can puff out their body to scare off approaching predators—hence the shark's name and its bloated belly here. Don't you wish that worked with creepy guys at the bar, ladies?!

When a nurse ordered a pizza, he didn't expect it to come with a side order of rude note.

A nurse in Paris, Texas was working late in the night when hunger hit, so he put in an order for a Domino's pizza just five minutes before the shop was closing. CBS11 reported that the pizza arrived at the hospital dripping with cheesy warmth...and a side of sass in the form of a handwritten note on the box.

Thanks! We would appreciate is VERY much if you didn't wait until 5 minutes before we close.

The nurse sent a photo of the box (hopefully after enjoying his hard-earned pizza) to his friend, who has since taken up a crusade for him. “It was the rudest thing I’ve ever seen,” the friend, Kerry Miller, told CBS11.

While the local branch hasn't shared any words of regret, a Domino's spokesman stated, “We do not condone or encourage this kind of behavior or one-sided ‘dialogue’ with our customers."

Presumably, whoever wrote the note now feels a bit bad for complaining about a delivery to a hospital, also known as that place where people's lives are saved. At least it wasn't some poor patient who was on the receiving end of this sass. The nurse has surely gotten much worse treatment and will survive the failed guilt-trip.

Well, they released a trailer for 'Swiss Army Man,' that movie where Daniel Radcliffe plays a farting corpse.

Around Sundance-time, you might remember hearing murmurings about Swiss Army Man, a film starring the generally respectable actors Daniel Radcliffe, Paul Dano, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. You know, it's the one that caused dozens of walkouts from the theater because Daniel Radcliffe plays (in surely his most Oscar-worthy role yet) a farting corpse:

https://twitter.com/TheInSneider/status/690680446145863682?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw

Unsurprisingly, the film has been described as an extended fart joke/"95 minute viral video." At the time, common, non-Sundance-attending folks such as yourself could only live the uncomfortable horror vicariously. But now there's a trailer. And good news! In a bit of savvy marketing, they kept the trailer farts to a minimum.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrK1f4TsQfM

As the trailer notes, the film also won a directing award, so at the very least, Swiss Army Man is the most beautiful 95-minute fart joke you'll ever see.

Some actor named Mark Hamill went to the Disney offices, where they have no idea who he his.

Mark Hamill, an actor involved in the Star Wars film series, went to the Disney headquarters in London where apparently people have time-traveled from the 1960s. While at the offices of the company now behind Star Wars, Hamill had to check in and give his name. Which is not Mark Hamilton.

https://twitter.com/HamillHimself/status/716696365758287873

Again, the Star Wars actor was at the Disney offices, where someone couldn't get his name right. This would be an understandable situation at maybe a hair salon, but not the Disney offices. Whoever made that mistake should take a few days leave to watch all seven Star Wars films, in order to better perform their job.

Mr. Hamilton.

Hamill seems like a chill enough guy and he wasn't insulted. Since jokingly tweeting about his office visit, Hamill has continued to be a great celebrity tweeter.
