Kim Kardashian West suffered a terrifying ordeal in October when she was robbed at gunpoint of millions in cash and jewelry in her hotel room in Paris. No arrests were made at the time, but now E! is reporting that, according to several French outlets, 16 people have been arrested in France in connection with the crime.

West dropped out of the spotlight in the months following the burglary—well, as much as she possibly could, given that in November, her husband Kanye West suffered some sort of breakdown that led to him being hospitalized.
Footage from a security camera near the Paris hotel (which had no functioning surveillance cameras) showed people approaching the hotel, on foot and on bicycle, and then making a hasty getaway some time later. However, the footage was grainy and didn't show much. It's not clear if the footage played any part in the suspects being arrested.
West just returned to social media last week, after three months without posting on Twitter, Instagram, or her private app. A promo for an upcoming episode of her show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, showed her crying and recalling the incident to her sisters, saying, "They're going to shoot me in the back. There's no way out. It makes me so upset to think about it."
Conservative pundit Tomi Lahren was totally "triggered" by Meryl Streep's Golden Globes speech last night. Lahren has pretty much made a career on calling out liberals who complain about the current state of affairs, but the young Republican talk show host proved to be a bit of a snowflake herself after totally melting down following Streep's remarks about President-elect Trump. Lahren broadcasted her temper tantrum on Twitter and boy is it a doozy.
Meryl bout to get some "final thoughts" tomorrow. These entitled Hollywood crybabies still don't understand how out of touch they are!
Are you going to be okay, Tomi? Do you need a brown paper bag to hyperventilate into?
Of course, Lahren was not going to get away with this "crybaby" hypocrisy unnoticed. Twitter pretty much had a field day with Lahren's tweet rampage, and gleefully took the opportunity to roast the 24-year old. How does it feel, Tomi?
Tomi Lahren: *having meltdown over #MerylStreep's speech*
Of course, Tomi Lahren wasn't the only person who nearly passed out after hearing Meryl Streep's speech. President-elect Trump also threw a hissy-fit on Twitter Monday morning following the awards ceremony, but tell us more about how liberals are the ones who need safe spaces.
Meryl Streep's speech at Sunday night's Golden Globes ceremony has gotten a lot of media attention. But that wasn't the only buzz-worthy occurrence at the event, thanks to Ryan Reynolds and Andrew Garfield's surprise kiss.
OH MY GOD RYAN REYNOLDS AND ANDREW GARFIELD KISSING IN THE BACKGROUND LMFAOOO IM BLAKE LIVELY SITTING THERE CLAPPING pic.twitter.com/DLAfYfaRGq
Ryan Reynolds portrayal of Deadpool didn't win him the award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy (that went to Ryan Gosling for La La Land), but it did win him a smooch with former Spider-Man Andrew Garfield, who was sitting next to him during the ceremony.
The audience, of course, loved it, but Gosling missed it because he was getting on stage at the time, as did Gosling's co-star in the movie, Emma Stone (who also happens to be Andrew Garfield's ex). But people made sure they saw the clip later, and Emma Stone's reaction to the kiss was very funny.
Although the Golden Globes made a more complete In Memoriam slideshow for their website, the ceremony itself paid tribute to just two lost stars: Carrie Fisher and her mother, Debbie Reynolds.
As my, as my friend, the dear departed Princess Leia, said to me once: “Take your broken heart, make it into art.”
Apparently, the Golden Globes don't usually run a "people we lost" segment. But with 2016 seeing the loss of so many, at the very least they had to honor the recent, tragic passing of two late greats, Fisher and Reynolds.
The slideshow's full of movie clips and real life snapshots. Emotions in the montage include: joy, nostalgia, love, and happiness.

The internet is all abuzz with talk of Meryl Streep's speech at Sunday night's Golden Globes ceremony. Some people see her as a hero for bravely speaking out against President-elect Donald Trump, while others are upset with her words.
While accepting the Cecil B. Demille Award, Meryl Streep referenced a hotly debated incident in 2015 in which it appears that Donald Trump made fun of a New York Times reporter for his congenital joint disease. She said,
There was one performance this year that stunned me—it sank its hooks in my heart. Not because it was good, there was nothing good about it. But it was effective and it did its job. It made its intended audience laugh and show their teeth. It was the moment where the person asking to sit in the most respected seat in our country imitated a disabled reporter. Someone he outranked in privilege, power, and the capacity to fight back. It kind of broke my heart when I saw it and I still can’t get it out of head because it wasn’t a movie, it was real life.
One person who was not impressed with Streep's speech is Trump counselor Kellyanne Conway. (Surprise!) In an appearance on Fox & Friends Monday morning, Conway said,
I’m concerned that somebody with a platform like Meryl Streep is also, I think, inciting people’s worst instincts. When she won’t get up there and say, "I didn’t like it, but let’s try to support him and see where we can find some common ground with him." Which he has actually done from moment one. The moment he won, he said I’m going to be president for [all people].
Conway saying that Meryl Streep used her platform to "incit[e] people's worst instincts" is more ironic than any Alanis Morissette song could ever depict, seeing as Donald Trump regularly incited people to hate and violence at his rallies. It also wasn't, last time I checked, a requirement for anyone to say nice things about Donald Trump while accepting a lifetime achievement award.
Kellyanne Conway wasn't the only person upset with Meryl Streep for her speech, though. It turns out Meghan McCain, daughter of John McCain, wasn't too into it either, and she took to Twitter to voice her opinion.
This Meryl Streep speech is why Trump won. And if people in Hollywood don't start recognizing why and how - you will help him get re-elected
She tweeted, "This Meryl Streep speech is why Trump won. And if people in Hollywood don't start recognizing why and how—you will help him get re-elected."
In response to her tweet, comedian Billy Eichner tweeted, "Um she asked him not to make fun of disabled people and advocated for the freedom of the press and the arts you fucking moron."
Um she asked him not to make fun of disabled people and advocated for the freedom of the press and the arts you fucking moron https://t.co/IzZexd7Bb4
McCain shot back at Eichner, writing, ".@billyeichner calling republicans like me 'fucking morons' is a great way for Hollywood to bridge the cultural divide. Enjoy your bubble."
.@billyeichner calling republicans like me "fucking morons" is a great way for Hollywood to bridge the cultural divide. Enjoy your bubble.
And the spat didn't end there. Billy Eichner responded, ".@meghanmccain I [sic] rather live in a bubble than live with people who don't feel a need to respect the disabled, freedom of speech & the arts."
.@MeghanMcCain I rather live in a bubble than live with people who don't feel a need to respect the disabled, freedom of speech & the arts!!
He continued, ".@meghanmccain Oh & another message from my bubble-can u ask dad to give back the MILLIONS he's received from the NRA? MERYL FUCKING STREEP!"
.@MeghanMcCain Oh & another message from my bubble-can u ask dad to give back the MILLIONS he's received from the NRA? MERYL FUCKING STREEP!
Meghan McCain stopped responding, but Eichner had a few more things to say. He tweeted, "Love being told I live in a bubble by the daughter of a millionaire politician who sometimes guest co-hosts Hoda and Kathie Lee."

Chris O'Dowd's wife Dawn O'Porter has excellent taste. The British television personality picked a hilarious husband, has an adorable fashion line, and rocks the cutest haircut in the biz. One thing O'Porter should not be put in charge of, however, is cakes for baby showers.
Porter uploaded this picture of a rather graphic cake topped with a woman made of frosting giving birth to a little sugary baby. You can even see the baby start to crown! Well, at least you know it's not breech.
Sometimes, when you get a new outfit and you're feeling great, you just have to share it with the world. A college student by the name of Alyssa recently felt like showing off her new dress, and posted a classic mirror selfie to Twitter.
Alyssa's tweet quickly went viral (retweeted more than 4,000 times and liked more than 8,000 times), but not because of her dress (which if I may say, is flawless.)
What captured the attention of other Twitter users was the explosion of mess all over the floor, which unfortunately for Alyssa, was also included in her reflection. A mirror selfie never lies, my friends.
Of course, she did receive some snark about her messy room.
Not all that different from the objects you discover walking through a New York City subway station, honestly.
After her mirror selfie went viral, Alyssa set up a GoFundMe page for herself, called "Pay My Tuition and I'll Clean My Room." In the description, Alyssa explained that between attending college full-time and working both a full-time and a part-time job, finding time to clean her messy room can be difficult.
"If I reach my goal ($10,000 = 1 year at my school), I will quit my second job and devote my life to cleanliness," she writes.
She may be messy, but hey, this girl's an entrepreneur.
Sunday night, Meryl Streep accepted a lifetime achievement award from the Golden Globes and proceeded to eloquently, emotionally, and thoroughly dismantle Donald Trump.
While the reactions from Donald Trump and Tomi Lehren were predictably, um, kind of negative, the rest of Hollywood nearly broke their thumbs hitting the hands-clapping emoji.
She is over rated as an actress like Michael Jordon is over rated as a basketball player or Sully as a pilot or Ted Williams at baseball. https://t.co/yDfkSVgBHH

Dayummmm.
The comments section of this post lit up with fears that he posted this without her knowledge, but everyone calm down. Just because this picture was taken while she was sleeping (maybe), it doesn't mean she was sleeping when it was posted.
If I had to guess how this went down it was probably like this:
Channing Tatum: Honey, darling, love of my life, I took a picture of you while you were sleeping.
Jenna Dewan: Rude! Delete!
Channing Tatum: Just look at it first.
Jenna Dewan: Damn I look like a billion dollars please share this with the world.
Stranger Things, the runaway hit of the summer, brought '80s kids back to when they were children and made even the most cynical of hearts want to hang out with a group of cool kids. And when Hollywood's best and brightest were all in one room at the Golden Globes, even celebrities couldn't contain their excitement over getting to meet the coolest bicycle gang.
Leave it to Kristen Wiig and Steve Carell to take the upbeat task of announcing the winner of "Best Animated Film" and making it hilariously dark. The two comedians with matching haircuts took to the stage at Sunday's Golden Globes to present the award but paused to discuss the first animated films they saw as kids. Then things took a macabre turn.
"It was kind of a life-changing experience. And as we were leaving the theater, there standing in the lobby was my mom. And that was the moment she told me dad she wanted a divorce. I never saw my father again after that day. Fantasia day," recalled a straight-faced Carell.
Carell and Wiig tried to disguise their laughter as sobs.
Wiig responded that the first animated film she ever saw was Bambi, on the same day that her family put down her three dogs. "My grandpa thought it would be fun to go to the movie and take our minds off of it. But you know, Bambi’s mom—and also that was the last day I saw my grandpa. He disappeared, and I didn’t speak for two years."
The bit definitely stole the show. The two were so funny that people are already campaigning for them to co-host The Golden Globes next year. Who wouldn't want to see a whole night of Wiig and Carell riffing off each other?
so i guess steve carell and kristen wiig should host the golden globes next year
A well-intentioned Tom Hiddleston tried to draw focus to the work the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) is doing in South Sudan, but to many, his Golden Globes acceptance speech came off as awkward and self-serving.
He shared an anecdote from his time in the country, when a group of workers from Doctors Without Borders approached him about his TV series The Night Manager.
"They wanted to say hello, because during the shelling of the previous month, they had binge-watched The Night Manager. And the idea that I could provide—or that we could provide—some relief... made me immensely proud..."
Much of Twitter groaned a collective "yikes."
Thank you to Tom Hiddleston and all actors who dare to perform in projects that are shown in some of the most dangerous parts of he world.
5. Martin Shkreli, because he lost his Twitter privileges.
Infamous "pharma bro" Martin Shkreli has lost his favorite tool for harassing public figures. Shkreli became famous in 2015 after purchasing the rights to Daraprim, a life-saving drug used in the treatment of cancer and AIDS, and hiking the price from $13.50 per pill to $750. He's a real class act.
After that ugly incident turned Shkreli into a popular internet villain, he became addicted to negative attention. He turned into a prolific troll, heckling Hillary Clinton, preventing the public from hearing a new Wu-Tang Clan album, and creepily hitting on Katy Perry. But on Sunday, when he targeted Trump-bashing journalist Lauren Duca, Twitter decided it was too far, and suspended his account. (The details of how Shkreli harassed Duca are disturbing, so you'll definitely want to read all about them here.)
Of course, this isn't the first time Shkreli has been suspended by Twitter. But like most trolls, he always slithers back sooner or later. Everyone knows that racism, open threats, and intimidation don't get you permanently removed from social media. Only posting boobs can do that.
4. Emma Watson, because her Beauty and the Beast doll looks more like the Beast.
If you didn't know that Emma Watson is starring as Belle in Disney's upcoming live-action Beauty and the Beast remake, you might want to check your internet connection. This movie has Disneyphiles and Potterheads alike frothing at the gills with excitement (even if the Beast is a little fugly). But now, those fans are recoiling in horror from a brand-new doll produced for the film. It's supposed to depict Watson as Belle, but it seems to have more in common with the gargoyles from The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
That is pretty weird. The large head and prominent forehead make it look like something a beach boardwalk caricaturist would draw. But a lot of fans saw something else in "Belle's" face. Something you won't be able to un-see.
Damn it, Bieber! Can't we enjoy ONE piece of 90s nostalgia without having to be reminded of his dumb face? If Disney really wanted him to be involved in this movie, they should have just cast him as Gaston. At least that would make sense.
3. Jimmy Fallon, because his Chris Rock impression didn't quite land.
Tonight Show giggler-in-chief Jimmy Fallon hosted last night's Golden Globe Awards, and the reviews are in: he was fine. With the exception of a minor technical mix-up during his monologue, Fallon coasted through the night with his trademark professionalism. He even dropped in some of his famous celebrity impressions. But he decided to debut one that didn't quite live up to his standard: his fellow Saturday Night Live alum, Chris Rock.
2. A drunk woman who tried to ditch the cops by driving into a river.
A Pennsylvania motorist is in custody after sacrificing her car and freedom just to prove how much she loves beer. The individual, whose name has not been released, was wanted by police last Monday after blowing through a stop sign.
She was tracked down to a boat launch in the town of York Haven, where officers blocked in her Subaru Outback and attempted to talk to her. But she outsmarted their blockade by gunning her engine and driving straight into the Susquehanna River, winding up about 20 feet from the shore.
The cops waded out to pull her from the car, but she refused. Newberry Township Police Sgt. Keith Farren told the York Daily Record, "She stayed in the car and continued to drink her beer."
She was taken to the hospital while police conducted their investigation. If I were them, I'd be investigating where I could find some of that beer. That stuff sounds good.
1. A man who stole tools from his job and accidentally tried to sell them to his boss.
A would-be-thief is behind bars after experience the most ironic wrong number mixup in history. The Times West Virginian reports that 37-year-old Shawn Nelson Furner of Fairmont, West Virginia was picked up along with an unnamed cohort after someone reported them as suspicious persons to the police.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a large number of Snap-On brand tools in the trunk of Furner's car. The car was towed, but there was no evidence of a crime, so Furner and his buddy were returned home. And that's where this gets interesting.
Furner's boss, the owner of Mike's Auto Repair, reported to police that an assortment of Span-On tools had been stolen earlier that day. And he had good reason to suspect that Furner was involved. Apparently, Furner had called him and told him he had Snap-On tools for sale. But when Furner realized who he had dialed, he explained it was a wrong number and quickly hung up. "Bullet dodged," he must have thought.
Police acquired a warrant to search Furner's home and vehicle. They found the stolen tools and arrested this mastermind on two felony charges: breaking and entering, and conspiracy to commit a felony. He's currently being held on $40,000 bond. But he should be back on the street just as soon as his cohort gets his hands on $40,000 worth of tools.
While most celebrities loved Meryl Streep's speech after she received a lifetime achievement award at the Golden Globes on Sunday night, there were two attendees of the award show who weren't really feeling it.
Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn are two of Hollywood's staunchest conservatives, and needless to say, they weren't thrilled with what Meryl had to say. Lucky for us, because they worked on the film Hacksaw Ridge together, they were seated at the same table and the camera was able to capture this priceless reaction shot to Meryl Streep's anti-Trump speech.
Of course, Twitter noticed Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn's reactions, and then had a field day.
You guys, I don't think Vince Vaughn and Mel Gibson liked Meryl Streep's speech. pic.twitter.com/53vwbKcwia

We're sure Kristen Bell wasn't the only one wearing a butt pad on the Golden Globes red carpet, but she sure as hell was the only one sharing it on her Instagram story.
The image in question was uploaded to Reddit by user MelvinDickpictweet. In only four days, it's received more than 40,000 upvotes, so there must be something to it. The uploader titled his masterpiece, "This sliced ham looks like it's out of focus." And so it does.
Let's get this out of the way: it does look out of focus. Don't try to pretend it doesn't. But unlike other viral optical illusions, this one is easy to understand. The slices are thin enough to be translucent, and they have almost identical marbling patterns. The fact that they're layered slightly off-center creates an effect similar to what you see when you cross your eyes.
Still skeptical? Then you have trust issues, dude. But don't worry. The uploader even made a video to demonstrate what's going on.
That should be enough evidence for anybody. And it gives some more much-needed information about this ham: it's old and gross. If you ate that stuff, your eyes would cross for real.
According toThe Mirror, Calado had been working on a rap song all year that he wanted to propose to Ward with. The lyrics were carefully written to reflect their life together, and at the end of the song, Calado would present the ring and ask Ward to be his bride. But when it came to the moment of truth, Ward was NOT having it. Throughout the rap, she continually turns off the backing track in anger, and even called her boyfriend a "f***ing d***" at one point.
The video was uploaded to YouTube along with this description:
Me and my girlfriend never really seem to argue, until we get in the car... I wanted to give us a reason to always be happy in the car! Combine that with the fact she always mocks my singing and would never in a million years expect me to break into song...and this was the result! :) Enjoy!
Luckily, Calado managed to make it through the song and was able to drop more than just a beat. He popped the question, she turned truly impressive shade of red, and the couple pulled into what appears to be a (very romantic) truck stop so Calado could make it official by getting down on one knee.
Even if it was not captured on film, Ward will probably never forget the proposal.
Monday morning found Donald Trump tweeting about (what else?) someone he feels has wronged him, bigly—Meryl Streep. During Sunday night's Golden Globes awards ceremony, Streep used her acceptance speech to voice her dismay over Trump mocking a disabled reporter in 2015. Trump, in turn, took to Twitter and told his over 19 million followers that Streep is "one of the most overrated actresses in Hollywood."

Now Twitter is roasting Trump, coming up with lists of other things the President-elect probably considers overrated, using the hashtag #ThingsTrumpThinksAreOverrated.
