The day has come for us to prepare to say goodbye (in a few months).

Jon Stewart is leaving. It's time for us to accept that.

He's even given us the exact date: August 6th, 2015.

It's no longer some nebulous time in the near future but a specific date, after which he'll be taken to a farm upstate where he will play all day with our other favorite hosts who have departed from TV.
