This dog having its portrait done at Disneyland is ridiculously cute.

On October 14, a woman named Katie, going by the Twitter handle @cutiechaser_, tweeted a picture of a dog having his portrait done at Disneyland by a caricature artist, just like a human. Just look at him! He thinks he's people! Who is a good dog? Is it him? YES, IT IS!

Along with the picture, Katie included the (very excited) text "MY PARENTS ARE AT DISNEYLAND AND JUST SENT ME THIS." The tweet has received over 130,000 likes and been retweeted over 50,000 times since being posted, because come on, how cute is this?

BuzzFeed tracked down information about the yellow Lab (who, according to the portrait being drawn, is apparently very interested in surfing) and found out that the dog is a service dog-in-training named Yahoo (aww) who currently lives with in San Marcos, CA with a volunteer owner. Yahoo is part of Canine Companions for Independence, which, according to spokesperson Jeanine Konopelski, is a nonprofit organization that helps with the breeding and training of assistance dogs.

The volunteer is responsible for Yahoo's socialization and basic training for his first couple of years, and if he does well, he'll go on to professional training in 2017, to become an actual service dog who knows things like how to pull a wheelchair, open doors, and turn lights on and off. When he's done, he'll be provided to a person with disabilities for free.

Konopelski guessed that Yahoo's person was probably teaching him to follow commands and remain patient amidst a lot of distractions, since that's a skill he'll one day need on the job.

The volunteer confirmed this, saying "This type of socialization gives them the confidence to go to such places with their graduate partners in the future."

According to Disney's website, service dogs are allowed into their parks, although they are restricted from certain attractions, for obvious reasons.

Shia LaBeouf got all shook up telling Ellen about his Elvis-themed wedding.

Newlywed Shia LaBeouf stopped by The Ellen Showto show off the music hall of fame he has tattooed on his knees and clear some things up about his very random, very Shia-like Vegas wedding.

LaBeouf was a wee bit defensive when Ellen asked if he was indeed betrothed to actress/model Mia Goth, clarifying that this was not a performance art bit like his 24-hour elevator ride.

LaBeouf and Goth are officially man and wife, as their taxes will reflect this coming Tax Day, but the ceremony officiated by the King was not supposed to be livestreamed. The guys at the Viva Las Vegas chapel leaked it to TMZ,and while LaBeouf was pissed at first, he was glad and their dads got see it.

Amanda Seyfried explains how fear of a brain tumor led her to get help for her OCD.

Amanda Seyfried is the latest celebrity to get real about living with mental illness. The actress opened up about her obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) in an interview with Allure (she's on the November cover) and criticized the stigma that keeps people silent about mental health issues, which affect millions of Americans.

The discussion began when Seyfried said she chose to not install a stove in the guest house of her home in upstate New York (she was afraid it could burn down) because of her OCD. The 30-year-old actress said she has been taking Lexapro, an anti-anxiety medication, to treat the disorder since she was 19.

“I’m on the lowest dose. I don’t see the point of getting off of it," she said about Lexapro. "Whether it’s placebo or not, I don’t want to risk it. And what are you fighting against? Just the stigma of using a tool?”

Society has been slow to accept that mental illnesses, like anxiety and depression, are legitimate health issues and need to be treated just like physical illnesses such as diabetes or cancer. Seyfried phrased it perfectly to Allure:

A mental illness is a thing that people cast in a different category [from other illnesses], but I don’t think it is. It should be taken as seriously as anything else. You don’t see the mental illness: It’s not a mass; it’s not a cyst. But it’s there. Why do you need to prove it? If you can treat it, you treat it.

The actress said she first realized she had a problem when her OCD-related anxiety convinced her she had a brain tumor (fortunately she didn't). She was referred to a psychiatrist and now, thanks to therapy and medication, said she's doing much better. “As I get older, the compulsive thoughts and fears have diminished a lot," she said. "Knowing that a lot of my fears are not reality-based really helps.”

In recent years, more celebs have opened up about their mental health struggles, like Lena Dunham (OCD) and Demi Lovato (bipolar disorder, eating disorders and addiction). Their stories serve as a reminder that there is nothing weird or shameful about mental illness. So props to Seyfried for being as down-to-earth and real as her Mean Girls character wasn't.

Security guard lashes out at the Paris hotel that put Kim Kardashian at risk.

By now everyone knows about the robbery of Kim Kardashian West at Paris' Hôtel de Pourtalès early in the morning of October 3. It was reported that the concierge at the front desk was the one who led the thieves to West's suite and let them in. Now the 39-year-old employee, who was actually a security guard and not a concierge, is speaking out about what went down and faulting the hotel for its lax security. He is also planning to take legal action against the hotel for the trauma he experienced.

The guard, who wishes to be referred to only as Abdulrahman, told the Daily Mail, "There was no real security at all. It’s a choice. The hotel doesn’t mind about security. We told them years and years before, you have to make a camera, you have to put [in place] a security process, about keys. Nothing was locked, there was no proper security there."

He also disclosed that the front door's security code hasn't been changed in years, and that "everyone knew it." In fact, according to the Daily Mail, it still hasn't been changed, two weeks after the robbery. He'd emailed his bosses at the firm in charge of the hotel's security in 2010, warning them of the hazards of such insufficient security.

I told the hotel years ago, you need better security and they didn’t mind. If you look at that big door, it wasn’t locked, it was open. We talked about it and nobody cared. The code of the door was never changed and everybody knew it. There is a camera in the main wall of the hotel, behind the big red [front] doors, but it didn’t work for years.

Police insiders told the Daily Mail that the lack of CCTV in the hotel was deliberate, so that rich clients couldn't be filmed with guests such as prostitutes or business associates.

The security inside the hotel is no more comprehensive than the camera coverage, with just a wooden door to West's suite that had only one lock (said to be a Yale-type lock), and no bolt.

Abulrahman told the Daily Mail that on the morning in question, he was behind the desk when he saw what he thought were policemen outside the glass door. They made a motion for him to open it, even though he gestured to them that it was unlocked. Once he opened it, one man threw him to the ground and handcuffed him. At that point he still thought they were actual police, but when one of them asked him, "Where's the security video?," he realized it was a robbery.

He continued, "At first I looked at them and one got very angry. He asked me to put my head down and never look at him again. He repeated, 'never, never look at me, or I will kill you.' I saw that two of them had guns, then I just looked down."

Abdulrahman's former colleagues at the hotel described him to the Daily Mail as a "loyal, hardworking and extremely intelligent employee," who did everything within his power to protect West.

Sources familiar with the police investigation also told the Daily Mail, "The security guard witness has clearly been through a terrible time, but his evidence is now absolutely crucial. It is only him and Kim Kardashian who have seen the robbers, but she is no longer in France to assist us. First hand, live testaments are always crucial."

Abdulrahman, however, is not very happy with the police, claiming that they haven't done a good job with the investigation so far. He also said, "I ended up having the handcuffs on until almost five in the morning because policemen did not have the ability to open them. . .It made me upset. The police were not very professional. They did not look after me afterwards, they didn’t offer me any counseling or anything. Psychologically, I have to repair myself."

On top of that, he says that the police gave the media confidential information he provided during his witness statement, which now puts him in danger.

"They told the press that I said [certain details] about the robbers’ identities. That was very dangerous for me, as it shows I gave evidence to the police."

But more than the police, Abdulrahman is angry at the hotel, telling the Daily Mail:

Immediately afterwards, I was very angry, and the first one I blamed was the hotel. They are responsible, I think. And I still blame them now.

I told them, "look what you did! What I told you for six years?" Security cameras and other things are meant for days like today, to prevent these things from happening. If you have good guards, electronic systems to lock the doors, it can be possible to secure the hotel.

One day, someone might be killed. That is more important than a robbery of rocks and metal.

Jimmy Kimmel had Donald Trump, Billy Cosby and Isis on his show on Monday, but before you start writing angry letters to ABC about that horrible line up, check out the video below.

Though being Donald Trump can get you some perks like concert tickets and preferential treatment at your local seafood joint, sharing a name with the most hated presidential candidate in our nation's history is probably more trouble than it's worth.

Khloe Kardashian responds to Trump calling her a 'fat piglet.'

Earlier this week we learned Trump fired Khloe Kardashian from The Apprentice because she was a "fat piglet." Today, Khloe came back with some choice words of her own.

According to the Huffington Post, Trump said, "What is this? We can't even get the hot one? Why don't we fire Khloe? She is a fat piglet. Why did we get the ugly Kardashian?"

Gross.

Today Kardashian responded to Trump's remarks, and she was neither offended nor surprised.

“I didn’t think he was saying those things about me,” the 32-year-old told the LA Times.

It's unclear if she means she doesn't think he said those things about her, or if he said those things at all, but either way she's not letting those words touch her.

I’m a tough cookie, so something that he said — that's not gonna bother me. Ninety percent of the time, [criticism] doesn’t bother me. I’m not sure why. I think I’m just in my own world. But I believe that's why [those incidents] happen to me, because I can take it. If that’s what it takes to get even just this little group of people to realize how shady and bad and negative that one person is, I can take it.

She goes on to talk about Trump's character in general and surprise surprise, he lost her vote.

“But he says those comments about a lot of women. Really derogatory things. Someone who is that simplistic to judge things off of surface is not someone I want running my country. It’s not cool or appropriate for any person, male or female, to judge someone else by their looks. I find it really cruel. It’s wild.”

Forty-one-year-old Maguire and 39-year-old jewelry designer Meyer made a joint announcement of the split in People, saying they plan to keep things harmonious for the sake of their two children, daughter Ruby, 9, and son Otis, 7.

After much soul searching and consideration we have made the decision to separate as a couple. As devoted parents, our first priority remains raising our children together with enduring love, respect and friendship.

These celebrity divorce announcements are always so awkward, but necessary when you're in the public eye and trying to get ahead of the media circus. As gooey and lovey-dovey as this split-speak is, at least they didn't use therm "conscious uncoupling."

In any case, it's sad news for the family, but maybe it will give Meyer the chance to kiss someone rightside-up.

Women are hitting back at Trump with #GOPHandsOffMe rallies across the country.

Women are gathering across the USA calling on GOP leaders to un-endorsealleged sexual predator Donald Trump for Pussy Grabber-in-Chief.

In Philly, Chicago, New York, and DC, women are gathering at Trump hotels chanting such chants as “Donald thinks he runs this town, pussy came to shut it down!” and "Love trumps hate!"

The rallies were organized by group Pussy Grabs Back, who got the ladies in formation with some really, really, awesome signs.

Police were on sight in New York as women sat and chanted, "Un-edorse Donald Trump!"

The action is going down in front of a Trump-Pence campaign office in Philly, and they're taking on the GOP as a whole.

In Chicago, Trump supporters staged a counter-protest.

And men supported the women, too.

Plus, Chicagoans really upped the poster game nationwide.

Only 21 days left to go.

It’s handled: Kerry Washington gave birth.

Scandal star Kerry Washington and husband Nnamdi Asomugha welcomed baby number two on October 5th, completing their family of four. Their daughter, Isabelle Amarachi, is two. According to E! News, their newborn son is Caleb Kelechi.

Can you imagine a cuter family?

Asomugha and Washington have been married since July of 2013 and announced that they were expecting their second child back in April. Since then, Washington has treated us to a plethora of red carpet maternity fashion that we will look back on fondly now (and forever).

Remember this Brandon Maxwell dress she wore at the Emmys?

Then there was this amazing short dress from Giambattista Valli.

And this sparkly Marc Jacobs number she wore on her first public appearance after announcing her pregnancy.

Preggers or not, Washington always slays the red carpet. Congrats to Caleb for having such a cool mom.

Stephen Colbert reveals the hidden pattern in all the conspiracies against Donald Trump.

Long after Glenn Beck gave up on it after being mocked, Stephen Colbert still loves his conspiracy blackboard, and it's given him some of his most memorable moments (see below). This week, he tackles all the invisible enemies Trump sees and rails against on the stump, trying to figure out what could be behind all this. Bankers, riggers from "other communities," drugs...there's just so many moving parts. But, once he starts to dig, a hidden symbol exposes itself.

This isn't the only time Colbert has solved Trump's mysteries on the blackboard. Colbert also decrypted Trump's gross credit-taking for the Orlando shooting.

Horrified by Trump, dad writes letter to his sons about what 'being a man' really means.

Michigan dad Derek Steele (cool name) is going viral with an open letter to his two young sons that he shared on Facebook. After seeing the leaked video of Donald Trump bragging to Billy Bush about assaulting women, and after Rudy Giuliani defended Trump by saying, "Men at times talk like that," Steele decided he couldn't have his boys growing up thinking behavior like that has anything to do with being a man.

"Men at times talk like that." -Rudy Giuliani Caleb and Ethan: Fortunately right now you are too young to be exposed...

Posted by Derek Steele on Sunday, October 9, 2016

Here's the full text of Steele's post:

"Men at times talk like that." -Rudy Giuliani

Caleb and Ethan:
Fortunately right now you are too young to be exposed to or interested in political discourse. And you are much too young to have Facebook accounts. But I imagine there will be a time in the not too distant future when you are on Facebook and we'll be friends. I also imagine that at some point after that whether out of boredom or interest you'll look back through your old man's posts for some funny stories and maybe some tidbits of wisdom - so I'll leave this right here for you.

Men do not, at times, talk like that. Sure some individuals with an X and Y chromosome like you may say something like that, but we do not call them Men. We call them perverts, abusers, or rapists - not Men. Real Men don't do that and wouldn't even think to say that.

You will hear a lot of people tell you what Men do or what it takes to 'be a Man'. The vast majority of it will be total garbage. If you want to be a Man, forget about machoism or sexual conquest. Being a Man is not about that. It's about protecting those around you who are weak or innocent - maybe a child being bullied or your own children. It's being awake at all hours of the night to warm a bottle, change a diaper, change the sheets on a wet bed or even worse. Men get puked on, pooped on, bled on and cried on. It's about being open with someone, vulnerable and accountable. It's admitting your mistakes and failures - in all its ugliness - and seeking forgiveness, over and over and over again. Real Men play dress up and enjoy tea parties and will make a complete fool out of themselves just to hear a child laugh. They cry, even weep, when the situation calls for it. They respect, honor and cherish women because all of them are human - created in the image of the Creator.

It's tough being a Man. Hardest work you'll ever do. So when someone tries to justify abhorrent words and behavior by sullying your good reputation as a Man - be angry and speak up. Don't let them define you down by their conduct. In short - be a Man.

Sincerely,

Your Dad

Steele's heartfelt and poignant letter has resonated around the world on Facebook, racking up more than 3,600 likes and more than 2,200 shares. It's a testament to the power of a father's love. It just grabs you by the heart and won't let go.

Ever wondered 'what's the worst that can happen' when doing a hot pepper challenge?

0
0

The aptly named Journal of Emergency Medicine details the terrifying case of a man who ate a ghost pepper and spent the next 23 days in the hospital after rupturing his esophagus.

His plight is much more extreme than the final minute of any Carolina Reaper challenge video, although the ghost pepper is actually much tamer than the Carolina Reaper.

But the ladies in the video above did not end up with a "2.5-cm tear in the distal esophagus." The patient in the Journal's report suffered from Boerhaave syndrome, according to the Huffington Post, also known as spontaneous esophageal rupture. Also known as an "inch-wide hole in his throat." Also known as sweet god no.

And while you expect pain when you enter a contest to eat a hamburger garnished with ghost pepper puree, you don't expect to spend nearly a month in the hospital.

As you can imagine, the hamburger consumption was followed by "retching and vomiting," a trip to the hospital, and likely severe regret.

Whereas for most people, it just results in millions of YouTube views.

7 things you missed today while you were at your boring adult job: Billy Bush, Obama, Weight Watchers.

It was a busy day on the internet today. But you had to go to work, so you probably missed a lot. After all, you had a busy day yourself, filling out Excel spreadsheets and making copies of important paperwork and giving Linda side-eye for using the microwave in the break room to heat up fish. Not to worry. We're here to catch you up. Here's what you missed today, October 18, 2016, while you were at your boring adult job.

1. Billy Bush was officially fired from NBC.

2. The trailer for Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg's VH1 cooking show is weirder and more amazing than we ever could have hoped.

3. Stephen Colbert helped President Obama brush up on his job-hunting skills.

4. Amanda Seyfried opened up about her OCD.

5. Emma Stone has a killer Britney Spears impression.

6. Donald Trump tried to kiss a little girl. She was not having it.

7. People are not so thrilled about Weight Watchers suggesting that bigger women don't enjoy sex.

Weight Watchers ad under fire for suggesting fat women don't enjoy sex.

0
0

Weight Watchers recently caught wind of the phrase "sex sells," launching the new "Weight Watchers Black" campaign that's all about the connection between size and sexytime.

Step one: Make the connection, and suggest that overweight, fat, or just not super-svelte women don't enjoy sexing as much.

In addition to the video which includes a woman saying how losing weight makes her want sex more Birdie Jabour of the Guardian Australia received a weird promo in the mail: A special "mood light" to screw in before screwing.

The box reads:

Let’s be honest for a minute, sex is pretty damn fantastic. But if you’ve ever felt self-conscious in the sack you’re not alone – we’ve heard that more than half of women have avoided sex because they were worried about how they look.

This globe is a ‘mood light’ designed to give you a little boost in the bedroom (a PG sex toy, if you will). We hope it helps you start seeing yourself in a new light – to love how you look and love how you feel.

TL;DR You need to change how you see yourself, be it with a lightbulb or weight loss.

The internet sees through the ploy.

Sadly, making women feel bad about themselves so they buy things has literally sustained economies for centuries.

But by now, women have caught on, and brands are going to have to try harder to be cleverer.
