Group chat with drunk friend gets real when the police chime in.

A group of students at Cardiff University in the U.K. got a bit of a surprise recently when the police unexpectedly joined their group chat.

20-year-old Lawrence Court, group chat participant, posted a screenshot of the conversation to Twitter.

The students' friend Cameron had apparently gotten a little drunk, and couldn't remember his address. So, the police hopped in on their group chat to see if any of them knew where he lived.

Court told Mashable that he and his friends were a little skeptical at first. (How often do the police just randomly appear in your group chats?)

"We naturally thought it wasn't real and that Ron (the guy involved) was playing us," he explained.

When the friends went so far as to "call bullshit" on the whole ordeal, the police proved they were telling the truth in the best way possible.

That's right. This police officer invoked the power of the selfie to prove his legitimacy. And what a selfie it is.

You just never know who's going to show up in your group chat.

Demi Lovato celebrates five years of sobriety with moving Instagram post.

Demi Lovato is celebrating a major milestone in her life— five years of sobriety!

The former Disney Channel star posted this screenshot of her sobriety tracking app that shows she has officially been sober for half a decade as of March 15th, 2017.

So grateful. It's been quite the journey. So many ups and downs. So many times I wanted to relapse but sat on my hands and begged God to relieve the obsession. I'm so proud of myself but I couldn't have done it without my higher power (God), my family, friends, and everyone else who supported me. Feeling humbled and joyful today. Thank you guys for sticking by my side and believing in me.

💗

Lovato has been very honest about her past struggles with alcohol and drug abuse. In 2013, she opened up to Access Hollywoodabout her cocaine addiction and alcoholism in an extremely candid interview.

"Something I’ve never talked about before, but with my drug use I could hide it to where I would sneak drugs. I couldn’t go without 30 minutes to an hour without cocaine and I would bring it on airplanes," she said . "I would smuggle it basically and just wait until everyone in first class would go to sleep and I would do it right there. I’d sneak to the bathroom and I’d do it."

😈

A post shared by Demi Lovato (@ddlovato) on

Demi Lovato realized she had a serious problem when she was only 19-years-old.

"I was going to the airport and I had a Sprite bottle just filled with vodka and it was just nine in the morning and I was throwing up in the car and this was just to get on a plane to go back to LA to the sober living house that I was staying at…," she recalled. "I had all the help in the world, but I didn’t want it. I had a moment where I was like, 'Oh my God… that is alcoholic behavior. [It’s] no longer, I’m young and rebellious and out having fun, it was, wow, I’m one of those people…I gotta get my s*** together."

And she did. In addition to being five years sober, the superstar singer continues to be an amazing role model by advocating for those who struggle with mental illness while juggling her rapidly growing career. Keep killin' it, Demi!

Justin Trudeau brought Ivanka Trump to a Broadway musical about welcoming foreigners. Hint, hint.

Canadian Prime MinisterJustin Trudeau, who differs from the Trump administration not just in terms of aesthetics but also in the principle of accepting immigrants and refugees, treated First Lady Ivanka Trump to an educational experience.

Ivanka Trump was among Trudeau's 600 hot dates (including 125 ambassadors to the United Nations) to see the Broadway musicalCome From Away. The show is about Gander, Newfoundland, a tiny town that housed thousands of people who were stranded when North America closed its airspace on September 11th, 2001.

The "hot date" is also the ultimate shade, as the musical sings about generosity towards people in need, including (gasp!) Muslims facing prejudice in the wake of the attacks.

Ivanka Trump was taking in the Broadway musical just as a federal judge put a nationwide restraining order on Donald Trump's Muslim Ban 2.0, and he raged against the ruling at a campaign-style rally in Nashville, NBC News reported.

Who knows if the message went over Ivanka's pristinely coiffed head, or if she spent the entire show looking around to stare lustily at Justin Trudeau.

Trudeau introduced the show, saying, "The world gets to see what it is to lean on each other and be there for each other through the darkest times."

Here's hoping Ivanka was listening.

My dad suggests she just might have had an ulterior motive.

Snoop Dogg's video response to Donald Trump's tweet slamming him is extremely Snoop Dogg.

On Wednesday morning, President Donald Trump opened Twitter and logged his opinion on a controversial Snoop Dogg music video into the presidential record.

The above tweet—a reaction to violent imagery against a Trump impersonator in Snoop's video for "Lavender"—was sent at around 7a.m. East Coast time. Historically, Snoop Dogg both lives on the West Coast and smokes marijuana, so it seemed safe to assume that he was not awake at the time of the presidential statement.

But as the day went by, Mr. Trump's tweet still did not earn a response from Mr. Dogg. He did not seem bent on entering a Twitter feud with the President of the United States, which seems like a missed opportunity for the rapper who once had it out with the arguably-more-dangerous-than-Donald-Trump Suge Knight.

Eventually, we got a very laid back video response that does not mention Donald Trump's name.

Here's Snoop Dogg's answer to the POTUS:

A post shared by snoopdogg (@snoopdogg) on

"They all want to ask me questions and interview me but guess what? I've got nothing to say, mate," said Snoop Dogg. The inexplicably British accent, the grin—Snoop Dogg is not the least bit rattled, and he couldn't even muster the energy to turn the light on.

In the past, Snoop Dogg's done his best beefing on behalf of Dr. Dre. You can only imagine the drama if a billionaire business mogul decided to pick a fight with the president.

Dr. Pimple Popper forces out a huge, 'percystent' cyst from this patient's cheek.

Another day, another huge, cheesy cyst that needs to be drained. In this video, dermatologist Dr. Pimple Popper, a.k.a. Dr. Sandra Lee, takes on the "percystent" cheek cyst that the patient's had since she was a kid.

Because this cyst is on the patient's face, Dr. Pimple Popper wants to keep the cut as small as possible, in case it leaves a scar. This means that instead of trying to get the cheek cyst out whole, she squeezes, squeezes, squeezes until all that gooey goodness is good.

According to the video's caption, the stuff inside epidermoid cysts is "macerated keratin (wet skin cells)." Since this cyst is old, those skin cells have been collecting for quite some time, making this a big sucker. "When I was in high school, it was the size of an M&M," the patient reveals. Well, now it's the size of a giant gumball, but not one you'd want to chew.

Winter Storm Stella dumped a huge layer of snow over much of the country overnight on Tuesday, and many areas are still struggling to deal with it. Like this train station, where some clever individual decided it was worth shoveling the platform, but not the tracks. So when an Amtrak train came barreling through, it instantly buried a whole crowd of commuters, who stood right next to it with their phones out instead of running for the hills.

Luckily for us, one of those commuters was Nick Colvin, who captured the moment in beautiful slow-motion video. He uploaded his clip to YouTube with the caption, "Train moving faster than usual plus fresh snow from Stella resulted in a more spectacular arrival than expected."

In other news, it's mid-March. Can we be done with this snow crap already?

On Wednesday night, a federal judge in Hawaii halted Donald Trump's Muslim Ban 2.0. According to CNN,hero Judge Derrick Wilson cited "unrebutted evidence of religious animus driving the promulgation of the Executive Order and its related predecessor."

Translation: Trump straight-up said that he wanted a Muslim Ban, and that his undeniably unconstitutional.

Trump supporters on Twitter are absolutely scandalized by the fact that a judge would dare to rule against discrimination on the basis of religion, and are halting their plans to go to paradise.

Hawaiians and comedians are trolling the hashtag, imagining how much better the islands will be without self-proclaimed deplorables.

Woman goes viral doing remarkably successful makeup tutorial on top of a moving vehicle.

Many busy women are used to getting creative while doing their makeup on the go, but Anne Rhycie Kate Custodio, creative director for RANGE Advertising in Philippines, took things to another level when she did a full face of makeup (plus hair!) while riding on atop a moving vehicle. This is great, because how many times have you watched a makeup tutorial and thought, "I wish this tutorial were more XTREME!"

Warning: This is level 10 makeup, not for beginners, do not try at home.

GIRL ALMOST FELL OFF AT THE END THERE. At least she would have looked cute for the paramedics?

This is especially impressive because I poke my eye with my mascara 9 times out of 10 and I am on solid ground. What is this glamorous sorcery?!

Mom undergoes dramatic hair transformation to make a point about gender equality.

Short hair, don't care. Virginia Mellen shaved her head to show her 15-month-old son that “there is no particular way a mom or a woman is ‘supposed’ to look,” according to Yahoo! Beauty.

Virginia Mellen posted the picture of herself with her freshly shorn hair in the "secret" Facebook group Pantsuit Nation (it's a closed group, so we're unable to link to it). The Maine mom's caption read,

I shaved my head for the first time in high school, and then a few more times throughout college. I always felt most comfortable, confident, and attractive with a shaved head. Over the past few months I wanted to do it again, but I kept hesitating — "Is this OK to do now that I’m a mom?" "What will people think now that I’m older?" "What if people incorrectly think it’s a political statement, or I had a mental breakdown?"

I want my son to grow up with a mom who doesn’t make decisions about her appearance based on what other people think. I want him to know that there is no particular way a mom or a woman is ‘supposed’ to look. So last night I shaved my head, and you know what? I don’t think he noticed. #nastywoman #lifestooshort #pantsuitnation

Speaking to Yahoo Beauty, Virginia Mellen said the first time she shaved her head she was 17 and was just looking to try something new. She wasn't worried about what other people might think about her hair. She explained that she's generally a self-conscious person, but she thinks shaving her head gave her confidence—she didn't have hair to hide behind, so she had no choice but to just be herself.

This time around, though, the idea of a shaved head felt different. Mellen explained,

I was more nervous to shave my head. For me, one of the most difficult aspects of becoming a mom has been the weight of society’s expectations — the notion of what a "good" mother is. On any given day there are countless opportunities for us to second-guess ourselves, to feel like somehow we are not enough. A hairstyle may seem a little trivial, but shaving my head makes me feel powerful because it is a daily reminder that I made a decision based on my own self-image, and not based on our society’s expectations. That’s the "me" I really want my son to know.

Female anchor has perfect response to viewer who complained about her "revealing" clothes.

Class act. I've known this since day one...way back when we were on WISN 12 NEWS This Morning. I'm thrilled about his...

Posted by WISN 12 Toya Washington on Monday, October 31, 2016

Last week, Washington received a letter from an anonymous viewer complaining about her wardrobe choices. The viewer told Washington that as of late, her outfits on-air had become too "revealing."

“Lately, your style of dress has become ‘more revealing’ and ‘less professional’ … and there’s no reason to wear what appeared to be a ‘camisole’ … to increase your ratings.”

Yes, the viewer accused Washington of wearing revealing clothes to up her ratings. But wait, there's more!

After suggesting that Washington should learn from her more modestly dressed colleagues, the viewer wrote this: "Our main objective when watching the news is to get the news, not to see the amount of 'exposed skin' a female anchor is showing. Quite possibly, you might be 'feeling your age' as an anchor, and think that ‘less dress is more.'"

Oh, and also, they had the audacity to end the letter with, "Keep up the good work."

Anyone else feel like bashing their head against a wall? Just me? Cool.

Washington posted a photo of the letter to her Facebook page, along with the perfect response to the anonymous complainer.

I'm likely opening up a can of worms here...but you know me...sometimes I can't resist.

This is laughable my friends. I don't know where to begin...because there's a lot to unpack here. Especially considering I've acquired one new dress in my work wardrobe in the past few months (the 4 dollar one that has a higher crew neck, mind you). In regards to the "camisole" (if that's even a word still commonly used in the fashion world), if I was wearing said "camisole" it was likely because whatever I was wearing might have been a little low for my comfort level.

Let's be clear here...I'm a competitive person by nature so yes, I enjoy winning. I feel confident in saying this...collectively at WISN 12 NEWS we enjoy a good fought win, but with the QUALITY of our product. Not with personal stunts. So no...one-less-button isn't my style. It's beneath me.

As far as "feeling my age"...wow. Just. Wow. If "feeling my age" is in reference to still being able to effectively slay at work and at home as a wife and mother, then yes...I feel star-spangled-banner good for "my age." For the record and "for my age", I haven't been this fit and in shape since high school. Which apparently was forever ago...

Trust me, I'm trying to appreciate the buried compliments within the context of this mail. However, it's challenging when it's left unsigned. An anonymous letter (in my opinion) leaves one with diminished credibility. Unless you're a source who's key to uncovering a newsworthy scandal.

I'll continue to "keep up the good work" regardless of your opinions. And no, I won't be changing my style.

Now I need to remember what I wore on 2/24...so I can wear it again.

Yes, girl! And while Washington is busy slaying at everything she does, we'd just like to take a moment to remind this anonymous viewer that it is not their place to decide what clothes are acceptable for female anchors to wear. Kay thanks bye.

I'm sorry the winter lasted so long that your booty call turned into a relationship.

Trump's 'advisers' doomed his new Muslim Ban because they couldn't keep their mouths shut.

On Wednesday night, U.S. District Judge Derrick Watson of Honolulu, Hawaii successfully halted President Donald Trump's second executive order banning travel to the US from residents of six Muslim-majority nations. After Trump's previous ban was ruled illegal and shut down by multiple federal courts in February, the White House spent weeks crafting a replacement designed to be unsinkable. Then, mere hours before it was to be put into effect, it was sunk.

"What gives, judicial system?"

Judge Watson's decision immediately sent shockwaves through the worlds of politics and the media, infuriating the president and causing his supporters to start a movement to boycott Hawaii. But ironically, it seems that it was the words of some of Trump's closest confidantes that motivated Watson's ruling.

In his decision, which is available in full online, he made the same argument that judges had used to block the first travel ban: that it had no clear purpose except to prevent Muslims from entering the country, which is unconstitutional. He wrote:

The record before this Court is unique. It includes significant and unrebutted evidence of religious animus driving the promulgation of the Executive Order and its related predecessor.

The second ban tried to avoid this issue by making concessions to Muslims: removing Iraq from the list of targeted countries, and eliminating a provision that exempted Christians. But what the Trump administration didn't count on is that judges could use the public statements of White House advisers as evidence, and there's no controlling what those people say.

Judge Watson's decision states:

The day after signing the first Executive Order [No.13,769], President Trump’s advisor, Rudolph Giuliani, explained on television how the Executive Order came to be. He said: “When [Mr. Trump] first announced it, he said, ‘Muslim ban.’ He called me up. He said, ‘Put a commission together. Show me the right way to do it legally.’”

Et tu, Rudy?

Later on, Watson adds:

On February 21, Senior Advisor to the President, Stephen Miller, told Fox News that the new travel ban would have the same effect as the old one. He said: “Fundamentally, you’re still going to have the same basic policy outcome for the country, but you’re going to be responsive to a lot of very technical issues that were brought up by the court and those will be addressed. But in terms of protecting the country, those basic policies are still going to be in effect.”

Behind those dead eyes, he has the soul of a blabbermouth.

In those statements, Giuliani and Miller totally undermined the Trump administration's careful plan to establish that the new Muslim ban was, unlike its predecessor, not actually a Muslim ban. Giuliani even used the phrase "Muslim ban." And because their statements are legally admissible, the White House faces an uphill battle to ever get any version of their executive order through the courts.

But hey, at least Kellyanne Conway didn't say anything this time.

These GOATs biked for seven hours just to draw a goat.

A flock of avid cyclists and goat enthusiasts went on a long journey through Perth, Australia to become the Greatest Of All Time.

These GOATs biked seven hours to draw a detailed outline of the animal, complete with hooves and a smile.

Ben Jones and his teem of riders readied for the journey with helmets, special socks, bike shoes, and of course, a stuffed animal.

The crew make up an amateur cycling team called FGHTCLB.CC, and completed the character in seven hours over 126 miles (202.8 kilometers for the metric folk).

Jones told ABC Radio "it was just a fun way to spend a Sunday."

The crew chose to bike a goat because "Goats are badass and they're an easy animal to draw in profile."

The guys tracked their progress on the app Strava, which comprehensively maps it up if you ever find yourself wanting to get your goat on in the Perth area.

The picture went viral on Reddit, and the team is already discussing their next route.

"There is talk of doing a quokka or a numbat or some other iconic West Australian animal,"Jones said.

"Part of the reason we actually did this now is that my partner is nine months' pregnant, she's due in about four days," Jones added.

"It was something fun to do before I have a kid — geddit?"

Selena Gomez talks about going to rehab for an addiction you probably also have.

Selena Gomez might seem like she truly "has it all"—a hugely successful career, the most Instagram followers of anyone in the world, and a boyfriend named "The Weeknd."

But the singer battles demons like the rest of us, which she opened up about in April's Vogue cover story.

Last October, the 24-year-old checked into rehab to deal with mental health issues which at the time she attributed to "side effects from lupus," canceling the 34 remaining dates of her Revival tour. She spoke to Vogue for the first time about rehab, which she calls "one of the hardest things I’ve done, but it was the best thing I’ve done."

"Tours are a really lonely place for me," she tells Vogue. "My self-esteem was shot. I was depressed, anxious. I started to have panic attacks right before getting on stage or right after leaving the stage. Basically I felt I wasn't good enough, wasn't capable. I felt I wasn't giving my fans anything, and they could see it — which, I think, was a complete distortion."

Gomez checked into a treatment facility in Tennessee where she lived with six other girls. "You have no idea how incredible it felt to just be with six girls," she says. "Real people who couldn’t give two s--ts about who I was, who were fighting for their lives."

During her 90-day stay she gave up all social media including Instagram, which she says was contributing to her low self esteem. "As soon as I became the most followed person on Instagram, I sort of freaked out," Gomez recalls. "It had become so consuming to me. It’s what I woke up to and went to sleep to. I was an addict, and it felt like I was seeing things I didn’t want to see, like it was putting things in my head that I didn’t want to care about."

She's not the only one: reportedly one-in-four women struggles with mental health issues, and researchers say social media addiction is a major contributing factor.

"I always end up feeling like shit when I look at Instagram," says Gomez, who currently has 113 million followers."Which is why I’m kind of under the radar, ghosting it a bit."

The star has since deleted the app from her phone. And she said she has about 17 people she stays in contact with, and "maybe two are famous" (I have some guesses who they may be).

Now, she tries to avoid social media altogether, which explains why she recently posted then quickly deleted a video of her and The Weeknd.

The most telling revelation from the Vogue story comes at the end, when she reveals that she's not such a fan of being famous. "Look, I love what I do, and I'm aware of how lucky I am, but — how can I say this without sounding weird? — I just really can't wait for people to forget about me," she says.

Srsly, major kudos to Selena for her honesty and openness about mental health issues. I probably won't forget about her. But if she really wants me to, I'll TRY. Selena who?

Woman finds the 'grossest thing' in her airplane blanket. It's exactly what you think it is.

If you don't already have a fear of flying, you definitely will after hearing this story.

Comedian Nicole Byer was not laughing when she got a disgusting surprise while on a recent Delta flight. As Byer unwrapped a blanket provided by the airline, she discover that it has definitely been used before...as toilet paper.

Ew. Ew. Ew ew ew ew ew ew ew a hundred times EWWWWWW.

Yes. Byer literally discovered human feces in her Delta Airlines-provided blanket.

Understandable.

And before you ask—yes, it was one of the blankets that comes pre-wrapped in a bag that is supposed to signify that the linens inside have been properly cleaned and folded.

Jokes aside, this is truly so unsanitary. Sure, people often talk about how airplanes are flying tin cans full of germs, but this is next level.

Delta did end up responding to the tweetstorm, but Nicole Byer wasn't buying it.

Looks like Delta has some sh*t to sort out—literally.

Couple's party bus disaster results in hilarious wedding photos.

This couple started their married life off with a bang. Literally.

Iowa newlyweds-to-be Krissi and Shane McCollow rented a party bus to drive them and their friends to the church on their wedding day. Sounds fun, right? What they probably didn't expect was for the bus to literally catch on fire.

The couple's wedding photographer, McKaila Hanna, told ABC News that they started to suspect something was amiss when the bus become extremely warm during the ride.

"The bride and groom asked the driver to adjust the heat a little bit, then it started getting kind of smoky and almost too cold so thought we should have him turn the heat back on," she said. "Nothing happened, and even more smoke started to come into the bus. It was hazy in there."

Both the bride and the driver wanted to make sure they got to the wedding venue on time for the ceremony, so they kept driving.

Luckily, the wedding party safely arrived at the church. But the poor bus couldn't take it anymore. The tires blew and the bus went up in flames.

Fortunately, Krissi's dad is a fire captain and was able to keep everyone calm.

Nick Sorbe, who owns and manages Dolly Party Bus of Cedar Falls, told ABC News the fire was caused by a "faulty brake chamber." No one was injured.

The bride had a good sense of humor about the whole ordeal and said she always knew there'd be something that went awry on her wedding day.

“I do hair so I always hear brides ask, ‘What’s going to go wrong,’” Krissi told ABC News. “Then they tell me the dress ripped or the tux didn’t fit, because something like that always happens. The night before our wedding I thought, ‘What would mine be?’ I never in a million years thought it would be a fire on a bus much less lead to this much attention.”

Something tells us the explosive party bus will become one of Krissi and Shane's most cherished memories. Luckily, they got this wedding day pic surrounded by the fire department to remember it by.

Cole Sprouse lived your dream and got to be on Friends. After years of living with The Suite Lifewith his twin Dylan, Sprouse is now his own man, playing Emo Jughead on Riverdale.

In an interview with the New York Post, Sprouse reflected on his days as playing Ross's son Ben.

"I must have been maybe 7 or 8. I was only in seven episodes, but it’s funny now that people are recognizing me for that because my brother and have been working since we were 8 months old," he says.

Sprouse had a hard time in certain scenes as Ross's son, because like Ross, he was in love with Rachel, aka Jennifer Aniston.

He says:

I had a really, really hard time working with [Jennifer] Aniston because I was so in love with her. I was infatuated. I was speechless — I’d get all bubbly and forget my lines and completely blank … It was so difficult. [laughs]

Because all ten seasons are on Netflix, people are calling Jughead Jones/Cody Martin/Cole Sprouse his old, old, old name.

"Having responded to a Disney show for such a long time, people can call me 'Ben' on the street and I will turn around," he says, "It’s a funny little process."

Next time you see Cole Sprouse on the street, just holler "Ben!" and he'll turn around.

I'd really like to go out with the Throwback Thursday version of you.
