Reese Witherspoon pays tribute to the smallest co-star of her biggest movies: Bruiser Woods.

Reese Witherspoon took to Instagram on Friday to break the sad news that the dog who played Bruiser Woods in 2001's Legally Blonde, real name Moonie, had passed away at the very respectable age of 18. As sad as the news is that he is no longer here, take solace in the fact that the rescue dog he had a longer career than most humans, and was personal friends with Gidget the Taco Bell dog. He also got to wear a lot of cute outfits.

Before Witherspoon went online to honor him, the dog's trainer, Sue Chip, announced his passing on Instagram, remembering the last time the co-stars reunited, at Witherspoon's induction onto the Hollywood walk of fame. She wrote:

"With a sad heart, I have to let all the #LegallyBlonde fans know that Bruiser Woods (also known as Moonie) passed away yesterday. He was a sweet little Chihuahua who was very loved. I will never forget all the days we spent together ... I'm sure his tail is wagging in the sky. Sending love to his trainer, the wonderful @tailsticks #RIPBruiser"

Reese then posted her memorial a few hours later, helping millions of Legally Blonde fans through their grief. She wrote of Moonie,

RIP to the only purse dog all of America could agree on.

This ball puts out fires when it explodes. What sorcery is this?

$

The Elide Fire Ball is exactly the opposite of what it sounds like—it's a ball you throw intoa fire, whereupon it explodes and puts the fire out. It's also really cool to watch.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mu4HKPoDHZw

Its inventors, a German start-up, hope this idiot-proof design will provide "the simplest and fastest way to extinguish fire" and will improve on current fire extinguishers, which many people don't know how to properly operate—you're supposed to spread it around the whole burning area, but many people in the heat of the moment spray it directly into the center of the fire. (Warning, although this next video is cool, there's loud and not awesome music.)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyGjUnJKbZk

At a little over 3 lbs, it's light enough for anyone to throw, whereas many larger extinguishers are quite heavy. The 140 decibel explosion it makes also serves as a fire alarm. It also doesn't do damage to people in the vicinity, as this video makes clear. It can also be stored on the wall of high-risk areas, where it will automatically explode when reached by heat. Making the world safer is always a good idea, but when you can make it safer and cooler at the same time—that's awesome.

These 42-year-old twins who speak in unison and have never had boyfriends are actually pretty cool.

One of the best parts of the Internet is when a video is offered up for mockery, but then the commenters and a little bit of research reveal that the people being laughed at are actually pretty respectable—like the very identical twins Bridgette and Paula Powers. An old video of the twins was posted to Reddit with the title "These twins are the most annoying people in the world," and stayed near the top of the site for over a day. The video is about 10 years old, from when the twins were 32, and to be fair, it is both fascinating and challenging to watch. The sisters speak in (almost) unison, and their inseparable, chaste lifestyle made for an easy target.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtEdP267TZ0

But before long, people from the South Coast region of Australia (south of Syndey) began commenting that far from being scorned, people in the area are quite fond of the Powers sisters, whom everyone refers to as "the Twinnies."

Furthermore, in normal conversation they don't always speak at once, although locals do think of the Twinnies as a singular unit. Most importantly, everyone in this coastal region knows that if you come across an injured or sick bird, they're the ones to call. (That said, as one reporter discovered, if you call them and ask whether you're speaking to Bridgette or Paula, the answer you get is just "yes.") The two now run the Twinnies Pelican and Seabird Rescue in Landsborough, Australia.

https://vimeo.com/110040719

Even though they still do everything (and often speak) together, it does take two people to hold down a giant, sick pelican:

https://www.facebook.com/twinniespelicans/videos/vb.183044771708137/1142619885750616/

Furthermore, you can't help but be impressed that the Twinnies raised these orphaned black swans from cygnets and returned them to the wild:

https://www.facebook.com/twinniespelicans/videos/vb.183044771708137/1145493578796580/

They are still living the bachelorette life, but whereas in their interview at 32 they speculated about living next door to each other with their (presumably identical) husbands, now, they say, "We give all our love to the birds." Their mother tried setting them up on dates with twin boys, but it never clicked. And when a man on Facebook saying he wanted to marry them both (something they probably hear not infrequently), the Twinnies responded, "But you don't have feathers...lol"

If you'd like to donate to their efforts, you can do so here.

Malia Obama has the exact right reaction to her sister Sasha getting to meet Ryan Reynolds.

When President Obama hosted Canada's hunky prime minister, Justin Trudeau, the state dinner that followed was attended by a number of Canadian-born celebrities, like Mike Meyers (who debuted his new bright-white hair) and Ryan Reynolds. Reynolds (accompanied by Blake Lively in a very silky bathrobe) took the time to chat with Sasha Obama, who was clearly a big fan. As the younger First Daughter got to briefly experience being a normal teenager again in the face of Ryan Reynolds's face, Malia flashed her sis a double thumbs up that simultaneously says "you got this" and "I am gonna make fun of you so hard later."

https://twitter.com/AmeliaClaire94/status/708426604020629506

If one were to guess at the dialogue in this photo, it probably went something like this:

"Hey, are you Malia Obama?"
"Oh god, Ryan Reynolds is in my house. I mean yes! I'm Oblia Malama."

https://twitter.com/WGlodi/status/708500641828700160

It wasn't the only time of the night the Obama daughters were the center of attention. President Obama got choked up talking about how grown up they were (Sasha is headed off to college in New York in the fall), and Prime Minister Trudeau dedicated part of his talk to them as the fellow child of a world leader.

Hank Green makes a compelling case for why 'Parks and Recreation' may be American democracy's last hope.

Although it has come to an end, Parks and Recreation will be remembered not just as a show with an amazing cast and hilarious writing, but for being something almost no scripted series is these days: optimistic about American politics. As the very web-famous Hank Green argues in his even-more-famous brother John Green in their long-running Vlogbrothers series, Parks and Rec's real message is one America badly needs to hear in 2016: that people with opposing viewpoints, like Leslie Knope and Ron Swanson can recognize each other's goodness and work together, even when they totally disagree.

Steven Tyler's new girlfriend is 10 years younger (than his daughter Liv).

Steven Tyler may be the lead singer of Aerosmith and a former American Idol judge, but he is also a man—a 67-year-old man who is rumored to be dating 28-year-old Aimee Ann Preston. She is still technically older than Tyler's youngest daughter, Chelsea, 27, and 10 years younger than his oldest, 38-year-old Liv. Actually, rumors the two were an item have existed since at least 2014, but they made their first public appearance as more than just employer and assistant (oh yeah, she was his assistant) at the Elton John AIDS Foundation's Academy Awards viewing party.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhhEYviDpeM

As mentioned, it's not the first time this rumor was floated, and it's not like the two haven't been seen together in public—it's just that they were usually photographed with other celebrities creating a buffer zone between them, like John Mayer:

https://www.instagram.com/p/j0fEQOuEfC/

Anyway, as young as Ms. Preston may seen, let's not forget that she's still too old for Leonardo DiCaprio.

Ariana Grande fantasizes (and sings) about her future celebrity scandals on 'SNL.'

Ariana Grande was the host and musical performer on Saturday Night Live on Saturday night, establishing right off the bat that she indeed a human and not a Starbucks drink, so you can stop making that joke now. The beautiful human ponytail with the voice of Mariah Carey has been in show business for years, but her biggest scandal so far has involved her being caught with her mouth on a display donut rather than a dude or drug. Watch her ponder which celebrity scandal to go with in a jazzy, sultry tune.

Whichever path she chooses, she'll certainly go out with a Bang Bang.

Ariana Grande whipped out her best musical impressions to save Tidal on 'SNL.'

Ariana Grande is awesome at musical impressions, so it makes sense she would show off that talent during her SNL hosting-and-musical guesting gig. In this sketch about the day power went off at Tidal, Grande saves the day by showing off her Britney Spears, Rihanna, and most uncannily, a dead-on Shakira. This gif from SNL's Twitter feed sums up how you'll feel after watching it.

Culminating in "I Will Always Love You," Grande proved that there are still pop stars who can sing:

'SNL' skewers Hillary Clinton's attempts to transform herself for Millennials voting for Bernie.

On the March 12 episode of Saturday Night Live, the show followed up the previous week's brutal Trump ad by mocking Hillary Clinton's attempts to "steal the bern," as it were. (Ed. note: I just thought that phrase sounded good, please don't send me angry emails.) The Clinton camp continues to be mystified that Millennials are supporting Bernie, so the former Secretary of State will do what she always has: what she must—by undergoing her most dramatic transformation yet.

On the March 12th episode of SNL, Ariana Grande did some awesome singing impressions of Shakira, Celine Dion, Britney and Whitney, but her best impression just involved nailing a lower speaking voice. On "Family Feud: Celebrity Edition," a classic SNL showcase of random impressions, Grande did a stellar Jennifer Lawrence, laying down the J. Law with such Cool Girl lines as, "Screw it I can have fun I'm a regular person."

Much like last week's cold open, there was almost too much politics to fit into the beginning of the March 12 episode of Saturday Night Live—but from Carson endorsing Trump to Bernie (Larry David) apologizing for what his incredibly diverse group of white 18- to 19-year-olds have done to everyone's Facebook. Not appearing in this sketch was host Ariana Grande, who both did excellent singing impressions as well as impersonating Jennifer Lawrence later in the show. Without further ado, here's the political material that ensures SNL stays relevant every four years:

Remember the Ashley Madison hack? That was a scary time for cheaters. If you're a cheater, you might be thinking to yourself "thank goodness I never signed up for that" or maybe you never married anyone, so you only cheat on girlfriends or boyfriends. Well, tough news, pal: the rest of the Internet is also an amazing place to get caught screwing around, and that's exactly what happened to these people.

1. ROXANNE, you don't have to put on that right swipe.

2. If you have a moment, read the story about how these three women found each other and exposed this dude.

3. Cheating on your wife is only slightly worse than being a loud a-hole yelling at his bros on a train.

4. There's no way Kevin was just having "convo."

5. On the upside, these guys seem to get along great.

6. Srsly, those guys giving hickeys are so disrespectful of our soldiers abroad.

7. Hopefully this list is good enough for you, Meghan.

8. You're a disgrace to Johnnies everywhere, Jonny.

15 DIY projects by very crafty parents that will make you insanely jealous of their children.

The Internet is full of galleries of DIY projects for basement bars, gaming rooms and home movie theaters, but the ones that inspire the most envy are the amazing tree houses, playrooms, bunk beds, gifts and more that crafty parents make for their kids—because they'll make you wish you were their kids. The DIY forum on reddit is an amazing repository of all kinds of amazing craftiness, including these amazing projects to give kids a magical childhood. Here are 15 of the most impressive creations parents have carved, nailed, welded, painted, and glued together for their offspring.

(If you are on mobile, tapping directly on the picture will take you to the next one in the gallery.)

1. Ignore the awesome in-home slide (that was the kids' 2013 present), and watch user possumism fulfill his girls' request for a "Hello Kitty" and "dragon" computers:

2. When Janku had to figure out what to do with the dying tree in his backyard, he was finally able to fulfill his daughter's request for a clubhouse, resulting in something you could call an elven gazebo.

3. Proving a kid is never too young to get a hand-crafted (or laser-crafted) gift, lumpytuna carved these wonderful alphabet blocks (covering way more than just the alphabet) for her godson. She also makes stuff for adults at Obscenerie.com.

4. This dad, ConnellyPhoto will forever be a hero to his daughter for making her the ultimate Captain America shield.

5. If this treehouse looks impossibly good, take comfort in the fact that the guy who made it goes by TheTreehouser online and DIYDad on YouTube. He's even got tutorials on how to make your own.

6. It's been featured on Someecards before, but Trey Bagley's Harry Potter-inspired clock that shows where everyone in the family is at any time (like the Weaselys) is too cool not to be on this list. It uses the location data from the 6 family members' phones to light up the LED indicators on the clock face.

7. Another entry that's been written about here in the past is this kitchen playset that a crafty couple made for their son, which sparked a nasty backlash from Internet trolls (and kind support from others).

8. When Dare Stevens, a filmmaker and parenting book author, found out he had skin cancer, building a "backyard paradise" for his daughters kept him positive during treatment. (Click through the 99-image gallery or watch the timelapse video.)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbKP-A2q0VQ

9. This dad made sure his toddler would grow up to be a proper nerd by making her a Star Wars speeder-bike rocking horse. (Fast forward to 0:52 to see the finished product.)

https://youtu.be/NkL7DrGZtAg

10. Here's another awesome project from The Treehouser: turning his daughter's elevated bed into a groovy VW bus-themed playhouse. There's even another tutorial. He says this whole thing cost about $100.

11. Maybe the most impressive entry on this list, radamshome's daughter requested a "Fairy Tree" for her bedroom, and the result is better than anything you've ever seen at F.A.O. Schwartz or Disneyworld. Read more here.

12. Relatively new dad BadSmash4 figured out how to keep his daughter entertained and keep her away from things she shouldn't be touching by creating an incredibly stimulating activity board that also teaches shapes and color. It was a first birthday present. (Here's another great example.)

13. Another first birthday present, stellar mom pippx turned her son's ceiling fan into a glow-in-the-dark constellation map, and a glowing Earth when the light is on.

14. Starting from your standard plastic playhouse, captainpsp turned it into the most exclusive clubhouse in the neighborhood, only accessible via tunnel (which has a ladder, although it's not visible here).

15. Finally, bennyboy1337's customized nerf guns turned his kids into soldiers of the First Order (or Imperial stormtroopers, but there's a good chance these kids are fans of the newer stuff).

Kim Kardashian posted a cute Snapchat of North West literally just hanging out.

Even though North West has gone on record that she's afraid of Snapchat, her mother definitely isn't. On Saturday, Kim Kardashian continued her campaign to desensitize her two-year-old daughter to social media, sharing a video of North hanging upside down from a bar underneath a desk.

"That's a tough workout," Kim can be heard saying from behind the camera.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BC3QqsPl12G/

North West's workout attire seems to consist of a white top with a red skirt and red shoes. Kardashian captioned the Snap "She thinks it's Valentine's Day EVERYDAY!!!!" in typed text and added, "I'm not kidding" with the Snapchat drawing/pen tool. Get used to it, North. Everyday may be Valentine's Day, but even the most mundane activities can make it Snapchat Day, too.

North is going to have to ramp up her fitness game, though, if she wants to compete with her mom, which she hopefully isn't too concerned about yet. And someone please put a mat under that kid's head.
