Michelle Obama and the Cleveland Cavaliers took the 'mannequin challenge' to a whole new level.

The Cleveland Cavaliers visited The White House yesterday where they were honored by President Obama for winning the NBA Finals in June. But way more importantly, they hung out with Michelle Obama and participated in the latest viral internet craze, the "mannequin challenge."Watch the entire team of NBA players and various White House staff freeze like mannequins somewhere in the oval office, to the tune of classical music. It's pretty incredible.

Someone on Twitter was quick to point out that LeBron James failed the challenge by blinking.

But you would blink too if you were staring at Michelle Obama, who probably emanates light. Still, James seems like he had the time of his life, and followed the #1 rule for chilling at the White House: Instagram everything!

"Come a long way from Akron man! So damn blessed and humbled," wrote a very grateful LeBron in the caption. Mostly it's nice to see Michelle Obama smiling, after spending the morning welcoming Donald and Ivanka Trump to the White House. And you think you had a day!

Now let's hope the First Lady decides to take the mannequin challenge up another notch entirely, by freezing time so she and Barack can be our First Lady and our President forever.

Facebook told a bunch of people they were dead but if you're reading this, you're not.

Well it's been one hell of a week in America. ICYMI: we elected a deeply divisive reality star to run the country. Drake and Taylor Swift might be dating. And then, earlier today Facebook told a bunch of people they were dead. That's an unnerving message to get, especially when you're alive.

In a weird ending to the weirdest possible week, around 3:45 pm, a banner at the top of many Facebook users' profiles showed a message that read: “We hope people who love [your name] will find comfort in the things others share to remember and celebrate [your] life.”

Huh. Well, this was either a bug or a reflection on the current state of things in the USA.

Turns out, it's a bug—and an unintentional reflection on the current state of things in the USA. In a statement to The Huffington Post, Facebook (the entity! it speaks!) said the mass memorial messages were a “terrible error."

“For a brief period today, a message meant for memorialized profiles was mistakenly posted to other accounts,” said a spokesman. “This was a terrible error that we have now fixed. We are very sorry that this happened and we worked as quickly as possible to fix it.”

So, that solves it. You're not dead, and Facebook is very sorry. You may or may not be.

Kumail Nanjiani from 'Silicon Valley' was harassed by Trump supporters in an LA bar.

Living in super-liberal Los Angeles and killing it as one of the funniest characters in a hit HBO comedy didn't save Kumail Nanjiani from harassment by gloating Trump supporters on Friday night. The Pakistani-American standup comic, who plays Dinesh on Silicon Valley, was out having drinks with co-star Thomas Middleditch when the pair were accosted by two bros who said they were "fans."

It just gets worse from there.

Nanjiani's story, of course, is one of far too many like it since Trump's stunning election victory on Tuesday. Multiple outlets, such as the Independent, are collecting reports of racist and sexist abuse in the wake of that result. Be safe out there and report anyone who threatens you.

16 hilarious photos of kids that perfectly sum up what living through 2016 has felt like.

There's no shortage of metaphors and similes to describe the experience of suffering through 2016, a year everyone agrees is the worst ever since 2015: It's been like getting repeatedly run over by a truck, falling into an open sewer filled with racist snakes, and, after all that, finding out that Santa Claus is going to jail.

But you know what captures the trials and tribulations of life in these troubled times better than mere words ever could? Children. And Imgur user victor777alorange has rounded up some of the funniest kid photos to ever remind us that the struggle is real. No matter how "grown-up" you are, you'll relate:

Hang in there, kiddos. It gets... well, not "better," but... yeah, I dunno. Sorry.

People are imagining all the ways Joe Biden could prank Donald Trump on his way out of the White House.

For the millions of Americans who don't support Donald Trump, watching him work with the Obama administration as he transitions into the presidency is nothing short of surreal. Some are figuring out how they can fight Trump's more outlandish proposals at the state and local levels of government. Others are taking to the streets in protest. And a few are making jokes on the internet.

Among those jokes, there appears to be a running gag about how Vice President Joe Biden—who did the sign of the cross in prayer when President Obama first publicly addressed Trump's election victory—might prank the incoming commander-in-chief. Because you know he's gotta be thinking about it.

But even if he doesn't end up getting petty revenge on Trump for all the mourning Democrats out there, Biden will always be an internet hero.

This grandpa took full advantage of every restaurant offering a Veteran's Day deal. As in, all of them.

On Memorial Day, we remember those American soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice, and those who survived war but have since passed away. Veteran's Day, however, is for the living—and you don't get more alive than Jack Sloan's grandpa.

As Sloan explained on Twitter, his grandfather, a Vietnam vet, did some homework and found out which restaurants in the area that were offering a free meal to veterans for the holiday. Then he stopped by each and every one to collect his feast.

That right there? That's America. We couldn't be prouder. And lest you think this was an easy feat, Sloan pointed out that his grandpa had to make significant preparations.

The only thing more patriotic than honoring our military service members is a strong work ethic. Oh, and free food.

Katy Perry explains why she just donated $10,000 to Planned Parenthood.

Among the national organizations that could potentially suffer under the looming Trump administration is Planned Parenthood, a reproductive health nonprofit that endorsed Hillary Clinton for president and is often targeted for proving abortions to women in need.

Which is why pop superstar Katy Perry—who campaigned for Clinton herself—just gave the group $10,000. "It's time to turn words into action," she wrote in the caption to an Instagram post of her donation. "There are so many steps to take, but my first vow is to support organizations that may have their funding support taken from them in the future by the government." She went on to explain how Planned Parenthood "educated me on my body and my reproductive health, so that I could focus on my dreams and using my voice until I knew the timing was right for me to make a plan to have a family."

It's time to turn words into action❗️There are so many steps to take, but my first vow is to support organizations that may have their funding support taken from them in the future by the government. I am making a public donation to Planned Parenthood for the teenage me who made several visits to first a clinic in Santa Barbara and then Los Angeles, CA to educate myself on my sexual health, a subject I had little to no information on because of my sheltered upbringing. I had no idea how things worked down there, and had no idea how to make a plan for them. Planned Parenthood educated me on my body and my reproductive health, so that I could focus on my dreams and using my voice until I knew the timing was right for me to make a plan to have a family. Since then, I have been able to focus wholeheartedly on bringing messages of strength and becoming a voice for others. Without this education, I may have had a different life path. That is just my experience, but I know Planned Parenthood's broader range of services can sometimes be the only medical support low-income families ever see. I know what it's like to need help. I came from a lower- to middle-class family and never grew up with the option of health insurance. I remember having 13 cavities as a teenager, and the best option my parents could come up with was to try and take me to Mexico because we couldn't afford anything in California. I am grateful for and stand in support of Planned Parenthood for giving Katheryn Hudson the knowledge to plan, and for continuing to be a haven for women to learn all options for their future. Now, more than ever, we all need to protect and create safe places for each other. I hope I can help inspire you to make a gift as well, and become a member and an ally. Other organizations seeing a flood of donations following Trump's election victory are the American Civil Liberties Union (which has vowed to challenge any and all of his unconstitutional agenda in court), the Southern Poverty Law Center (which fights hate groups and bigotry with educational campaigns), and the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (which is the country's largest anti-sexual violence institution). And if you want to do more than just contribute cash, all of these places need volunteers, too!

Pink is having another baby, reveals her pregnancy with the simplest possible Instagram post.

If it's easy for regular women to get caught up in the details of when and how to announce a pregnancy, celebrities must stress even more about letting the world know their good news. But singer Pink had a pretty simple solution—let the baby bump speak for itself.

"Surprise!" is the only caption she put on this Instagram photo of herself in lacy maternity dress, posing with 5-year-old daughter Willow. (This will be Pink's second child with husband Carey Hart. The comments and congratulations poured in, with one fan writing, "If I ever find someone to have a baby with I hope I look this majestic when I'm preggo."

We don't know when the little one's due, but we imagine the birth announcement will be equally to the point.

Kate McKinnon mourns Leonard Cohen and America by singing 'Hallelujah' as Hillary in 'SNL' opener.

While the last couple of weeks have seen Saturday Night Live open with hilarious face-offs between Kate McKinnon's Hillary Clinton and Alec Baldwin's Donald Trump, the first episode after the trainwreck of an election immediately struck a more elegiac tone. McKinnon, once again as Hillary, paid tribute to the recently departed poet and musician Leonard Cohen—and perhaps the dream of American democracy itself—with a soulful rendition of "Hallelujah," Cohen's most-covered song. If this doesn't make reality sink in for you, nothing will.

Get ready for thousands of women to march on Washington the day after Donald Trump's inauguration.

With women across the nation incensed that we just elected a guy who bragged about his pattern of sexual assaults to the highest office in the land, it was a sure bet that we'd see them fight the power. Indeed, even a month before the election, "pussy grabs back"—an inversion of Donald Trump's stated groping strategy—became a rallying cry for women aligned against him.

But the single largest demonstration of female solidarity yet is scheduled for January 21, 2017—the day after Trump is sworn into the presidency at the U.S Capitol. Originally styled as a "Million Women March" but now being called the Women's March on Washington, the demonstration promises to draw people from every corner of the country. More than 50,000 have already pledged to attend on Facebook, with another 140,000 interested.

The event will take place at the Lincoln Memorial.

Organizers have noted that the march is inclusive of all genders, races, ages, and orientations, as well as advocates for related causes. An itinerary for the day's agenda is forthcoming, and volunteers are working to create event pages for every single state to plan transportation and other details.

Let the revolution begin! It's up to us.

The only trouble so far (besides a few trolls) is that January 21 still feels so far off. But it gives you plenty of time to practice your protesting.

Congratulations to this woman who invented a whole new way of annoying the person behind her on a plane.

From manspreaders to seat-kicking children to just plain rude jerks, airplanes are full of complete strangers that can become instant enemies. But nobody on a flight is better equipped to annoy than the person sitting directly ahead of you. Between their reclining habits and their current gastrointestinal status, they can make a mere five-hour trip take a lifetime.

Yet we'd be lying if we said we'd ever encountered something like redditor Orygun-Not-Orygone's dad did on a recent jaunt via sky-bus. Behold, the future of irritating the person sitting behind you:

As many commenters with long hair pointed out, this is no accident. "You have to lift and flip your hair up for this to happen. Or potentially slide down from really high up," wrote one. Which, according to another, made asking the passenger to fix it all the more daunting: "For some reason I find it so much more difficult to confront someone who is aware of being rude." On that score, some suggested simply yanking (or trimming) it.

Meanwhile, not a few people became obsessed with the frizzy hair itself. "Hagrid having issues on muggle transport again I see," quipped one. "Goddamn, does this person wash their hair with hand sanitizer or something?" asked another critic. Truly, a mystery for the ages, though even the answer would do nothing to alleviate the nightmare that is having to ask a person to move their hair so you can see which episodes of The Office are on.

People are spreading the amazing rumor that Mike Pence likes to eat sticks of deodorant.

While all eyes are on Donald Trump as he prepares to assume a job he'd never thought he'd have, fewer headlines have surfaced about his Vice President-elect, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence. What we know for sure about him is that he believes LGBT people can be "cured" and he created an HIV outbreak in his home state.

Then, of course, there are the rumors about him: Some, including the theory that his daughter is a vampire, are simply ridiculous. Others, however—like the gossip that Pence enjoys eating sticks of ladies' deodorant—are much harder to debunk. But whatever the case may be, there's simply no need to gossip about this habit.

Looks like the mantle of VP jokes will have a smooth transition from Joe Biden to his successor, even if Biden is currently busy booby-trapping the White House.

Dave Chappelle delivered the post-election 'SNL' monologue that only he could—and sang Radiohead's 'Creep' at the afterparty.

"We've actually elected an internet troll as our president," Dave Chappelle said in a Saturday Night Live monologue that followed a somber performance of the late Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" by Kate McKinnon (as Hillary Clinton).

And while Chappelle got big laughs, he touched on some dangerous turf for comedy, including race, riots, police violence, the Black Lives Matter movement, and mass shootings. He also explained why he wouldn't leave the country after Donald Trump's election and imagined the first private Oval Office meeting between President Obama and his totally unprepared successor.

The episode itself featured a sketch about watching the election results live—with an unexpected cameo.

Elsewhere, Chappelle had to decide which of his old characters to finally kill in this Walking Dead parody.

And, with McKinnon, played out the attraction between two unfortunate drunks still at the bar for last call.

But the show didn't end there. At the afterparty, Chappelle once again took the stage to sing Radiohead's "Creep" with help from Leslie Jones.

In a life full of highlights? I'm glad I waited til 5:22am for this....

A video posted by Questlove Gomez (@questlove) on

The song seems to be a favorite of Chappelle's, as it's not the first time he's crooned it for an adoring audience.

It doesn't quite make up for the state of the country, but as far as entertainment goes, Saturday night was a smashing success.

John Oliver devotes a cathartic final episode to saying: 'f*** 2016.'

0

For the last Last Week Tonight of the year, John Oliver was treated to a smorgasbord of material all thanks to our new President-Elect, Donald Trump. Oliver focused his entire episode on the results of the election, questioning how the hell this could have happened and where we go from here.

Although Oliver discusses all facets of the election, perhaps the centerpiece of the episode is the discussion surrounding the spread of misinformation through social media that may have aided Trump in his win. While Trump constantly slandered (and continues to slander) fact-based reporting, many Americans on both sides supplemented their news with bogus articles, fake statistics, and conspiracy theories.

Oliver ended the final episode of the season with a completely glorious montage of people sticking it to 2016, one of the shittiest years in recent memory. Go ahead, throw up a couple of middle fingers and scream into the sky— it's very cathartic.

Well, if anything positive came out of this agonizing year, it has to be that catchy new national anthem. It does sound awfully familiar, though.

Donald Trump tells supporters 'stop it' in first television interview as president-elect.

In an episode of 60 Minutes with Donald Trump that aired Sunday, the president-elect told an edgy nation: "Don't be afraid."

Afraid? Us? Who's afraid?

"Don't be afraid, we are going to bring our country back, but certainly don't be afraid," continued Trump, face to face with Lesley Stahl. "You know we just had an election and it's sort of like, you have to be given a little time."

When Stahl asked Trump about incidents of "racial slurs" and "personal threats" against African Americans, Latinos, Muslims, and the LGBTQ community at the hands of his supporters in recent days, Trump responded:

"I am so saddened to hear that. And I say, 'Stop it.' If it—if it helps."

Then Trump took the opportunity to show off his reality TV chops. Finding the camera and gazing into it with all the confidence of Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino in a confessional booth interview for MTV, Trump continued:

"I will say this and I'll say it right to the camera: 'stop it.'"
